Transcendence Academy was built a year before the school was put to use, using a more modern design than the famous X-Mansion. The school itself is large, and (as shown) built on a cliff over the ocean around the island. Along with it's large exterior space, the Academy has an underground area, where most of the combat training and other things take place. This area is more secure than the visible portion of the academy.

The campus around the Academy itself is mostly pine woods, with a few steep rocks ledges leading into the ocean, and an uncomfortably rocky beach. There is also a dock, where a ferry sent to pick up and drop off students and staff will dock.

The campus also includes an area referred to as 'The Bunker'. Most trustworthy staff members are informed off it, but students are not. It's location is outwardly just a clearing in the woods. When activated, though, a large rock will open revealing passage to the Bunker itself. Inside it contains supplies one would expect in a well stocked fallout shelter. It is to be used in case the mansion and its Danger Room cannot be. Students only know of the location as a place to go if those two areas are inaccessible and have no idea about the actual bunker itself.
