Of course, Parker wasn't insanely rich. Neither were his parents, but his extended family still gave him some cash in celebration for graduating, because they apparently remembered he was graduating, and yet his parents didn't. Still, that meant he could at least afford a hotel room which wasn't a part-time drug lord's apartment, and he'd still have money left over for drinking. And maybe gambling, though he wasn't all too lucky on the tables. So he'd happily just spend the night with Addi and drink, because that was what he was best at. Talking and drinking. Actually, he was best at climbing rope, because it was the only thing in gym class he was ever any good at. But he was pretty sure there were no casinos with assault courses in Las Vegas. Or was there? A bunch of drunken guys trying to stumble through an assault course could bring in some cash. Maybe even get a TV show. Although if he was going to drink as much as anybody else was tonight, Parker was pretty sure he'd not remember that thought if he ever wanted to open such a casino in the future. Eventually, they arrived at the hotel they'd booked a room at. Parker wasn't sure just what kind of hotel room it was, but if there was just the one big bed instead of two singles, he would've happily slept on the couch. But he wouldn't be opposed to Addi offering to sleep on the couch instead, of course. Speaking of Addi and sleeping, he looked to her as he pulled up and turned the car engine off, unsure of whether she was asleep or just looking out of the window, because she had her head turned away from him as they stopped. So he lovingly decided that if she was asleep, he wasn't going to just let her sit there peacefully whilst he went and checked them both in: instead he decided to poke his finger into her rib cage to see if she'd react or not. "Wake up. Or if you're already awake then don't go to sleep." Parker climbed out of the car and left Addi to do what she wanted as he then reached into the trunk and grabbed his bag which had very little in it. Mostly it was just spare clothes for the next day, and some clothes for him to change into if he ended up making a mess of his shirt or something by dropping ice cream on it. Although he wasn't sure where you got ice cream in Las Vegas unless you pigged out on room service, but there was no way that Parker could afford that as a college student. Or .. not a college student anymore. But he was still piss poor. |

Syn didn't mind learning. She just didn't want to learn crap. If it was something that she thought would be useful, she'd be stoked to learn. But no. She was forced to learn useless garbage that she'd never use again. The only point to grades 4 through 12 was to get you into college, where Addi was reminded once again, why she hates society. Granted, it was her own fault for studying sociology, but it was a flexible degree. You could go basically anywhere with a degree in the social sciences. School had technically finished a couple months ago, but Parker and her were only just getting around to having their celebration. Summers were busy for them. Jack Sparrow and Belle were needed at DisneyLand. Obviously they weren't the only ones to play those characters, but it's not like they had character actors coming out the ying-yang! In the summer, Disney got especially busy, due to everyone being out of school, and that gave Parker and Syn extra hours. And seeing as they were both drowning in student loans, they took those hours. They had to drive out of town to get to Disney anyways, so the extra hours helped pay for gas, plus ensured they worked more similar hours, so they could carpool. Besides, Parker needed her to help him with his eyeliner. Most of the public schools in California were starting up again around now, so the park was slowing back down, allowing them both to finally get the same days off, to have a little trip. And what better trip than driving to Las Vegas? Syn had went once as a teenager, but it basically sucked. Sure, she had a fake ID, but in Vegas, they were expecting them, and checked the IDs even harder. Being unable to get into any clubs, bars, or casinos, made for a rather boring trip. They were twenty-two, though. They could use their real IDs and ensure they get in. Vegas was a playground now, rather than an unattainable attraction. It was only a five hour drive, but as soon as Syn was in a car, she was always asleep. People seemed to either love the movement and sleep better, or refuse to sleep at all while in a car. Her parents used to even drive her around the block a few times as a baby/toddler, if she was resisting sleeping and getting especially cranky over the fact she was tired but didn't want to sleep. Worked like a charm. The finger in her ribs didn't help much though. Groaning and trying to move closer to the door to get away from Parker, she heard the door open and shut, as she slowly blinked, cringing at the sunlight. Parker ruined her nap. He should have kept driving until she woke up naturally, and then go to the hotel. Yawning, Addi slowly sat up, stretching, relieved that she didn't feel any kinks or sore muscles. That was the risk you always took when sleeping in the car. She could see Parker through the glass doors, checking in, and seeing as she had his bag with him, he clearly wasn't coming back to the car. She apparently had to be the one to go to him. Climbing out of the car, Syn grabbed her bag and followed Parker into the hotel. There was a short line to check in, and Addi stopped once she was next to him, frowning down at his bag. "What did you pack? A toothbrush?" Her own bag was significantly larger than his, but she didn't think she had packed heavy. Addisyn simply packed choices. She wasn't sure where they were going that night. Casual, semi-casual, or classy? Addi packed an outfit for each possibility. She packed pajamas for the night, since they were sharing a room, and she usually just slept in underwear. And seeing as her pajamas would likely be puked on that night, while attempting to sleep off the alcohol, she had comfy hangover clothes to change into the next day, as well as a better outfit, in case they were to actually be seen by people while hungover. Plus there was her hair supplies and makeup. "So, when did you want to go out?" Addi asked, as the line got shorter, leaving them up next. Vegas- the part they were staying in, at least- was basically a 24/7 party. It was late afternoon, and while people wouldn't be out clubbing quite yet in Violet Hill, she felt as if it was acceptable in Vegas. Similarly, while most clubs closed around 2 or 3 am in Violet Hill, Vegas had endless possibilities. |

