Just a quick taster of what to expect from Counter Strike, the main mode played is basically Search and Destroy, but it's played at a far quicker pace from what i've seen, with rounds generally being less than a minute long... there are other modes like TDM and one or two objective modes... i think its 5v5... you start each game with a pistol and can unlock weapons by getting kills, assists etc that earn you money to buy weapons with...

here's a video to show the basics, but this guy is playing on the PC and it seems as though the aiming is really easy, but im pretty sure that's just because its a lot easier to aim with a mouse than PS3 analogue sticks... also i think he must be playing either awful players or bots as he rapes...

haha, that guy makes it look well easy biggrin.gif

Game looks good. I have read somewhere though that the developers aren't implementing custom/private rooms on the console versions. I really hope this isn't true. It'd be such a waste.

yeah there is a 65 minute video on youtube of Europe vs USA on CS: GO and i watched about 10 minutes and they said that PC has custom games, but PS3 and xBox don't... which is a shame, and means that we couldn't compete, but there are worse things... plus on the 2 counter strikes that came out on PC their lifetimes were like 3+ years because the makers constantly update it with new maps etc... though i think that was because on PC a lot of players make their own maps and were able to just upload them... which obviously console players wont be able to do, but maybe they'll just upload PC maps onto consoles... which would keep things interesting...

yeah true. If a game is well made then public matches can still be fun and competitive.

It is kind of weird how developers aren't putting basic features like private matches into their games when PS2 games had it as standard over 5 years ago. You'd think with the increase in popularity of MLG and "E-Sports" that the ability to have clan matches would be one of the first things you'd put into an online multiplayer.
