Sad. That’s the feeling that cold best describe Lena at this moment. She didn’t knew what was going on between her and Declan. They had been having so much fun together and her feelings were starting to grow every second they spent together. But where was he now and why was he been coming with all sorts of excuses to avoid seeing her? Mad. Maybe she should be mad. What if Declan had moved on and didn’t have the courage to tell her? She had been worried, before she gave him a chance, that he’ll grew tired of her and she was suspecting that this was the case. What else could it be? She had done nothing wrong. She wasn’t seeing anyone else, her flirting was in low levels and they had even slept together. I mean, shouldn’t they be already inseparable?
That’s why Lena was searching the entire school for him. He would not have a chance to disappear now. He will listen to her and he will explain his reasons for ignoring her like this. She was going to comfront him and there was nothing stoping. If she had to make a scene, then she will but she just wanted to be clear about things. She had been so confused for the last few days and this whole situation hurt her. Again, as she went from place t place, she tough of a reason . She didn’t want to acusse Declan of something he probably hadn’t done. Maybe he really was stressed with school and he needed to be alone for a bit. But if that was the case, then why hadn’t he been honest with her about it? Even so, whatever reason he may have to be ignoring her, Lena knew that there was something bad behind it. Really, really bad.
Lena was passing troughthe halls until she noticed Declan inside the gym. They were only a few other people working out because in about half an hour there were going to serve lunch and the earlier you got there, the hotter the food would be. Lena took a deap breath and entered the gym’s door. Hopefully Declan wouln’t come up with another one of his excuses and he’ll just agree to talk with her. “Declan!” lena said waving at him as she approached him. “Can we talk for a few minutes? I really want to have a talk with you.”

Declan was pretty sure his jaw was going to fall off it hurt so bad. His mouth muscles were exhausted and frankly he didn't know if it would ever feel the same again. Ever since Kyle had told him about what he had done with Lena, Delcan had been walking around with his jaw locked tight. It was all he could do to keep from blatanly gridning his teeth in anger.
He had been days away from asking her to be exculsive with him. He had thought of his disgustingly romantic dinner and how he would ask her. He had been head over heals with this girl. Now, he could barely stand the sight of her. If Delcan saw the russian princess coming down the halls, he opted to go in the opposite direction, no matter how late it made him to classes. If she was in the dining hall, he decided to spend his lunch period at the library. If she was in the common room, he decided he would rather be alone anyway. It had taken one night to pop his balloon and make him almost hate her. He still had that squeezed feeling in his chest. As though an iron clamp was clamped around his hole chest and was just tightening and tightening, waiting for him to just explode.
Part of him wanted to just run up to Lena and yell and yell until she could know how much she had hurt him. How he couldn't sleep at night knowing his room mate had gotten to know her in ways he had never gotten to. He wanted her to know how destructively frustrating it was to know that he was the better man and she had decided to fuck his room mate. But everytime he saw her he just left. Declan had never been confrontational. He knew he would eventually get over it. He had already found a human girl from town to ease his pain at night but when she wasn't there to distract him, Lena was all he could think about, and it worried him. Declan had never gotten this worked up over a girl, but he had known when he had met her that she was special. This fifth year had always had a knack at reading people and he just knew that this relationship was meant to be important. It was beyond disappointing to know that she had not felt the same at all.
Declan had been working out a lot since it had happened. He had taken out his anger on weights, swimming, running, soccer, boxing, anything he could think of. Tonight it was basketball. He had been there for about two hours now, and the more he played the worse he got. The image of his ruffled up room mate walking into the dorm and saying, "She was wild." It just made him so angry that his aim went awry. Finally, he just threw the ball as hard as he could, not caring at all where or when it landed. He watched the ball sore across the court and hit the wall with an unsatisfying smack.
"Ugh!" he finally called out in frustration. He grabbed handfulls of his own hair and thought about pulling it out. Maybe he would try the pool. Maybe the weightlessness would help. Or maybe he would get into town and get in a fight. Punching soemthing sounded awesome. Or maybe he would take his frustration out on Terra, the girl who had been keeping him busy. She always mistook his anger for passion. Declan didn't know what to do and it just made him more angry.
Declan turned suddenly as his name was called. He didn't need to turn around to know what who it was. The moment he heard her voice his brain started to work and he was trying to figure out what he wanted to do. Did he want to yell and talk to her? Did he want to run.
"I don't know. I was about to leave," he half mumbled coldly as she approached. "Meeting someone," he added, trying to give her a stab. He just wanted her to be punished.