Parker looked across to her as she asked when he wanted to head out, but he honestly didn't care. Any time she wanted to go out was fine by him, because no matter what time they left, they probably wouldn't be back until the late hours of the night anyway. Or the early hours of the morning. It really depended mostly on how drunk they got and how quickly they got drunk. "Whenever you're ready. If I decide to stereotype you as a typical girl again, I figure you won't be ready for a few hours yet, right?" Parker smiled, knowing that he was more or less ready to head out. Sure, he could change his shirt, but that was all he really needed to do. He didn't intend to spend the next hour planing his outfit and then another hour doing his hair and then making sure everything was ready before he finally left. He didn't even plan on shaving for tonight either. He pretty much needed to look rough for his job. Having facial hair was his job. Jack Sparrow had a beard, and so Parker needed one too. He'd tried wearing a fake one, but it started to itch his face eventually. "But anyway. Like I said, whenever you're ready's fine by me." Parker kicked his bag a little further forward again as he shuffled closer to the receptionist, and after a short conversation he had a key for their hotel room and he started to walk off toward the elevator, assuming that Addisyn was somewhere nearby as well. He pushed the button to the elevator, and turned around to look at Addi as he waited for it to arrive. "Unless you suddenly decide you don't want to go out anymore. In which case you're totally paying me back for the gas I used getting over here because this'll have been a wasted trip. Because you didn't even talk much in the car either because you're a lazy ass." "Anyway." Parker stepped into the elevator after he smiled at Addi and as he stood there he realised he should've probably pushed one of the buttons. Then he realised he should've probably known what room they were actually in. Looking at the magnetic swipe card .. thingy, he read the room number and then pushed the button for the third floor. They probably could've walked up the stairs in the time they were waiting downstairs for it, really, but Parker didn't care. He didn't care at all, because he was lazy. He spent his working life on his feet constantly, walking around having his photo taken with complete strangers. Most of the time it was kids but then during spring break you'd get a ton of college kids deciding they wanted to go to Disney and see Jack Sparrow. College girls weren't exactly as interested in Belle as they were in the hot pirate, he'd imagine. So it was just fortunate that he wasn't a Disney princess, really. The elevator stopped, Parker got out and the door to their room wasn't even that far. He opened the door for the two of them, dropping his bag against the door to hold it open for Addi as he walked inside, in a kind of semi-chivalrous manner of helping her, but not bothering to put much effort in. "I hate the smell of hotel rooms." |

Besides, she had to look good when going out tonight, because she was a struggling ex-college student working at DisneyLand. Parker was still paying more for their little celebration, since he drove and paid for gas, but Addi at least chipped in for the room. It was her celebration too, so it only made sense. But between rent, and her various bills, and the part of the hotel room, plus whatever other random crap she spent her money on, her allowance for alcohol wasn't as big as she'd like it to be. It would be fine if she just had a night off and was out with some friends, but she was in Vegas with Parker for a celebration! She wanted to get wasted. Not tipsy. Syn had to look really good that night, so guys would buy her drinks. She had no intention of sleeping with any of them, seeing as she was there with Parker, but if she got free drinks out of them, she'd show a bit of cleavage and leg. Addi just had to hope they didn't get pissed off that she was using them for drinks and tried to rape her to get their sex regardless. She'd just have to stick close enough to Parker to still be at a club with him, but not close enough for other guys to know she was there with him. She needed his protection! Syn would just have to give him some of her free drinks as payment... not that he should need payment to save her from rape, but she was feeling generous. That was the sober plan. Addisyn wasn't even sure why she made sober plans anymore, before going out drinking. Drunk-Addi always seemed to think sober-Addi had stupid ideas, and then changed them. "I'll take an hour, tops," Addi said, shooting down his second sexist assumption. She didn't understand how girls could take hours getting ready. Is it even possible? It only takes so long to put on makeup. The only way Syn could believe it would take a significant amount of time to put on, would be if they put it all on, didn't like, and took it all off again, therefore needing to reapply everything. Even when taking her time, Addi was done in record time compared to some of her friends. Besides, going to a club was more about the outfit than the hair and makeup. It's dark, plus all the guys are drunk. They're not going to notice how many layers of mascara you're wearing. They'll see boobs, legs, and ass. Please them with those three, and you've captivated the heart (and dick) of any drunk man. Their conversation paused, as Parker checked them in and got the key, and Addi followed him towards the elevator once they were done. "Not go out?" she repeated, laughing slightly. "We just drove five hours to Vegas. Why wouldn't I want to go out? Even in Violet Hill, I wouldn't turn down a night out!" Obviously Parker didn't actually think she was going to ask him to take her back home, but the mere thought of someone doing something so stupid astounded her. And then he called her a lazy ass. How dare he. He was lucky he was her bestest friend, or else insults like that wouldn't go unnoticed. Turning slightly, Syn pointed to her ass and said with a laugh, "If a lazy ass looks this good, can you imagine how killer it would be if I was some sort of fitness buff?" And finally, the room. Seeing as they were only there for a night or two (depending on how hungover they'd be in the morning) the room was nothing special. They didn't even bother springing the money for two rooms, or a large room with two beds. Addi didn't think it was weird, but she remembered in high school, when she spent the night at his house (totally innocently, obviously), some of her friends just thought it was weird. It was as if they were stuck in their preteen years, as they started going on about how their parents would never let them have a sleepover with a guy. But Syn's parents didn't care and neither did Parker's. They were barely walking when they became best friends. One of the perks of living on a kid-friendly street was that you didn't have to wait until you started school in order to make friends. They had plenty of sleepovers growing up. Just because they were in their twenties now didn't mean it was suddenly going to be taboo. "Which side do you want?" Addi asked, walking over to the bed, raising her bag to dump on whichever side was deemed his. She wanted her side to remain clean and untouched until she went to bed. It would be comfier that way. Despite the fact it was yet another thing that drunk-Addi didn't care about. |

