On the Road Again...
Let your feet do the walking, unless of course you've got a Horse. Either way, the plain fact of the matter is, sometimes you're just moving along, not sure where you are. (For Stories that take place outside of any specific Region.)

Whitehaven
Upon the Simian Peninsula, from Harpine all the way north to the city of the Whitehaven, you find the lands of the same name. Green fields, fertile farmlands, tall grasses, and peaceful villages make up this, the safest region in all of Aspera. Nestled at the northernmost reaches of the Cliffs of Ainn, you come upon the magnificent City of the North. Within tall, white stone walls, a clean town leads up to the castle gates, which open to the most beautiful palace known to Man-kind.

Ashlin Forest
The boundary denoted by tall, gray colored trees, Ashlin Forest is a quiet and tranquil wood. Home to the Ashlin Elves, this forest is a sanctuary for Elf-kind from all parts of Aspera. It is a peaceful place for those who belong, but quite deadly for aimless passersby who have no good excuse for the direction of their path. In the heart of Ashlin Forest you can find Xefyra, the Elven capital built from the ground on up. Throughout the rest of the wood, however, most Elves have chosen to make their homes high up in the thick, gray trees.

Shadowreach Mountains
The Shadowreach Mountains, at first glance, can only be described as beautiful. Snow-capped year round, the white only expanding lower during the winter months, the Mountains are as dangerous as they are pleasing upon the eyes. Perilous cliffs, savage creatures, and ungodly cold make it nearly impossible to cross the range in one piece, especially without a guide. Underneath the surface, though, there is a completely different world. Series after series of Dwarven tunnels lead to Dwarven cities built far deeper into the earth than the mountains are tall. For those of non-Dwarf-kind decent… entry is strictly forbidden.

Ravenpoint
From the southern foot of the mountains, down the Rolling Hills of Song, all the way to the coast, you find yourself in the lands of Ravenpoint. Brown and olive grasses denote a lack of health in this region, which is ruled by a tyrant who promotes taxing his people until they can hardly afford to put loaves of bread on the table. Every home, every stable, every inn, every pub in this region appears rundown and poor. The closer you get to the docks, the lower the quality of life. The only exception, of course, is the King’s Castle, a luxurious spectacle to be seen from all around. Heavily gilded with precious metals, the palace speaks volumes about it’s primary resident.

Avindale
From the Black Desert down to Arrowport, and then to the southernmost tip of Aspera, you have the fertile lands of Avindale. Green pastures and healthy farms line the roads down to the city, which shares its name with the region. Once inside the stone walls of Avindale, the differences between this place and Whitehaven become apparent. Brass, iron, and marble serve as the building blocks of this society that is steadily working toward the future. The Castle of Avindale is less rich than both those in Ravenpoint and Whitehaven, but it is only in outward appearance that it falls behind. It is vast and rich in design more than décor.

Crimsonwood
Unlike Ashlin, named for the bark of it’s primary trees, Crimsonwood Forest is named for the blood red leaves that only seem to brighten as they fall and coat the woods floor during the fall. Seemingly wrapped around the Lake of Tears, Crimsonwood is the second most hostile wood in all of the Land, only giving way to the Faerie Forest. The Elves build their homes on low, wooden platforms, and are far less kind to trespassers than their Gray Cousins. While the forest is vast, you’ll find that the majority of Elves have made their homes near or just outside Almaia.

Wayland Falls
Wayland Falls is a quaint island just off the northern coast of Aspera. Home to the Halflings, Wayland is a beautiful country, green and prosperous, and for the most part perfectly made for the short cousins of men. Small homes can be seen built into hillsides and large tree trunks, or just standing alone throughout all the villages of the island. Wayland Falls, home to the mayor of the entire island, is best known for its gigantic (if you’re little) waterfall, which the town was named for.
