- Looks nice and shiny and fast, hopefully it'll play good too

- Vague release date of 2012. At least we won't have another year to wait!

- Not sure what the hell's going on at the end with both teams shooting at the giant flying whale? Could be having a dig at CoDs killstreaks??

especially as Counter Striker is kind of SnD based (though there are other modes), but will still differ to CoD completely...

yeah Barney, hopefully others feel the same and want a change from the numerous tactical/military shooters flooding the market at the moment. It's about time that arena shooters returned to ascendency again

When you think about it, on a basic level arena shooters are really simple to get into. You just run about, pick up weapons and health and shoot whatever's in front of you. No tactical positioning, no aiming down sights, and even no reloading.

I guess it's just that the current generation of gamers are all used to a certain style of play now and may not be willing to make the switch and put the time in to learn the completely different skill sets required to do well at arena shooters. At least the graphics are nice so that's a good starting point for bringing in new players

Fun games last night Barney. You did well That Deathmatch server is pretty good for getting used to the game as it's UK hosted and usually too overcrowded for any of the top tier players to want to join. If you fancy any more games just let me know

I only stayed on for 1 more ctf map on strident against Bumrush. It was a good little battle, was 2-1 down before levelling in the last minute to take it to overtime. Still ended up losing though lol.

it didnt appeal to me but its worth a go for $10 (or as it will be in the eu store £10 despite the exchange rate). so il most likely get it.

Just think of it as a faster paced rfom where you can use all the weapons instead of just the carbine and fareye

for a tenner its an absolute bargain, and will get CoD players, and most PS3 players out of their comfort zone, as most games are pretty slow paced...

have to say that counter strike is the big game for me though... but i shall definitely be purchasing this...

i think the only thing that would stop me buying this is if they had no party/clan system which i dont think they will leave out.
everyone should be purchasing this for £10 although alot of COD fans wont even realise theres a new FPS out there.
& Blues i never could use the fareye on Rfom, olny managed to get about 50 kills with it lol

it probably wont have a party system adrem... it'll have custom games that people join... it's a good system...

I'm not sure if it'll have a party system or utilize custom rooms but they have mentioned that it will have a full clan system, extensive leaderboards and I think an integrated tourny system, which sounds pretty cool.

Barney, I reckon Counter Strike will definitely be worth checking out as well. I may be partisan towards old school style arena shooters but I'll still give it a shot. Besides the way things are shaping up it looks like Nexuiz will be released first so we'll be able to give them both a good look.

that's good, if they are released within a week of each other, as so many games seem for god knows why, keep doing... because if they are then one game will get left behind, like BF3 and MW3...