"I'll hold you to that promise. And I'll be timing you. And if you take more than an hour I'll drag you out of here no matter what state you're in; even if you're still in a towel and you only put lipstick halfway on your lips." He probably wouldn't. Mostly because he'd probably be embarrassed just being with her and she could just take it in her stride. Of course, most people would probably see her and think she was there for comedic purposes, just like the billion other impersonators and artists on the Las Vegas strip. She was just some crazy shower girl. And the "crazy" was added because she'd probably be kicking and screaming as Parker dragged her out of the hotel in her towel. Parker was going to go out regardless of what Addi wanted to do. He needed a drink. He never really thought of himself as much of a drinker, but he did pretty much drink til he collapsed when he had the chance. But not when he had to pay for the beer. If he could get free drinks then he'd collapse pretty quickly, but when he was in an expensive bar like the ones surrounding him in Vegas, he would probably be as sober as he was now because he'd be drinking water from the faucet for the entire evening. He wasn't the richest guy you'd ever meet. And he probably never would be. But it wasn't all about money. Life was mostly about paying back debts, really. So you never had money long enough to spend it on anything. Especially when you were just out of college with an insanely crappy job to boot. Parker looked toward Addi's ass as she decidedly pointed to her rear end and he laughed along with her. Because although he hadn't admitted it to anyone - and had only recently really admit it to himself - he did agree that she did have a nice ass. And he hated himself for thinking it, because Addi was his best friend. Not that there was anything wrong with one best friend liking another, but it was just the whole deal of going from best friends to more to less to hating each other that he didn't want for them. But he had caught himself watching her ass on more than a few occasions over the past few weeks. So he could've easily been looking at her in that way for months or even years before that, but he'd just never noticed it before. "It might almost be as killer as mine." He turned around to point his own ass in her direction, trying to take his mind off of her ass. But by thinking about how he could distract his thoughts from her ass he started thinking about her ass which made him try and think of something to try and stop thinking about her ass but it was a huge vicious Addi-ass cycle he had going on. Glancing at the one bed they had in the room, Parker knew that Addi wasn't fussed about having to share the bed together. It just didn't seem odd to her, apparently. But when he was thinking about her ass so much in the middle of a conversation with her, Parker didn't trust himself to be in the same bed as her, really. But he wasn't going to kick up much of a fuss. He just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Whichever." But then he promptly sat down on the left hand side of the bed anyway, so he'd more or less picked which side of the bed was his right there. "It doesn't really matter, does it?" Parker decidedly collapsed, leaning back and falling so that he was covering most of the bed anyway, with a grin on his face, because now he'd claimed the entirely bed for himself. |

That being said, he could time her all he wanted, since she would be less than an hour. She had always been quick in the shower. How the hell did people spend over 30 minutes in the shower!? Addi gets bored after 15. She washes her hair, body, and face, then rinses all the suds off and conditions her hair. Once that's washed out, she's done. Syn wasn't just going to stand there and do nothing. Addi was never one to fiddle much with her hair either. She didn't straighten or curl it each day, so there was only so much she could do with it, seeing as she preferred to leave it down. She'd blowdry her hair, brush it, and as long as she didn't have any crazy flyaways or random unwanted kinks in her hair, she'd simply put a bit of hairspray on, and move on to her makeup. Out of her whole routine, the most time was spent on her makeup. If she was going out, Syn would put on some foundations, then powder, to keep her skin even, and then move on to her eyes. A smokey eye with her eyeshadow, along with some eyeliner and mascara. Syn would finish off the look with some lipstick. It really didn't take her too long. She didn't reapply it and reapply it and continually fuss over it like most girls. Who cares if she didn't quite look perfect? Through hazy eyes in a dimly lit club, she would. Addisyn cocked her head to the side slightly, when Parker's pointed to his own ass, and after a few second, shook her head. "Naw, yours is pretty good, but mine is still better." It was things like this that probably made everyone assume they were going to end up together, which was the exact reason Addi decided to completely ignore any potential feelings she had for him. Best friends getting together was so cliche. It was almost as if it was expected of them to start dating. But since she had successfully repressed any non-platonic feelings for Parker for however long it had been, sharing a bed was no problem. They had done it countless times throughout their lives, so really, it was nothing new. Parker fell all over the bed, and Addi sighed, dropping her bag on a non-Parker section of the bed. She was one of those weird people who liked to make their bed each morning, and if she forgot, she'd make it before going to bed. There was just something about crawling into a bed that had been made that she just loved. Syn hated trying to fall asleep with a mess of blankets around her. Granted, drunk-Addisyn probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference whenever they climbed in to go to sleep. "Shotty the shower," Addi said, opening her bag and pulling out her towel, along with a few bottles. Since she'd take longer, it only made sense that she started first. And, as always, she was walking out of the bathroom fifteen minutes later, wrapped in a towel. She had to dry her hair and put on her makeup before getting dressed. Her wet hair would make the back of her outfit wet, and she had dropped makeup onto an outfit more than once. Since then, that was all taken care of before she put on her clothes. "Shower's yours," she said, digging through her bag, finally pulling out her hair brush and hair dryer. Most hotels came with one, but the air was always cool and weak. She preferred her own hair dryer. Plugging it into the wall, she sat on the edge of the bed and turned it on, pointing it at her hair as she started brushing it. |

