John is not one to spend too much time fussing over his appearance. With a quick comb of his hair, he is most likely to throw on whatever he can find that happens to be clean. Normally, his clean clothes take the form of dark jeans, plain colored shirts and his ever present black jacket.

+Bennett: Nothing makes John happier than being with his son, and when Bennett smiles it erases all the bad and hurt that John has suffered
+His Bike: Before marrying Riley, John’s Harley was his guilty pleasure. He loved going on drives all along the PCH, enjoying two of his loves (his bike and the ocean) and being completely content.
+Classic Rock: Whether it be Queen, The Who, Yes, Led Zepplin or AC/DC, John grew up listeing to it on the radio and it always makes him feel right at home.
+The Ocean: Growing up in San Diego, the ocean was never far away. He and his family spent plenty of time there together, but as an adult it was where he would go to escape and have time to himself.
+Food: While he stays in shape for work, John is known for his appetite. Riley may had been in chef of the house, but John could make a mean bbq.

John is an indimidating figure. Standing at 6'4" and what many consider a permanent scowl on his face, at first glance he doesn't appear to be friendly in the slightest. He is a tough individual, and doesn't take any crap from anyone, but once you've earned his trust John becomes a good friend and ally. And while he may not look carefree and friendly when around strangers or people in general, when he is in the company of friends, he is known to relax. But it's when he is with his son that he is truly content and happy.

Background
Hometown: San Diego, California
Brief History:
John Morgan Grimm was born the oldest child to Charles and Anna Grimm, and lived a decent life along the southern California coast. He spent his childhood playing in the waters of the Pacific ocean, surfing with his younger brothers and playing in the tide pools with his younger sister. Being the oldest of four, John was a natural leader and fit the bill of Older Brother to a "T". He always had both eyes open, was fiercely loyal, loving and protective of the Grimm brood, and anyone he came to know. Helping other was what he did best.

Born into a family of police officers, John knew he wanted to spend his life helping people, but decided to break away from tradition and joined the fire academy. He climbed the ranks and emerged one of the most highly trained firefighters in the San Diego area. It was after graduating the fire academy that he met his wife, Riley, after going with a few firefighters from his station to a local school for a fire safety presentation where she was a teacher. The two had an average courtship, with ups and downs and plenty of scares when John would be on shift doing what he did best: his job. Before teh virus had broken out, he and Riley wed in a small, simple ceremony and shortly thereafter, their son Bennett was born.

Then, the virus struck. John, who had been off shift, had been home watching Bennett while Riley went to visit an ailing relative when their area became overrun with zombies. Having been somewhat prepared while listening to all the news and updating reports, John got Bennett, packed his truck-including his bike-and headed out for safer ground. He had done his best to stay in contact with Riley, and both hearing about the Eternus compound, said that they would go there to meet back up. Only after so many days, John lost contact with Riley and when he and Bennett arrived at Eternus found that she wasn't there.

Now, John spends his time working at the compound, taking care of Bennett and praying that his wife will be reunited with him.
