Hey everyone .. long time, so see! (I plan on fixing that, by the way!)
This is a favor for our dear Dyann and her friend Tish ... as long time supporters of the late, great Moonlight TV series, they asked me to help spread the word about a possible movie! Please take a look at Dyann and Tish's plea and voice any thoughts! Also, feel free to check out/join their forum for Moonlight actor Alex O'Loughlin called Alex O'Loughlin Online. It's appreciated!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It seems that many of us feel we are missing the completion to Moonlight. We feel that the storylines have been left hanging in the air & not been allowed to leap like Mick off a tall structure, but hanging on threads. However, as with any thread, it is a tie into something & so I place this thread here at AOLO so we can all voice our feelings, our despair over losing a great vampire show which was truly unique and shed a different light on the folklore surrounding the vampire legends & show our support towards a Moonlight movie in the future, hopefully the near future.... We all fell in love with the characters we met in Moonlight all brought to life by some pretty wonderful young actors: Sophia Myles, Jason Dohring, Shannon Sossaman, but most of all the multi-talented young Aussie named Alex O'Loughlin... Alex, for most of us in the US, was new to our eyes, but definitely appealing, yet it was his talent that made us become devoted to him as an actor & fall in love with Mick St John. That love was cut too short by the swift destructive fires of CBS when it cancelled this favorite show even after it won a People's Choice Best New Drama Award... One of our family here on AOLO put it very bluntly & brought out what we all want, even those who dare not breathe it, a Moonlight movie with our full TV cast... But she further stated that CBS should be held responsible & pay for it... However, I say, let CBS burn after the movie is made and becomes a success so they can look like a laughing stock to the holders of their company, then perhaps the heads will roll. However, what is a better comfort would be the old adage, "What goes around, come around." We all know Moonlight was loved by young & old, it will live on, no matter what CBS tries to do to douse the ardor & our strong solidarity can bring us the movie we crave... Moonlight was about vampirism and human love; an age old myth but so sort after, such a story needs no time is right to be shown. We miss our weekly dose of Mick/Beth love, Jason/Mick banter, Coraline/Mick/Beth triangle...And many would like to find a happy ending to the Mick/Beth love but shown on the Big screen in a Moonlight movie, possibly with a little more sensuality than allowed on TV. As we all read recently, Joel Silver had approached Alex about such a movie in December of 2008; I am certain Mr Silver just did not forget about it. As you recall another vampire/human love story of a younger age group hit the silver screen by storm in November, 2008, but at that time no timeline of when the sequels to that November movie, that was from a long saga of novels, would be filmed, so Silver must have thought the time was right then... Now he may be waiting for the hoopla over that set of films to die down & then give us a real mature vampire/human love story on the big screen. But I still feel that Silver is keeping the idea on the burner and has not forgotten about it.... After all it was originally Silver's baby & a movie version of Moonlight's stories can sizzle more than allowed on TV... I want to say that Alex loved Moonlight &, yes, it hurt him that it was cancelled, too... Can you imagine how he must have felt? Like a failure is my guess... To an actor having a show cancelled is like slapping them & saying "You stunk; your acting, your makeup, your style..." And though Alex said we must let go of Moonlight, I feel, as many do, that he would welcome the chance to breathe life in Mick St John again if only one more time to show CBS & the world his Moonlight is worth it & bring the world a more scintillating Mick on the movie screen ... Please give your support... A Moonlight movie will not just appear if we don't support it or tell TPTB that we still believe in vampires, especially Mick St John, & Moonlight... We must get the show on the road and ask, plead, brush egos, beg if need be, to get this to become a reality & not just postings on a fansite... Snail mail (via Post Office) is the answer & sending the letters as certified/registered so it has to be signed for & thus noted it arrived...E-mails are not the thing;can be deleted and never read... Oh, a note, we may also want to write to the booking agents for the lead actors of TV's Moonlight to let them know this campaign is on , why & what we so want & to make their clients available for filming the movie.... It may sound like harsh measures, but any agent knows his pay depends upon what sells the public.... And please, I implore you, no matter how much we love Alex, please do not sound like you are "swooning" over him but make certain that you do imply that a Moonlight movie would not be the same without him... The more business like we sound, I think the more