Parker wasn’t usually thinking so much about Addi this way though. Maybe it was the fact they were alone in a strange city, sharing a hotel room that kind of changed his perspective of everything. Or maybe he was just a little tired from the ride over from Cali and he was still recuperating from it. Kind of like.. carjetlag? No such thing existed but Parker was looking for some kind of excuse that he could blame his thoughts on so that he couldn’t be held responsible for what he was thinking. Although he probably had thought about it before when he was younger and his twenty-something mind was now able to block out all of those awkward thoughts. But now they were apparently back in full force and Parker seemed to sit up on the bed, staring at his feet with the blank, expressionless face he only had whenever he seemed to have something on his mind, and that was apparently Addi. But no, he couldn’t think about her like that. He decided to just get up off of the bed and try and forget. Even if trying to forget only reminded him more, he just tried looking around the room and staring at anything of any mild interest whatsoever. Anything that didn’t bore his ass off, but unfortunately in a hotel room there wasn’t very much to occupy yourself with, so he switched on the TV, with the only channel that actually worked being the welcome screen which told him how he could purchase movies. Thrilling. But it was the closest thing he had to escape his thoughts, so he stared at the television screen as Addison apparently called the first turn in the shower. Parker turned to watch Addison as she disappeared into the bathroom and he sighed, walking back to the bed and falling back onto it again. At least drinking could help him forget. And by the end of the weekend he’d probably be free to do as he liked anyway. His mind would be blank and he’d probably forget all about this and he’d go back to his girlfriend and be happy. Oh, yeah. He has a girlfriend. That’s one of the reasons why all these thoughts about Addi were so bad. His girlfriend could overreact at the smallest of things sometimes. She didn’t like him so much as looking at other girls and she could only just bare the fact that his best friend happened to be female. The only reason she wasn’t here was because her family had invited her back to her hometown to celebrate her graduation. Of course, he’d promised her that he and Addi would be in separate rooms, but like hell they could afford it. They could barely afford to share a room. She was out only a short time later, and Parker urged himself not to look. He heard her walk out, but he knew looking was only going to be bad news for him because he’d simply have that image in his mind for the night until he had enough drink in him to block it out. He glanced up at the mirror he was stood in front of, however, and saw Addi stood there in her towel, shutting his eyes promptly and mentally cussing at himself. “K, I’ll .. I’ll be out in a few minutes.” He tried walking with his eyes shut until he was at least out of Addi’s site, and opened one eye just so he could find the door to the bathroom without walking into the wall. Ten minutes later, Parker was free from the shower and sighed at his own stupidity as he looked around the bathroom, realising there were no towels. Or there was one, but .. it did have a pretty odd brown stain on it that Parker would rather not chance. So his only option was to open the door and lean out of the bathroom, trying to make himself seen but keep his lower half hidden inside. They were best friends, but that didn’t mean he wanted Addi looking at his junk. “Addi, I need a towel.” |

What was a good idea to do in Vegas, however, was getting completely trashed. That was something they could both agree on. They both had the typical college experience, with beer pong and frat parties, but when you had an essay to write after the party, since you totally put it off until the last twelve hours, you could only get so drunk. Addi was basically an expert at sobering up quickly, due to that fact. She wrote far too many half-drunk essays. But even still, she had successfully graduated with a useless degree that she cared nothing about. Parker disappeared into the bathroom, as Syn continued to blowdry her hair. Having thick hair really was bittersweet. It never laid on her shoulders, limp and lifeless, but it took forever to blowdry. When she took everything into account, blowdrying her hair probably took longer than her actual shower. Parker- and most other guys, for that matter- had it so easy. All they had to do was leave their hair alone for five minutes, and it was dry. Meanwhile, Addisyn was still working on drying her hair, when she heard Parker turn off the shower. She had turned off the hairdryer, momentarily, to give a thorough brushing, which was when she heard the shower turn off and the bathroom door open. Syn flicked the hairdryer back on, but glanced over towards the bathroom a second later. She had heard the door open, however Parker hadn't come over. Despite not really being able to hear anything over the noise of the hair dryer, she'd at least be able to sense Parker walking by. Seeing as he hadn't she glance over, noticing him peaking out of the bathroom, which was when she turned the hair dryer back off to hear what he was saying. A towel? Ahahaha. Parker was totally naked. If Addisyn wasn't eager to get ready and leave, she'd make him sweat it out. She'd leave him there to devise a new plan. It would be fun, and give her the satisfaction in knowing that his girlfriend wouldn't approve. She never liked her, and vice versa. But that being said, Addi was looking forward to going out, and wasn't about to postpone that for a little bit of fun. She wasn't ready for her outfit though. Her hair was nearly dry, but she still had to put on her makeup, which she refused to do while dressed. Seeing as the hotel provided towels, neither of them brought their own, and Syn definitely wasn't waiting for the front desk to send up another one. Thinking for a second, Addisyn finally set down the hair dryer, and reached into her bag again. "Just a sec, then," she said, pulling her underwear on, underneath the towel. The towel was big enough, and she was thin enough, to be able to do so without it being overly awkward. With her back facing Parker, she dropped the towel, quickly putting on her bra, before turning back towards him. He'd seen her in a swimming suit dozens of times in the past. Panties and a bra was no different. Syn tossed the towel towards the bathroom door, before picking up her hairbrush and running it through her hair a few times. It was dry enough for now. By the time she was completely ready, it would have finished air-drying, and she could put any finishing touches on her hair then. Grabbing her makeup bag from her suitcase, Addi crossed the room to the mirror on the wall. OOC: Kinda crappy >.> |

