The League of the Treaty

First: PIRILAO, feel free to form that nation. It already has an island on the
map.
But what do you mean with:
Flag: ours

Second:
QUOTE
Any Founding Nation can call a decision to Vote.

QUOTE
Only Founding Nations can vote on policy decisions.

QUOTE
A Unamious Vote is required for the decision to be made in favour (ie. If one person Votes "AGAINST", the motion is defeated).

QUOTE
To prevent TLTT being slow, and overrun by red tape, after a vote is called, all votes must be in by 3 days. If Founding Nation that does not vote within 3 days, it will be assumed that they abstain. If anyone abstains, it DOES NOT count as a vote AGAINST the decision (ie. The Vote is not affected. If there are 10 voters: 6 are FOR and 4 ABSTAIN, the motion is still carried).

Fine by me.

QUOTE
After a motion has been passed, ALL nations within TLTT will be expected to abide by them, punsihable by exclusion.

I think that would be kinda drastic and unfair, not to mention it will scare away members. Let's just say a member who didn't vote isn't oblige to actively support the idea, but can't go against it either.

QUOTE
After a non-founding nation has been within TLTT for quite a time, The Founding Nations can vote to let them vote on policy decisions. A 2/3 Majourity is needed.

QUOTE
If a non-founding nation gains a vote on policy decisions, he/she will have NO VETO, but the origional Founding Nations will.

Well... a member can become a founding nation after a period of time, I don't think this rule is really needed.

Third: we need to find one abrevation for The League of the Treaty. I myself have used LotT, Adaptus LT and TCN and PIRILAO TLTT.
Personaly I would go with LT.

Friends our nation is created.

THE 1º ISSUE

LT1 Decides:
Should Democracy be Compulsory?

The Issue
In response to a slow news week, certain highbrow newspapers have stirred up the debate over voluntary vs compulsory voting.

The Debate
"Compulsory voting makes about as much as sense as having the death penalty for attempted suicide," says civil rights activist Elizabeth Rubin. "You can't force people to be free! You can only give them the choice. Besides, if all those derelicts who can't be bothered to get off their ass once every few years voted, who would they elect? I shudder to think."
[Accept]

"It's not contradictory at all," argues political commentator Klaus Dodinas. "The fact is, if not everyone votes, the outcome isn't truly representative. Some groups--like elderly gun nuts--vote more often than others. That's why always we always end up with such terrible politicians."
[Accept]

"This raises an interesting issue," says Konrad Love, your brother. "And that is: why do we need elections, anyway? Seems to me it would be much simpler if you just decided what was right, and did it. Wouldn't that save everyone a lot of time?"
[Accept]

Please they say what we must make in relation to this.

MY VOTE GOES TO:
"Compulsory voting makes about as much as sense as having the death penalty for attempted suicide," says civil rights activist Elizabeth Rubin. "You can't force people to be free! You can only give them the choice. Besides, if all those derelicts who can't be bothered to get off their ass once every few years voted, who would they elect? I shudder to think."

TO:LT
FROM: PIRILAO

WE HAVE 2 MORE INSUES:

Military Demands Increased Spending

My vote goes to.

"These are turbulent times we live in," says Defense Chief Peggy Li. "Turbulent and dangerous. And the only sensible response to that, of course, is to build a lot more weapons. Unless we get the funding we need, I can't promise that we'll be able to defend LT1's sovereign borders from rogue nations and foreign powers. Or those leaky boatloads of refugees, for that matter."

Corporations Demand Political Say

My vote goes to.

"This is supposed to be a democratic country," Information Technology industry spokesperson Chastity Bush says. "Yet these archaic laws say I can't donate money to support a political party. They put ceilings on the amount any party can spend on advertising. It's time to stop treating voters like children, and trust them to make up their own minds. Free the ballot box!"

Wow, wow, I think we need to cut back on the issues. Let's say one per weekday?

Yea.. Guess we follow the majority, so we can push out legislations ordismiss them before issues exceed its max (suppose 4??).

-On issue "Military Demands Increased Spending", I agree with TCN and Pirilao.
-On issue "Corporations Demand Political Say", I go for "Money should have no place in politics!"

That means (SO FAR):

Ok , my friends good job.

ONE OTHER INSSUE:
Nazi Sympathizers Plan Rally

My vote goes to.

"It's exactly because we're civilized that we must let the demonstration proceed," says free speech campaigner May Jefferson. "We may not like what they have to say, but in this society, people have the right to argue whatever political view they want, no matter how hateful, selfish, or stupid it is."