we will be noticed, respected, & listened to.... The following is a list of addresses to write to to seek our Moonlight movie... We can send to Nina Tassler and Mark Gordon, but I think it is best for Joel Silver to hold that power... A) Mr.Joel Silver Executive Producer & President Silver Pictures C/o Warner Bros. Studios 4000 Warner Blvd Burbank, CA, 91522 B) Alex O'Loughlin (Alex gets this mail personally...unopened) C/o Andrew Freeman Personal Manager 20 Ironsides Street, Suite 18 Marina Del Rey, CA 90292 C) Alex's agent in the US... International Creative Management Attention: Chris Hart 10250 Constellation Blvd. 7th Floor Los Angeles, CA, 90067 D) Sophia Myles's agent in London, where she is at present... Christian Hodell, Manager for Sophia Myles Fifth Floor 66-68 Margaret Street London, W1W8SR United Kingdom E) Agent for Jason Dohring Vox Inc 5670 Wilshire Blvd Suite 820 Los Angeles, CA, 90036 F) Agent for Shannyn Sossamon The Dash Group 550 North Larchmont Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90004

Hi Folks, I'm really new here, so I do hope I am doing this correctly... Well, I am Tish, Dyann's friend & I wanted you all to know that Gerry's character, Dracula, has this vampire buddy, Mick St John... Well Mick brought over some friends to the site to post some news...So Drac said he was sure Gerry would love it, especially if they were as delightful as Mick's Beth... So this is how I wound up here... I may not be Beth, perhaps not as delightful, but I still love all about Moonlight... There are many of us still around, we did not cancel out because our show was absounded from us... We still believe in vampires & the Moonlight... To honor that, & the fact that Joel Silver, executive producer of our famous TV series, also still has Moonlight on his mind, a new, different crusade to obtain a Moonlight movie is being undertaken... So I do hope that those of you who loved the Moonlight will back this and begin writing letters to Joel & the agents, the latter are always the first to really put the plug in for a great gig for their clients to producers... Now I do know this is a Gerry site, but I am certain he would love to his fans giving a helping hand since I am certain he would realize that some of even his fans tuned into his buddy Mick's show... All letters, from around the world, as both Gerry's Drac & Moonlight's Mick are totally loved everywhere, will get us all that closer toward a rewarding goal of viewing vamperism again given back to all genders & age groups, not just the young set... Hope you all will also come visit us at Alex O'Loughlin Online to post & chat... Our Moonlight thread is located in the Permalinks in the right hand colum of the page

This was posted over at AlexOLoughlinOnLine I don't think she'd mind if I repost it here! KEEP WRITEING PEOPLE KEEP WRITEING WE'RE GONNA GET THAT MOVIE! _________________________________________ Silverchex July 1, 2009 | Ok, here’s some hope to fuel our fire…. From SciFi Wire: Could a movie version of the vampire TV show Moonlight rise from the dead? The recent vampire craze born of Twilight and True Blood came a bit too late to save CBS’ Moonlight: The vampire detective series was canceled after one season. But it won a Saturn Award for best series on DVD last week, and executive producer Harry Werksman offered fans some hope that a Moonlight movie could offer some closure. “Well, we were setting up in the end of our first season that there was a coming war,” Werksman said in an exclusive interview at the awards ceremony in Burbank, Calif. “There was the family from which Coraline came, and it was a royal bloodline of vampires that Mick had been brought into, very much unwanted on his part. I think what we were going to try and do is to have the movie encapsulate the entire second season of the coming war.” The series chronicled the casework of detective Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin), who could solve crimes committed by vampires. He was dealing with his own issues with an ex, Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon), who turned him without his consent, and a 400-year-old vamp (Jason Dohring), who butted in with underworld politics. Of course, a movie would require the entire cast to return, and after the show’s cancellation, they all booked new gigs. “You know, unfortunately, I think that everyone has kind of moved on,” Werksman said. One medium that does not need actors, however, is comic books. “No, they don’t need actors,” Werksman said. “We could always do comic books, graphic novels, that’s true.” A movie is not out of the question, though, because lead actor O’Loughlin has told Werksman he’s still interested. “I know I talked to Alex just a couple weeks ago, after Three Rivers got picked up, and I was congratulating him,” he said. “He’s like, ‘When are we going to do the movie?’ I said, ‘I don’t know, man. Any time you’re ready.’” Moonlight: The Complete Series is available on DVD; reruns currently air on SCI FI Channel Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. ~~~~~~ Alex is still on board. I felt that there was still a longing to play the role of Mick St. John again. Its still there… Yipppeeee!
