Role Play Game, General Game Discussion

Putting in interest. Always loved roleplaying as my country in diplomacy, heard about the concept for this game and figured I'd enjoy that as well. Don't really care what era, and I could probably come up with something to interest me in any nation. Freely admit it'd be my first MP, doesn't bother me but it might not be what yer after.

I'd be up for a well conceived RP game. I certainly enjoyed and contributed to Legendary Ordeals II, after all

But I have to think such a game would definitely require a dedicated GM. And GMing such a game is definitely hard work.

I mean, after LOII, Burnsaber (the illustrious creator of Legendary Ordeals) said he would create the next iteration of the game (LO3) by the Spring.

Of 2011.

And no one has heard from him since.

OK, technically, it's just I who haven't heard from him since, and we weren't exactly tight or anything. But I'm pretty sure he hasn't posted much, if anything, here in the last year.

So maybe GMing a game such as this is just asking for rapid burnout. But Executor, if you're serious and determined, count me in

Sorry for not responding Erisian, you are very welcomed to join the game when I create it. That will happen tomorrow most likely. Though keep in mind this will be a strict no wankers, bailers and stalers game.

So, I`ve got the general bits and stuff ready. Quests, boons, titles, that sort of stuff and things. Working on the map atm and it will be either a 10+1 or 11+1 game depending on how many balanced-ish start locations I can set up. Probably 10 though.

COE 3 mod will be used as well (by Admiral Aorta) alongside CBM (latest. I`ll try to hunt down Llama for details on 2.0 as I`d like to use a bit more balanced version of EDM) and a few mod nations as requested. MC nations only, and those I deem balanced.

Also, keep in mind that the game will have a very relaxed hosting schedule. With quickhost turned OFF.

If you hosted the game privately you would have a huge amount of extra options with regards to being able to change the mod as the game progressed. (which could be used for any amount of things). All depends if you're willing to put in the extra work of emailing turns out and collecting .2h files from emails. (Or writing a script to automate it all.)

Well that would certainly be nice but unfortunately I`ve got the computer skills of a retarded fish frog.

Though I think Llama might provide me with a few extra options if I pester him enough.

You can try to pester llama, but I seem to recall Sombre asking llama for some special server options (ie. the ability to overwrite files) for a game he was running a while back (or planning to run) and nothing came of it as far as I know (I was keeping check as it's something I would find useful in future). But you can ask/pester if you're feeling lucky. Well do you punk?

Future? Do 100 year olds really plan and prepare for their future? I guess I could always ask your good old pal Gandalf to host it.