And maybe it would’ve been better if Parker’s girlfriend had come along with them. Because she really wouldn’t have approved of Addi’s actions just now, so at least Parker would be deterred from looking. But with no one to tell him not to look, he seemed to just watch Addi as she pulled on her underwear and then dropped her towel. Parker didn’t want to look. But he still did. Why? Because he was a man; therefore if there was a girl standing only a few feet away from him, bra-less, he was going to look. If he didn’t look then he’d deserve to have a boyfriend, not a girlfriend. His eyes looked up to hers as she turned around and he only hoped she didn’t notice him looking like that. His girlfriend was probably up talking to her parents right now and some kind of silent alarm would be going off in her head telling her something was happening and she really wouldn’t have liked it. Parker reached out for the towel as Addisyn threw it to him, but distracted in his thoughts he dropped it anyway and sighed. He’d never been much good catching when he played baseball or football, and apparently the same dynamics applied in real-world scenarios. So that was what doing gym class was good for in real life; catching towel when you were ass-naked in a hotel room with a girl you really didn’t want to show your ass off to. Parker leaned out of the bathroom, holding the door handle so he didn’t fall straight out or stray too far away from the bathroom to be standing in his birthday suit right in front of Addi, and he managed to grab the towel swiftly before returning to the solitude of the bathroom, not before thanking Addisyn. “Tee-why.” Yes, he used the letters TY to thank her; in a kind of ironic way, really. Because he spoke in full sentences online, yet he used chat-speak in real life. Or “irl” if you’d prefer. Wrapping the towel around his waist, though disliking the fact that it was already wet, Parker walked out from the bathroom and left the large bathroom mirror steamed up after he’d started writing on it out of boredom, mostly drawing only lines until writing “Addi is a fail” in big letters which would disappear pretty soon, but it was still fun to mock her even when she wasn’t paying attention anyway. “I hate wet towels.” He mumbled to himself, but made himself audible enough for Addisyn to hear as he walked by her and he looked at the window. “There’s a guy watching you outside.” Of course, there was no one. But that was Parker’s sense of humour: kind of crappy. He didn’t have a sense of humour everybody could appreciate; it was more like a kind of abusive sense of humour where he liked to either piss people off or just play jokes on them. Although most of the time these days, Addi wouldn’t fall for anything and she’d just turn it back on Parker. He wouldn’t be expected if she was thinking of saying “No, I think he’s watching you”. Addi and Parker were the type who’d sit down in the middle of the park, pointing out the fattest or the oldest or the down-right ugliest person they saw and saying “that’s your boy/girlfriend.” Parker didn’t really have any way of drying his hair. He really just had to leave it because he wasn’t quite sure whether Addisyn showed any more interest in the hair dryer, so for not he was at least just going to sit there, before realising he had his own towel in his bag. What was easier than just using a towel? Nothing. Well, the hair dryer was, actually, but he was already sat down on the bed – creating a pretty big wet patch where his ass was – and he didn’t want to have to get up again. So Parker just grabbed his towel, rubbing it over his head and then sighing as he sat with his hands on his head, speaking up to Addisyn. “Do we even know where we’re going?” |

Everything was better because she wasn't there. They were saving money, by being able to get away with one room, plus Addi wouldn't be tossed out of whatever club they end up for, for punching Nadya's face in, in a drunken rage. Parker was her best friend. She shouldn't have to share him with some bitch who didn't want to share him. And if Nadya was here right now, they wouldn't be in this exact situation. Addi wouldn't be in her underwear, while Parker was naked and in need of a towel. Syn wouldn't be in the room right now if Nadya was there. Personally though, she didn't see the big deal at all. Everyone always seemed to make a big deal out of it. How hard was it to be friends with someone of the opposite sex without having sex? It's not as if they only just became friends and people had reasons to be suspicious. They'd been best friends for the majority of their lives. People should stop assuming. "En-pee," Addi responded, in response to his TY. You can't answer with a "you're welcome" or "any time" after someone says TY. You can only say NP. It was basically a rule, and every time someone broke that rule, you could hear the fabric of space and time ripping, if you listen hard enough. A moment later, Parker left the bathroom, clad in a towel, complaining about it, and stating there was a man watching her. "We're on the third floor," Addisyn reminded Parker, amused. "If someone's watching me, he's flying. And if he's flying and has superpowers, let him watch." Besides, there were more important things at hand than Superman potentially checking her out. The wet towel, foremost. "How can you hate wet towels?" Addi asked with a slight frown. "I love them." But not when she was using said towel for the ordinary usage. "Put on your boxers," she demanded, sponging on the liquid foundation in to her face. "I'll show you why." Parker pulled them on underneath the towel, much like how Addi had pulled on her own underwear while in a towel, and as soon as he was done, she double-checked her foundation, and set the sponge down. Turning towards Parker, she reached over and snatched the towel away from him, holding it by opposite corners and winding it up, with a grin. At that point, she couldn't take her time. It was quite clear what she was doing, so naturally, Parker would be preparing to avoid it. She couldn't take that chance. As soon as the towel was wound up tight, she flicked it in his direction, hearing it make contact. It sounded painful, but Addi couldn't help but laugh. It was fun. But now she was on edge, since she had to keep the towel safe, or else it would be grabbed back and she'd be whipped. Addi went back over to her little makeup corner, and dumped the towel into one of the drawers in the unit that her makeup was on top of. Since she was standing right there, he couldn't get it. Well, unless he tackled her and dragged her away. Picking up her powder, she quickly patted some onto her face, watching Parker in the mirror. "I dunno," she answered, shrugging. "It's Vegas. There's places everywhere. We can just go outside and follow the noise." |

