The magic starts here, even at the entrance of Hogwarts. Right from the Hogwarts Express, students are transported to a very fascinating and also very safe environment to learn and grow in. You may go out on the fields and have a bit of a Quidditch match or fly around solo. Popular places to hang out such as the Green Houses and murky lake are also found here. Hagrid's class is right before you hit the Forbidden Forest, which, you can imagine, is forbidden to students.
Home to the most majestic gathering place around, the ground floor area consists of about four places: the Great Hall, a place to eat and socialize with friends, the Staff Room, the Broom Cupboards, and the mysterious Classroom Eleven.
You'll find a lot of empty classrooms and bathrooms on this floor. It's said to be haunted by a ghost by the name of Moaning Myrtle, a girl killed there decades ago. They even nicknamed it "Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom" because she's in it so frequently. And a secret chamber may be lying there as well...
It's the more strategic floor of the school. For example, Arithmancy and Wandless Magic's classrooms reside here. A little farther down is the bountiful library full of references and books. It's nearly impossible to get through in all seven years! Lastly, hidden in the crevice, is the Mirror of Erised room.
Every wizard's needs are met here. It's home to shops such as Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes, Florish and Blotts, Ollivanders, Madam Malkin's, Magical Menagerie, Quality Quidditch Supplies, Cauldron Shop, and Stationers. If you're tired from all the shopping, you can take a seat at the Leaky Cauldron or Florean Fortescue's. If your broke and looking to pull some money out, go to the trusted Gringotts Bank.
The village for wizards and witches. You can shop at Honeydukes, Madam Puddifoot's, Dervish and Banges, or Zonko's Joke Shop. For dining, there is the Three Broomsticks, and for a hard drink, just go to Hogs Head. Don't go to the Shrieking Shack, though. That place is definitely haunted.
