Hi all - so the great news is that my son Oliver has done great in the NICU and he's coming home from the hospital tomorrow. Long-term this means I should be generally good to go on turns, but I might need an extra 24-hours for the latest turn as my wife may think even less of dominions 3 (if that's possible) if I play on the day we bring home our baby.

That said the deadline is 24 hours from now so I think I may be fine, just want to ask now because I know Callahan isn't around much.

Parone - I tried to warn you that your 3 iron angels and your zmey would be in trouble if you kept raiding me but you didn't listen, and now they're all gone!

Of course, not gone are the 1,000 plus Ulmish troops invading my land. I should have thought of that...

@ All - I've added 24 hours to the timer for Snacktime to help him prevent any unwanted diplomatic incidents on the domestic front. New deadline is 06:23GMT on Monday.

I've also been PM-ed by RabbitCook to tell me he's off on holiday Monday, which means he'll be needing a sub. I will start looking today and hopefully one can be found soon. If I understand correctly Shiny are an important nation in the game so apologies in advance if there's some disruption and delays to the schedule while finding a sub for them. This is preferable I think to letting Shiny stale.


@ Snacktime - Good to hear wife and baby are doing well and on their way home. If you need any delays over the coming weeks then please don't hesitate to PM me.

as for the raiders-you were good to your word, with a bit of help from shinny and me(doh). unfortunately, that's not the half of Mighty Ulm's problems.

Firstly congrats to Snacktime and his wife for the newborn. I have twins (boy & girl) of 2.5 years old myself and I know exactly what he will be going through

Secondly, I wish to apologise for having to leave this very enjoyable game. Assassians has it all: nice players, great battles, high magic and deep diplomacy. I trust that Calahan will find a suitable sub and that you will not miss me at all.

I will be very happy to meet all of you again, in another Dom3 game.

Sorry you have to go Rabbit - what are we doing about finding a replacement for Shin and/or delaying the game? Shin's too important to allow a stale. Rabbit are you going to do one more turn before you go?

It looks like I've found a sub for Shiny/RabbitCook, as a player called Maliken has contacted me and offered to take over. So once the current turn hosts I will swap the emails over, and from then on Maliken should be the new ruler of Shiny. (I'll post again once I've done the swap).

Speaking of hosting, I'm going to add 2-3 hours onto the timer so that I can be around for the deadline tomorrow morning. This is something I usually lke to do when I'm around (ie. Making sure hosting doesn't happen during my overnight in case I miss last minute requests), and I will be around tomorrow morning. Plus there are only 2 turns submitted right now with <12 hours to go, so there might be a few of you out there needing a little bit more time.


@ RabbitCook - Thanks for jumping in like you did to take over from gormy. Hope you enjoy your holiday, and also hope to see you in another one of my games soon. (I'll likely be starting another one early-ish next month)
