Lee tried to stop Naota. She didn't actually hear the growlmon's words, the ripping winds blowing them away before they could ever even hope to reach her ears. However, she clearly felt his grip loosening on her. Her own words calling out to the dragon digimon were swept away in the winds as well, and so was she as soon as Naota's grip had loosened enough to allow it. Her body was twisted up and far, far, away as the drag of the wind-force dragged her into unconsciousness.
Many minutes after the storm had passed, very little movement could be seen about the devastated area. Then, across a stretch of the desert, the air began to waver before cracking open for another wave of humans and digimon to come rushing in. Most of these digimon were rookies, and most of the humans they were with set out across the battle field working in teams. They rushed through the battered desert area, their digimon ahead of them tracking down those that had been caught in the storm.
Within the half hour small temporary tents, really just stretched canvas roofs on poles, had been dotted over the sand while the large team of DATS relief agents and regular military doctors began to bring the injured to these shaded areas. Humans were treated immediately, while digimon were kept separate and wouldn't receive treatment until either all the humans had been cared for, or their human partner was found to vouch for them.
"Oy, oy!" Gabo rushed across the sands, his short weak working double time to find purchase on the grains that were very loose and easy to sink into thanks to the displacing winds. "I found one!" he called, as he came upon Cain, recognizing only the DATS uniform and little else. He hopped in place waving his hands up and down as Eddy worked his way through the soft sands behind him.
Once he reached Cain, he bent down on one knee and a hand coming to rest on the younger's shoulder as he noticed that Cain was awake. "Hey buddy, can you get up?" he asked, his tone worried as this would be the fifth person he'd have to drag across the sand if Cain couldn't.

The touch on his shoulder interupted Cain's thoughts. His tears were caught short, and he looked up at the stranger, Eddy? He was not sure about his name, but his face seemed familar. His face was was streaked with dirt to mix with blood from the small scrapes.
For an instant he felt that he should be ashamed, that he should deny his wounds, that he should be irratated that he would assume that anyone could see him this weak, but he couldn't. Somehow, he couldn't feel or do anything.
Robotically, without comment, Cain pushed himself off the ground. However, before he could stand, his knees gave out from beneath him. As he fell back down, he finally realized that the dark sand beneath him was dark for a reason. His wrist and leg wounds had reopened during the fight, along with an new assortment of wounds.
"Just...Just hold me up. I don't think I can walk alone." He conceded with no emotion. He clung to the broken digivice. He couldn't escape this reality, it was making everything seem sureal.

Eddy reached a hand over to catch Caim by the arm as he fell. "Steady now..." Eddy told him as he pulled the arm he'd taken a hold off over his shoulder and placed one of his own arms around Caim's waist to hold him up. He had no idea what was wrong with Caim, but Eddy would sure do his best for him for this little trip back to the tents.
"You keep searching around, try to find Yuri if you can." He told Gabo to which the blue furred digimon nodded and set off at a trot through the sands. "Come on, buddy, we're going to get you to the tents." He told Caim next, and began the difficult walk back to the small tents through the loose and clinging sands.
The trip to the closest tent only took fifteen minutes, although it seemed much longer under the unforgiving desert heat and easily giving sands. Once there Caim was quickly shuffled out of his hands and onto a futon where the doctors began to treat him. Within the background noise, one could already hear the commanding officers choosing who to send out on the first return 'shipment' of injured.
Through all the activity, it was quite a surprise that the black caped anthromorphic lion digimon went entirely unnoticed as he emerged slowly out of the sand behind a dune, a badly burned agumon held in his hands, and snuck away from the remnants of the village.
((ooc: Since it's getting a bit tough to keep this going, whenever you're ready to call this thread quits Kiara, just say so.))
