There are several rules you must follow if you wish to join the development team.

1. You must complete the application form.
2. You must agree that you will NOT leak any infromation about Project Advent to the general public.
3. You need to provide proof that you are suited for the job you're applying for.
4. If you're accepted, you need to make at least 1 post a week so that we know you're active. 1 post a week isn't asking much, so it shouldn't be a problem. If you need to take an extended leave for any reason just PM me.
5. If you're accepted, you have to PM me an email that I can reach you at. I need to be able to contact you via email.

If you agree to follow these rules than go ahead and make an application topic. The following positions are open:

Spriter
Area Developer
Programmer
Artist
Music Composer

Please understand that if you cannot perform any of these jobs at the level of quality that we require, you will not be accepted. Furthermore, if you cannot maintain the level required after becoming staff, you willbe kicked.

Question:
I'd more than love to be part of the team, but I couldn't be what you'd call a "dedicated ____." I can't just take up any assignment or make sprites/arts/sounds/code upon request. Is there any way to contribute to the project while still being able to not have to force the work out of myself?

Define 'area developer'? Is it somebody who designs the pathing for the areas, or somebody who actually creates/codes them?

Little of both. Area Developers design and sprite the areas, but they won't be coding them.

What type of proof do you need? just a statement saying what ive worked with? A screen shot? Or some software by me?

Software would be great, but a screen-shot should be fine.

Yea I checked it out on the shout box. I have worked with Game Maker before so I am familiar with it's contents/ functions. But I don't have any proof, so is it still possible for me to apply?

In my attempt to be a useful peon, i'm looking for a fast tut for game maker 7, anybody got a good one on their mind? I have the free version of it right now, I might be able to get it to pro during thanksgiving break.

You read my mind reb. I use different sites though.

My GM7 (non pro) installer was a bust, funny considering it was from their site. =x
