There are no house points.
Everyone is sleeping in the Great Hall.
Houses are hardly recognized anymore because there are only fifty people are so. And everyone pretty much got over the whole house differences, anyway. Now there's unity, basically, because Voldemort's rising to power and they all have to fight.
At first, houses separated them, but now the colors have been banished from their minds.
There's no Quidditch cup.
Aurors surround the grounds and keep them safe.
Leaving the castle is restricted -- you must first be given permission to go and it must be for a very good reason.
The teachers are spending much more time teaching students how to defend themselves. Classes aren't regular; they still have them and such, but there are minimal amounts of essays and writing and such. Most time is devoted to teaching defensive spells. All the teachers pitch in, as there is no new DADA teacher at the moment.
It is highly advised that you walk through Hogwarts with one other person, at least. Yes, we're reverting to the traditional 'buddy system'.