It only took a few seconds, but it felt like minutes passed as he pulled on his boxers, and eventually he unwrapped the towel from around his waist and threw it at Addi. Not to her. At her. It wasn’t as if it was going to kill her. Unless she stumbled back, fell out of the window, tumbled three floors onto a car and it drove off with her on the roof and flew off of a cliff. It would’ve been a spectacularly impossible case for Horatio Caine. Or ... whatever the name of the guy is in the Vegas version of CSI. Not Grissom. The new guy whose name Parker just didn’t know; although it would’ve been kind of epic to have the CSI TV show suddenly become part of his life. Although he’d be pretty sad that Addi was dead, he guessed. The towel came in contact with his ass and Parker tried jumping away, but he was way too late for that. “Fucking bitch.” Of course, he said it with love. He’d never call her a bitch and genuinely mean it in a bad way. But he just hated her sometimes and he had to express his hate by swearing at her, otherwise his rage would build up inside him and one day he might just punch her right in the face for being so annoying. It was like having a twin to Parker, because he knew he would have probably done the same thing, had he thought of it first. And he would have; he wouldn’t have hesitated at all, or just thought ‘oh, maybe I shouldn’t’ – he would have just wrapped it up and flicked it at her ass. But she beat him to the punch, it seemed, and now his ass was stinging still. “If I was less lazy I’d get you back.” Parker continued to sit on the bed instead though, sighing as he sat in his boxers – which for some reason had cartoon hot dogs on – and he looked over to Addi as she carried on putting make up on. This could take a while. Depending on how much make up she was planning on putting on. But as for Parker? Well, he stood up, grabbed a shirt from his bag, a pair of jeans, a pair of socks and threw them all on within a matter of seconds and he was done. “Maybe you should have waited another twenty minutes before giving me that towel. Then you’d have had time to put half of your make up on.” Parker smiled as he fastened his belt around his waist and looked over to Addi again in the mirror. It wasn’t that he was mean or anything; he was just Parker. And Addi was just Addi. And she was pretty similar to Nadya, really, and maybe that’s why Parker liked spending time with the both of them. They didn’t seem to take anybody else’s shit. Parker stood up from the bed and walked over to the window, looking at the darkening sky and then realising that it wasn’t really darkening at all. With the sheer amount of lights in Las Vegas, it didn’t look very dark at all, despite the sun disappearing on the horizon. Vegas lit up at night and Parker wondered what it would be like during a power cut. Terrifying, no doubt. Maybe people would actually sleep around here for a change, seeing as their curtains would actually be able to block out the little light from the moon instead of the million watts from what was probably hundreds of millions of bulbs out in Vegas. “Well we can’t just go downstairs and stay in the hotel bar for the night. Or maybe we can. It’d be a lot easier, and if you’re wearing heels then I wouldn’t have as far to carry you when you complain your feet hurt.” |

Besides, she was a bit of a bitch. Luckily she was best friends with Parker before she had become one. Now, he was stuck with her! It's just like how people let themselves go after getting married. As soon as they had someone hooked, they didn't have to be on their best behaviour. Addi wouldn't pretend to not be a bitch, just for someone to like her, but it was still a relief that Parker didn't care. She was quite relieved that Parker didn't jump into action and plan his revenge. Granted, the night was still young. He still had plenty of chances to hurt her. Addi had always had a fairly high tolerance for pain, so she'd be able to deal with it, but it would still suck. No one likes getting hurt. Plus, she didn't want a red welt somewhere. Who knows how long it would stay there. So not attractive. Snapping the powder container shut again, she frowned over at him. "I don't take that long!" she exclaimed, digging through her makeup bag for a moment, pulling out her eyeshadow quad, mascara, and eyeliner. "If Nadya was here," Addi said, putting on a mocking voice for her name. "I'm sure we'd be waiting even longer. Just be glad I'm quick! Gimme a minute." And by a minute, Addi meant ten minutes. But she was still faster than many girls she knew. Either way, Addisyn was still within her hour. She put all her makeup back into the small bag, and put that back into her suitcase. Grabbing her hairbrush, she ran it through her hair for a moment, before fluffing it with her fingers. Syn turned her head slightly, getting a look at it in the mirror from all angles, before grabbing her hairspray and spraying some around her head. They'd be ready to leave soon, and Addi was stoked. You could only party so hard in Violet Hill. Vegas was the best place to let loose. She looked in her suitcase for a moment, trying to decide which outfit to wear, and finally pulled out a short, lowcut, black dress. You could never go wrong with a little black dress, no matter what club they were to end up at. Addi pulled it over her head, careful not to completely screw up her hair, and she smoothed the dress down the rest of her body, before reaching up it and pulling down her panties, tossing them back into her bag. She couldn't wear those underwear to go clubbing. Panty-lines much? That being said, she wasn't about to walk around the hotel room with Parker in his boxers and her in a thong. Pulling a black thong out of her suitcase, she slid those up her legs, adjusting herself slightly, before grabbing her purse, and putting a few things from her suitcase into it. "We're not staying in the hotel bar," Addi said, finally going back to the topic that was at hand when she was trying to get ready. "That's lame. But don't worry about my feet," Syn motioned to her bag. "I packed a pair of flats for when I'm too drunk to walk in heels." Sitting down on the edge of the bed, Addi pulled on her heels, and laughed. "Granted, I may be too drunk to walk, period, so you may have to carry me anyways." Standing up, Addi grabbed her bag, and said, "Ready to go?" The Next Morning Slowly opening her eyes, Addisyn blinked, fighting off her headache. God, why did she drink so much? She couldn't even remember the night before. And she certainly didn't remember that ceiling. "Parker?" She asked, closing her eyes again. "Is it just me, or does the ceiling look different?" |

