Age and Location
Please remember that all new members start as first years, and therefore their date of birth will have to have been at least 11 years before the date they started Hogwarts; the current date can be found at the top of the page, and therefore all other dates can be worked out through that. All students must also be living in the UK during their time at Hogwarts; they may be born in different Countries, but must be living in the UK.
Blood
It should also be noted that Slytherin students should be Pure-Bloods, or any impurities in ancestors forgotten; like in the books, when we are shown that all ‘blood traitors’ of the Black house were disowned, those of impure blood within a Slytherins relatives should be forgotten and treated as though they weren’t family. You may choose to explain circumstances in your Ministry File, or be brief about it-- but unless you put down 'Pureblood' here, Slytherins, I'd explain.
While Slytherins are expected to have the purest of blood and most come from families high up in society, the other houses care much less for nonsense of this sort and the variety of families in regards to blood is quite scattered, and while it might be good to note that stereotypically Hufflepuffs are generally less pure than others, this is not definitely true.
It should also be noted that it’s more likely that Hogwarts hosts house to more Half-Bloods than it does Muggleborns and Purebloods—the obvious reason being that the term Half-Blood covers a wider range of ancestry; Muggleborns must have no wizarding family, and Purebloods no Muggle, whereas everyone in between would come under 'Half-Bloods'.
Hair and Eyes
Hair colours must be normal, natural colours and nothing too extraordinary. Hair may be dyed by a hairdresser, but still must remain a ‘normal’ colour. Acceptable colours would be blonde, brown, red, black, or any shade of these such as auburn or strawberry blonde. Variations (light, dark, pale) and natural highlights are also perfectly acceptable, as it would be if your character was to have dyed their hair dark brown from blonde. Any strange combinations of colours like black with red/green/blue streaks or bright green hair are unacceptable.
Eyes must be normal and may not change or vary with moods or anything of the sort. Acceptable colours would be blue, green, brown, hazel, or any combination such as ‘blue-green’ or ‘brown eyes with flecks of green’. Unacceptable colours would be violet/purple, red, silver, gold, and so on.
