For the last hundred years the Latro and the Jager packs have lived in a sort of peace. The boundaries between them are set, yet, bitter feelings still exsist. Werewolves from Latro, located in Eureka, do not communicate with those from Jager, located in Seven Springs. Between the two towns sits Pikeville. All three are very small towns located in the forests of North Carolina. Pikesville is the largest of them all, however, standing at seven hundred people while the other two are less than half of that. Little quarrels have broken out between the two packs from time to time, but the alphas always managed to subdue it.
Well, that was before the new generation hit the streets. Now, the Latro are ruled by the very strict alpha bitch Rowan Jacobs, who's mate was recently killed by a human hunter, and the Jager are ruled by the alpha dog Damien Lewis, who has yet to find a mate and is very laid-back and loose. Rowan is bitter towards humans - and everyone knows this. So, when a human showed up dead on the neutral grounds of Pikesville, the signs that they were killed by werewolves evident to all those in the packs(Humans have no knowledge of the children of the moon) it is not a surprise conclusions are jumped to. The Jager believe it to be the Latro, while the Latro believe it to be the Jager. It is against the laws of both packs to kill a human, obviously, this sits well with neither of the packs. It is risky to kill them, the homo sapiens, because being revealed never ends out well for the werewolves. Neither pack is willing to accept this. While war has not started outright quite yet, there is more tension than usual between the Latro and the Jager. Neither would listen to the others, which is known, and no one has tried to explain to the other. Who actually killed the human is unknown, and as is whether or not they knew it would spark this. Nonetheless, both packs are too stubborn to just leave the lands they have lived on peacefully for so long.
Truth is, lurking in the packs, are those who have started to go rogue and are the ones who killed the human. They are unknown and no one has even thought of this as a possiblity quite yet. They will come to be know as the Dehir after they break away and become their own group.
