Joseph has reported that the mission trip has been a successful one and it is with great sadness that they leave.
Thank God for their willingness to give of themselves in service for our Lord. Continue to Pray for Matt and Adeline as they continue on and also for Jo as he returns to Singapore en route to Taiwan. Pls read enclosed email from Joseph ........ Dear all Dearest greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! In another 2 day's time, Ebenezer BPC's 2nd Mission to Cambodia will come to a close. Thank God for His Guidence and Providence over the past 5 weeks. May all be edified from the reports of this trip and continue to serve Him faithfully wherever we may be. Thank God for bringing Bro Vana Rith safely back to Singapore yesterday. Please do continue to remember him in prayers as he embarks on the final year of his studies in FEBC and prays about his future service after graduation. Please also do remember Siem Reap BPC in your prayers. Bro Chanthon and Sis Siang Lai require all the help they can get. Sunday Worship start at 8am at the Church and there is an average attendence of around 30, mostly young adults. At 12 noon, Bro Chanthon will proceed to Angkor Chum, a village about 1.5 hours away via bike and minister to a flock of around 15. Sunday School starts at 5pm and is managed by Sis Siang Lai while the Church has another small worship service at Tonle Sap Lake at 5pm to 6pm. There is also another smaller Sunday School at a nearby village which starts at 6.30pm. In short, there are 3 main Worship services and 2 main Sunday School services. This is in addition to Sat Prayer Meetings (at 6pm) and daily Children's Bible Study and Youth English lessons and Bible Study in the evenings. Please do continue to remember Bro Chanthon, Sis Siang Lai, little Benedict and their unborn baby that God will continue to give them strength and wisdom to serve Him better. Perhaps if it's in His Plans, Bro Chanthon might be called to further his theological training to equip himself better. Vanilla and myself will return to Singapore as planned on 18th July. Matthew and Adeline will continue to stay in Siem Reap for an extra week to help Bro Chanthon out and also possibly spend a week in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville and return to Singapore on 1 Aug. However, their itinerary for the final week is yet to be confirmed. They would posssibly help Preacher Chang at Sihounkville with games at a Children's Camp. Please pray. May the Lord continue to keep and bless you all. Cheers Joseph |