Even just talking made his eyes hurt. Somehow. He didn’t know how his eyes could be connected to his ears, but it was the human body; it was fucked up, and Parker had played his part to destroy a good percentage of his liver last night. He certainly wasn’t going to miss this in twenty years time. The partying, maybe, but definitely not the aftermath of it all. He hugged the bed covers tightly, keeping his eyes shut just as tight as he laid next to Addi, thinking nothing of it. Of course, from an outsider’s perspective, him and her in bed together would’ve been positively scandalous, but they’d even agreed on the sleeping arrangements days before arrival. “Unless we’re outside or sleeping in a bus shelter or this bed sheet I’m clinging to for dear life is a racoon or a skunk or any real variety of small mammal that could scratch my eyes out given a split second to do so, I don’t want to hear about what might be going on outside of my dreams. I’m going back to sleep.” Well, he wanted to go back to sleep. In actuality, his head was started to ache heavily and he was feeling very, very sluggish. And to top it all off, he needed to pee. So he kept his eyes shut, moaning as he stretched his arms above his head and then let them flop down onto the pillow his head was resting on. “Except I don’t want to pee the bed either. So make sure that racoon doesn’t follow me in there or whatever because I need my wang so I can pee. Otherwise I’ll be all filled up with pee and.. and whatever. Finish off that sentence for me and I’ll go do the thing with the toilet there.” Parker couldn’t even finish off his own insane stories. He managed to sit up in bed, and tiredly groaned as he scratched the back of his neck. He was just generally felt.. horrible. He couldn’t remember much from last night other than bright lights, loud music and a lot (a lot) of drinks. After a few very long minutes, Parker was finally up. He hadn’t opened his eyes the entire time and he didn’t intend to, either. He just put a hand out by his side to feel his way past the bed and began to walk, very slowly, in the direction of the bathroom. Eventually, after his prolonged zombie-like shuffle to the bathroom, Parker finally found the handle to the door. He pulled down on it and walked in, and thankfully the bathroom was a lot darker than it probably was outside, so he finally opened his eyes, only to find that one of them had apparently left the light on from last night. “Jesus fuck!” He shut his eyes promptly and then sat down on the edge of the tub, holding his hands over his eyes as they stung from the bright light. Throwing his arm out to the side, Parker managed to hit the switch and the lights dimmed, leaving a little lighting from the gaps around the edge of the door, and he opened his eyes slowly this time, finally seeing a shadowed bathroom as he lifted the lid of the seat and stood up, before turning around, squinting at the tub he’d just been sat on. “Addi, when did the shower turn into a bathtub?” |

As Parker struggled to climb out of bed, Addi slowly started the blink, letting her eyes adjust to the sunlight. By the time he was up and trying to find his way to the bathroom, Addisyn was able to keep her eyes open, despite the number it was doing on her head. Pulling herself to a sitting position, the first thing Addi noticed was that she was still in her dress from the previous night. So much for packing pajamas. It was a short dress though, and from rolling around in her sleep, it seemed to have bunched itself up at her waist. And that was what made her notice that her thong was gone. As much as she wanted to stay on that subject and try to figure it out, once Addisyn was sitting up, she was able to take in the room, hearing Parker announce they now had a bathtub. It definitely wasn't the same room as they had gotten ready in the previous night. A quick glance around ensured that their bags were still there, at least, and there were no one else's belongings. At least they didn't crash someone's room. It did seem to be their room, however why it was their room was beyond her. The room was much much nicer than the one they had originally had. They just had a basic room. It had a bed, a television, a chair, and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. It wasn't anything special. They weren't planning on spending much time in their room, so they didn't need anything. Everything about this room was nicer, though, right down to the delicate fabric that the bedsheets were made out of. Addi needed to straighten this out. The last thing she wanted was for the front desk to come up to the room, angry about how they had broken into a better suite, or something. Climbing out of bed, Addi steadied herself for a moment, before crossing the room to where she saw her purse sitting. Pulling out a bottle of Advil, she popped a couple back, and tossed the bottle onto the bed, for Parker to have a couple. Next she pulled out her hairbrush, and quickly ran it through her hair, ridding herself of the "just woke up" look. Granted, her makeup was a bit smeared and she was in last night's clothes, so it would probably still be clear to anyone. She didn't even care though. Syn knew that half of the guests in the hotel probably looked like her right now. The staff would be used to it. "Parker, I'm going to go figure this out, k? I'll be back in a minute," Addi called, heading to the door and opening it up, checking the room number, before shutting the door and heading down the hall. It took her several minutes to find her way back to the front desk from the unfamiliar room, but she didn't even have a chance to explain her situation, when the man on the other side of the desk smiled at her. "Mrs. Kwitney! What can we do for you? Was there something wrong with your room upgrade?" God, she felt like she was living the movie The Hangover. Just without the rufies, hookers, cops, baby, and Mike Tyson. Granted, it made sense for them to think they were married, or at least together in some way. The room was under Parker's name, and it was a room with just one bed. "Um, it's Miss Sawyer, actually," she said, clearly up the first mistake in the man's statement. "And I was wondering why we have an upgraded room?" The confusion was evident on the man's face, and Addi was sure she was looking the same. "It's our Honeymoon suite," he said, searching her face for anything that would indicate she