Why I Think There May Be......, A FAQ to the new section

Ok, so you're all still psyched about the movie, and now you see this new section for a POSSIBLE second series.....

Yea, I bet your confused.

First, no, I have nothing but suspicion for belief in this, so give your opinions, I'm only making guess work.

I have several reasons why I believe there will be a second series, and I will list then below for all of you to read.....

1. Our interview with Dai Sato

When we interviewed Dai, he said the banner we use (this banner I speak of was used a long time ago and featured the two characters seen on the last dvd jacket cover) was of Renton and Eureka's children. And when asked if Renton and Eureka's story had ended, he said no, going on to say that it still had many more adventures to come.


2. The response from Studio BONES

In our response from BONES, they said they "were considering a movie or continuation possibility." They mentioned they were considering BOTH, not just one. We now know they decided on a movie, however, what is to say they didn't decide to have both?

I personally think they decided to do both.

After seeing the movie, the ending is more open-ended then the tv series was. Its very apparent to me that they are going to continue the new movie with a new series, and possibly, connect the first series with the second series.

3. Dai Sato Begged Fans After The Show Ended

Within 2 weeks after the show had ended, Dai Sato was pleading publicly for fans to hound Studio BONES to continue the series because it wasn't over yet.

4. The movie's ending is super open ended

If you've watched the new movie, you know that its ending is more open ended then the tv series was.



Anyways, just putting out some ideas. I look forward to hearing from you any ideas or news you can offer.

I'm in full support of a contuation and a movie.

I think that Studio BONES should do a continuation on the orginal series and make the movie as well.

BUT, either way is fine by ME because I just wanted to know if there was a continuation or movie.

i think it may be possible that the movie will end rentons and eurekas story and begin the story about their childeren with a second series about the kids with renton eureka and other gekko state members as side characters

If you didnt know, the movie is a completely new re-telling of the original story. So, it starts out similar to episode 1 and gets a whole new story and the characters are different. So its like an alternate reality. No connection from what I understand to the original story.

Eurekasevenfan1, ofcourse I forgive you.

Oh, and since the fans had all demanded a continuation to see what happened after ep. 50, and now finding out were STILL not getting it. I Believe BONES has some possibilties they are considering.

I think another serial is unlikely at THIS point.
The best thing would be for Bandai/Bones to see how the E7 movie does in sales; and based on that feedback (and perhaps on the ending) they might decide to do a second series.

But anything is possible in the long run. This show came out in 2005, and looking at the track record of other good animes, some of them have had continuations.

Ghost In The Shell came out in the early 90s and two serials have been made as well as a new movie (GITS: Innocence). I just read that Detective Conan (Case Closed is the US name on Adult Swim) has a new movie coming out. That show is really old (early 80's I believe) and yet a new movie is being advertised in Japan.

However... I would expect new promotional material for the movie, perhaps a manga to cover the events in the movie, or spin off from the movie.

As long Eureka 7 is well loved, BONES will always look for new ways to milk their cash cow.

I cant wait for the continuation either, im drulling waiting for more information to be released for the movie to come out!! but the movie information released so far from what i have read says its going to involve renton and eureka and they are going to do a new "mythos" meaning legend or story. which this could be the new adventures dai soto was talking about for renton and eureka and the kids...? but it is said that its not going to be a recap like the rahX movie. so i guess we will have to wait and see when more info is released...

Im thinking that as long as BONES receives profit, they will keep Eureka Seven going. Thats what most likley happened before and might be why they are making a movie.

If this movie is a success and they recieve a great amount of profit as they did with the series, I don't see why they wouldn't make a continuation. Lets hope this movie turns out to be one of their best work yet.

In the interview section under the catagory E7 Forum Exclusives.

But in the interview, the way Dai Sato talked seemed to very well signify that he meant they had more adventures AFTER the original series.

And the movie is a re-do of the story, it starts at ep. 1 but creates an entirely new story.
