I saw a shipping container that said APL on the side, and it made me think of AplJuice.

Tamara Hartman was sitting in one of the common rooms in Transcendence Academy, reading one of the latest magazines that gossiped about different celebrities. She leafed through it, a bored expression on her face, as she looked up every so often to look at the people around.

'All these kids here are so pathetic... think they're strong or decent, they aren't. The only good mutants here are me and my sisters...' she thought, shaking her head with a slight smirk. She went back to her magazine as she watched kids of different ages and grades going through. As usual, most people generally avoided her, but she didn't mind. The fact that people stayed away from her meant that she was feared, and that was one thing she cherished.

A grin slowly formed on her face as she looked around, looking for a potential person to push around a bit.

Ash walked up to Tamara. At least she'd get a second opinion. Or third. Whatever.

"Hey, uhh, what do you think?", Ash said motioning down with her hands, "Naomi said most of it looked ok, but the jeans seemed a little off, like they were pre-faded or something, which... isn't quite right."

The thought occurred to Ash that Tamara might think she's asking about her dress sense, as opposed to her shapeshifting prowess, and she quickly made an addendum.

"I'm uhh practicing making clothes with my shapeshifting abilities. Turning into other animals usually doesn't help you stay uhh clothed. It's taking a lot of doing, but I think I've got the hang of it. Almost."

"Hey, uhh, what do you think?"

Tamara's grin turned into a frown as she heard someone speaking. To her. She looked up from her magazine, almost angrily, at the girl who was now in front of her, and speaking again.

"Naomi said most of it looked ok, but the jeans seemed a little off, like they were pre-faded or something, which... isn't quite right."

Tamara was about to speak, to rip into the girl's clothing options, but before she could even start, the girl once again spoke.

"I'm uhh practicing making clothes with my shapeshifting abilities. Turning into other animals usually doesn't help you stay uhh clothed. It's taking a lot of doing, but I think I've got the hang of it. Almost."

"First of all, it would be nice if you didn't come barging in to get my opinion. I mean, I know it's probably the best opinion at this school and all, but manners would be nice. Second of all, if you do want my opinion, the shapeshifiting is decent... though your fashion sense could be better," Tamara said rudely before glancing back down to her magazine.