remembered. "Mr. Kwitney and yourself came in early this morning, asking to be upgraded to a Honeymoon suite." Addi rolled her eyes, and gave a slight laugh. "We were also drunk. You can't take us too seriously." Taking a step away from the desk, Syn gave a slight wave and said, "Thanks." So, they drunkenly changed rooms. Perfect. At least it was Parker's credit card on file. Although, Addi couldn't leave him to pay for the new room, since it could have easily been her idea. She only managed to take a couple steps away, however, as she planned on going back upstairs and explaining it to Parker, when the man called her back. "I believe it was serious, however." Pausing, Addisyn looked back at him with a frown. "What?" "To thank us for switching your room so quickly, we received this," the man stated, holding up a photograph. Quickly closing the distance between herself and the desk again, Addisyn quickly grabbed the picture from him, her eyes widening at the site of a typical Vegas wedding, with herself and Parker as the main attraction. "Oh God," she muttered, not even glancing up at the man, as she walked away, her eyes glued to the picture. They got married!? What happened to their plan of just drinking and celebrating their graduation? What the fuck!? Addi got back to the room within minutes, and immediately went for her purse, digging through it, ignoring Parker. Finally spotting an unfamiliar piece of paper, she pulled it out, but was distracted as she heard a buzz come from within the depths of the bag. Ah, her cell phone. With over thirty new texts? All from Facebook? Addisyn only had to read the first couple to realize that the events that transpired the previous night had made their way to Facebook. Groaning, Addi unfolded the piece of paper, confirming that it was the marriage certificate. Parker was laying back in bed, after his bladder had been relieved, and Addi flopped down next to him, handing him the picture and paper. "Guess what we got up to last night." |

“Did we die and get sent to hell?” As far as Parker saw things, hell was the only real way he could have such a headache. The devil was sticking his little pitchfork into every nook and cranny of Parker’s brain to make him pay for the amount of damage he’d done to his own body with all of that drinking. But hell, they were graduating. Well, they had graduated. It was a belated graduation party, sure, but Parker and Addi didn’t have a lot of time off of work. They were real bastards at Disneyland. Well, that wasn’t true; Parker as just willing to work any hours so he could accumulate as much cash as he could. Whilst he hated having kids tug at the beard on his face to see if it was real, he knew he just had to get through the day without throwing one of them off of the top of one of the roller coasters and he’d get his money so he could do things like this. Get drunk, black out and have no idea what the fuck happened to you so that you woke up in a state like this the morning after. Maybe being fired would’ve done him some good; then he wouldn’t be killing his brain cells so badly. Parker turned his head to look at Addi as she lay in bed beside him and he took hold of the things she was holding for him to take. He tried clearing his eyes of tiredness and finally took the items from Addi’s grip, looking at them bleary-eyed for a few seconds before his vision finally returned. The photographed seemed to be a wedding or something, whilst the other was .. a marriage certificate? Why the fuck did Addi have these? Well, that was Parker’s question until the reality set in. Vegas. Drunkenness. Marriage. A brand new suite. “Who is this?” He sat up and looked closer at the photograph, seeing the dark-haired bride and groom and finally he was able to see the faces. His eyes shot to the marriage certificate which read the names ‘Parker’ and ‘Addisyn’ and he just knew that this wasn’t saying ‘Just kidding, you didn’t actually get married.’ He climbed out of bed; confused, worried, and overall just wishing he hadn’t drunken so much because then he had a headache. And a wife. Confused as hell, Parker held the photograph in one hand and the “How the fuck did this happen?” As he looked between each of the items in his hands, he also noticed as he looked down that what he was wearing certainly wasn’t his own underwear, but instead a thong. And it was likely no coincidence that Addisyn had lost her own. “And how the fuck did this happen?” The underwear didn’t exactly fit him very well, and it wasn’t until he actually noticed that he realised they could have easily been cutting off the blood flow to his legs. He and Addi weren’t exactly the same body shape, after all. Holding the photograph and paper in one hand he somehow removed the underwear for himself and apparently his views on nudity had changed since he had been dressing last night, because rather than awkwardly stand around and try and avoid letting Addi see anything, he was too concerned with the fact that they were married. Mr. and Mrs. Kwitney, apparently. That was, until he realised that he may have been wearing women’s underwear before, but now he had nothing at all, and the realisation set in so suddenly he almost fell over in shock, and he grabbed his jeans from the floor beside him, pulling them up. He didn’t care if he wasn’t wearing underwear; his jeans were going to be put in the washer when he got home anyway. He had other jeans in his case, and right now clean clothes were the least of his worries. He just turned to face Addi again, reiterating his question for the third time, but getting confused with what he was saying halfway through. “How the fuck .. happen.. everything?!” Parker really didn’t need this. Sure, it could be easily fixed with an annulment, but what if Nadya found out? God knows she and Addi didn’t get along during the best of times, but this? Nadya would’ve beaten Parker up for this and she’d probably bypass Addi altogether. “No one can know about this. Ever. We need to start drinking again. And get drunk again. So we black out and forget about all of this. There’s a minibar in here right?” But then a different question popped into his mind. Parker had been wearing nothing other than Addi’s underwear. So that surely meant Addi either had no underwear at all, or she had Parkers. And they had been sharing a bed. He looked across to her, slightly afraid of the answer he could’ve gotten. Well, he was afraid of the question first of all, but it had to be asked. “Did we.. in the bed?” He looked at the bed with concern, not wanting to use the word sex at all. It was Addi and Parker. Parker and Addi. Best friends for .. a fuckload of years. It wasn’t easy for him to just come out and ask if they’d had sex, so with any luck his worried facial expression would’ve told Addisyn to fill in the blanks. |