Lena was disappointed. She hadn’t finished walking towards him and he was already making up excuses. But it didn’t matter what he said, she was going to convince him to stay. Declan couldn’t keep up with this any longer. If he was with someone else, then she deserved the right to know. But oh, was she going be mad. Mad with herself mostly, for letting herself trust Declan. “Oh, um, who are you meeting?” she asked knowing the answer. Was he going straight to confessions? Was he that anxious to get to her that he couldn’t even give Lena a modest explanation?
“Actually Declan, save it.” she said getting straight to the point. It was ridiculous f she acted like she was an idiot when she knew exactly he was dating someone. “I know the answer to that so instead I’m gonna ask a different question.” This was going to be the shortest break up ever. It wasn’t a positive thing because she really cared for Declan. He was so fun to be around him and she missed him so much. She didn’t even get the chance to say her goodbye before he ran off and substituted her for another girl. Again, she found herself mad at Declan but madder at herself. Lena was always trying to avoid heart breaks. That’s why she always played hard to get and this just proved her that it was a good thing to do.
Lena took a deep breath. It was such an easy question, a word actually, but she didn’t want to get emotional with him in any sort of way. She needed to remain calm, but how could she when he was looking everywhere around her except to her face “Would you please look me in the eyes when I talk to you?” Lena replied suddenly grabbing his face with her both hands and making him look at her “Why? That’s all I want to know. Tell me why and I swear I’ll never speak to you again.” Something she would miss. Lena left her hands placed on Declan’s check. Somehow she knew, this was the last time she would be touching his face and just the thought of that made it impossible to contain the tears. A few on them came out, but she didn’t wiped them away. She didn’t want to let go of Declan’s face. This break up was harder than the others she has had because Declan and Lena were friend before starting dating. Not only was she going to lose her boyfriend, but she was going to lose a friend.

Declan got a sick satisfaction as she inquired as to who he was seeing. He looked down at his shoes as she asked, not sure if he was hiding his embarrassment or the revenge he felt at her pain. He hadn't even been sure she would care if he was seeing someone else. She hadn't even bothered to tell him what she had done. Why was he obligated to give her that? He didn't owe her anything, as far as he was concerned. She didn't deserve his explanations or words or even his glances. She was the one who ruined this. She was the one who broke his heart.
Lena suddenly snapped back to her tiggeress and decided on another question. How dare she act like he was the bad guy? So what if he was sleeping with someone? So was she. At least she didn't have to sleep in the same room with Terra. Meanwhile, Declan had to hear about it from someone who he had thought was his friend. Declan glanced up at her harshness then rolled his dark eyes at her before returning them to look back down. His jaw was jutting out again. God he was mad. She pranced around like she owned him.
Her next move shocked him. His face was yanked up and he was forced to look at her. God he had loved those eyes. Her hands were warm as usual and they were soft on his scruffy face. He hadn't shaved in a couple of days, not being able to muster the will power as he sulked in his room, and despite how angry and shocked he was, Declan couldn't help but become self aware of this fact.
Why? Fuck you, why! Declan gaped at her for a minute as she finished before forcefully putting his large hands around her wrists and tugging her hands away from his face.
"Why?" he started loudly, unable to contain himself anymore. God. She was unbearable. He was not the bad guy. She was. This was her fault. "Ha!" He laughed in her face and took two steps away from her. "You tell me why!" he demanded. He was causing a scene. The few stragglers left in the gym stopped to stare before exchanging looks and setting off towards the lockers. The gym was silent for a moment, his yells vibrating off the walls.
"You walk in here like you're so God damn hurt. Why do you even give a shit who I'm seeing tonight? It's not like I don't know who you're meeting!"
Declan hated her even more now for making him get this angry. He hated yelling. He hated being like this, and it took a lot for someone to get this side of him out but Lena was apparently determined. Declan turned his back to her for a moment and paced in silence. "You're a real peice of work. Hypocrite," he mumbled under his breathe. "Got some real nerve." He wanted to calm down but all he could do was pace and threaten to pull his hair out again.
