Last week we had our second evangelism study regarding the importance of God's law.
We learnt that the law refers to the Ten Commandments (Ex 20).
Remember, God's law simply tells us what is right and what is wrong (like a schoolmaster) but does not save!!!!
We are saved by the Grace of God through Faith and only through Jesus Christ.
It is important in presenting the Gospel b/c it gives us a definitive standard of what is right and wrong. Almost everyone when asked will say that they are a good person according to their standards. However, when judged by God's standards we all fall short - "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God".
Hence, the law will serve as a mirror to help all to recognise that we are all flawed and need to get right with God and in doing so, He promises us the gift of eternal life.
For believers, the law should serve as some kind of moral code by which we are to live lives which are pleasing to God.
If we honour God, He will definitely honour and reward us beyond our expectations.
So, God's law is important and we should all strive to know!!!
How can we obey the law if we don't know it ???
OK This week we are watching a video called 'Left Behind' - This video is a dramatisation of what will happen when Jesus comes for His people.
Pls aim to bring all your friends along - especially non-believers b/c we should all aim to seek and save the lost.
