Michael Gregson was sitting in his office, having found out not too long ago that the West Coast X-Men had ended up killing Sister, one of the big threats that Seattle had faced for a while. But as Michael found out, Sister was Silvia Lyon, one of the bigger names in Seattle. He was wondering what exactly would be done about her death, since there was a chance it would be at least mildly shocking that the woman was killed.

His superiors had told him to contact Transcendence about this, as well as check in on things. Generally, checking in on things wasn't the best thing Michael had to do. He sighed, setting the phone to speaker and calling the number to Transcendence Academy. He waited.

Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Finally, the ringing stopped.

"Liana Ripley, I presume?" he asked over the speakerphone.

Thespian was sitting in her office, resisting the urge to fall asleep as she filled out paperwork regarding the death of Sister. Even with the help of Detective Stix and the semi-willing cooperation of the Seattle Police Departments, there was still an ungodly amount of paperwork involved in this damn job.

And on top of all that, she had to prepare a lesson for English Comp 210 tomorrow morning.

Then the phone rang. Liana slowly lowered her face to the desk and let the phone ring for a minute before picking it up.

"Liana Ripley, I presume?"

"Yes. To whom am I speaking?"

"Yes. To whom am I speaking?"

Michael stayed silent for a moment, before finally speaking.

"Its Michael Gregson. You know, the U.S. Government Ambassador to Mutants," he said, letting it sink int for a moment.

"Anyways, just calling to check up on things over at Transcendence and Seattle. Normally I wouldn't, but you know, boss says I need to, so here I am," he told her.

"Well, on to the point of my little check up. I heard that you recently took out a big villain and threat to Seattle, so the pizza party is on its way," he said then started to laugh a bit.

"Sorry. Well, anyways, since Sister was Silvia Lyon, who you may or may not know from the Seattle community, her death is going to cause a bit of a stir, and the higher ups wanted me to check in on everything that would be happening," he finished.

[Ubermann]

"Its Michael Gregson. You know, the U.S. Government Ambassador to Mutants,"

Yes, I know. Get on with it. Liana thought, choosing not to voice it out loud.

"Anyways, just calling to check up on things over at Transcendence and Seattle. Normally I wouldn't, but you know, boss says I need to, so here I am,"

"So glad you care."

"Well, on to the point of my little check up. I heard that you recently took out a big villain and threat to Seattle, so the pizza party is on its way,"

"Oh boy." Thespian replied, voice completely deadpan.

"Sorry. Well, anyways, since Sister was Silvia Lyon, who you may or may not know from the Seattle community, her death is going to cause a bit of a stir, and the higher ups wanted me to check in on everything that would be happening,"

"Yes, well, it's being dealt with in an official manner, though the official story seems to be that she accidentally fell down the stairs. Don't blame me for that one, it's the Mercer Island Police Department's statement."

[Smedwicks]

"So glad you care."

Michael's eyes widened, "Well, I didn't mean that in a bad way. I just meant that you guys are just always doing such a nice job keeping things safe and good and happy and under control. Of course I care about you guys," he said kindly.

"Oh boy."

"Just a joke. I uh... don't have the budget to supply everyone at Transcendence with pizza..." he mumbled.

"Yes, well, it's being dealt with in an official manner, though the official story seems to be that she accidentally fell down the stairs. Don't blame me for that one, it's the Mercer Island Police Department's statement."

"Well if people believe it, then that's what's gonna matter," he said. He paused for a moment, before remembering something else.

"Oh yeah, I recently heard about a rumor that superstar actress Drew Bautista is coming to Seattle. My, uh... sources say that she's looking for a new house, possibly Silvia Lyon's now that she's, uh... well, yeah. Anyways, I'm not sure if you might want to help out on that or anything, not sure. But uhh... if you do end up meeting her, do you think you could snag me an autograph?" he asked.

[Ubermann]

"Well, I didn't mean that in a bad way. I just meant that you guys are just always doing such a nice job keeping things safe and good and happy and under control. Of course I care about you guys,"

Thespian rolled her eyes silently.

"Just a joke. I uh... don't have the budget to supply everyone at Transcendence with pizza..." Thespian heard mumbled from the other end of the phone.

"Goodness, imagine that. We're only home to hundreds of hungry teenagers."

"Well if people believe it, then that's what's gonna matter,"

"You should know by now that people will believe whatever they want to believe."

"Oh yeah, I recently heard about a rumor that superstar actress Drew Bautista is coming to Seattle. My, uh... sources say that she's looking for a new house, possibly Silvia Lyon's now that she's, uh... well, yeah. Anyways, I'm not sure if you might want to help out on that or anything, not sure. But uhh... if you do end up meeting her, do you think you could snag me an autograph?"

"Dewey's in town!?" Thespian asked, getting genuinely excited. She hadn't seen Drew in years.

"Goodness, imagine that. We're only home to hundreds of hungry teenagers."

"Well, yeah... the bosses don't really give me any budgets for supplying mutants with food," he said, letting out a small sigh.

"You should know by now that people will believe whatever they want to believe."

"Well, uh, yeah... as long as there isn't any problems, then the government won't have to do anything rash," he said.

"Dewey's in town!?"

The sudden surprise and excitement in Liana's voice surprised Michael. "Dewey? I don't know about that, but uh... Drew Bautista is said to be heading to Seattle, according to the latest issue of People Magazine, she was said to be heading to Seattle... and the issue before said she was looking at buying a house in Seattle... Maybe due to your recent involvement with Silvia Lyon and the new vacancy of her house, you could arrange some sort of meeting on it..." he suggested.

"And a possible autograph if possible," he added quickly.

[Ubermann]

"Yes, alright, Mr. Gregson. I will see if I can get her to sign an autograph for you. Do you want it made out to Michael or Mr. Gregson?"

Thespian paused a moment.

"And what the heck is a well informed government liaison such as yourself doing reading and quoting gossip out of People Magazine?"

[Smedwicks]

"Yes, alright, Mr. Gregson. I will see if I can get her to sign an autograph for you. Do you want it made out to Michael or Mr. Gregson?"

"Thanks Liana! Uh... and Michael is fine for the autograph," he said.

"And what the heck is a well informed government liaison such as yourself doing reading and quoting gossip out of People Magazine?"

"Well, uh... I was waiting in this really long line at the store, and I figured I would just... leaf through it a bit while I waited," he said nervously. The conversation stayed quiet for a bit.

"So yeah, great talking to you, I'll make sure the superiors know about all the good work. We'll have to get drinks some time, bye!" he said, disconnecting the connection. It was good to hear that Transcnedence was doing good. In the government's eyes, Transcendence was the most compliant mutant group that they associated with. He sighed, closing his eyes and rubbing his temples a bit, he only hoped that the government wouldn't request him to ask for them to bring students over for any type of testing.
