Name: Hidealgo 19 Height: 6’1 Weight: 224 lbs Hometown: MEXICO ROCK CITY Alignment: Heel Gimmick: HIDEALGO IS SUCH A BIG FUCKING ROCK STAR THAT IT WARRANTS BEING SPELLED IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS AND WITH GRATUITOUS SWEARING GOD DAMMIT. Or so he would tell you. A Lucha oddity in that he never wore a mask, Hidealgo has been operating as the spokesman for the Manos del Muerte since its creation in 2001.
The number at the end of Hidealgo’s name is the number of ring rats that he’s been with “at the same time~!” He started his career as Hidealgo 7, and has raised the number arbitrarily several times, usually right after having won a new title.
He’s actually quite intelligent, as a computer programmer who’s fluent in four languages (including English), but the fans don’t really know about that part so much.
Wrestling Style: WWE-style Cruiserweight
Entrance Music: “Creeping Death” - Metallica
Entrance Description: “Creeping Death” by Metallica hits, and Hidealgo throws the curtains wide open. He plays the air guitar at the top of the aisle, headbanging and spinning in circles, before he brings his hands overhead, making the Manos del Muerte fist-clenching taunt. Running to the ring, he slides in under the bottom rope and rises to one knee, throwing his hands up, before springing to his feet and throwing his leather jacket out of the ring.
Physical Description: Of average size and well built, Hidealgo has messily spiked black hair and black eyes. His arms are covered with tattoos to the shoulders, most notably an Aztecan godhead on his right shoulder, and a square plate of runes on his left forearm. His ring attire is a black tank top, and a pair of pants with a red lightning on black design, held up with a belt. His wrestling boots have red laces.
He wears a gold chain with a crucifix around his neck, and an old school black leather jacket with spikes and studs and stuff on it. These he takes off before he wrestles.
Personality: The complete opposite of Death Adder and Bŕrbaro, Hidealgo is loud and outspoken. He loves to talk trash and trade insults, both with other wrestlers and with the fans. Hidealgo is a perfect case of someone’s mouth pulling them to levels they wouldn’t have otherwise reached, as his wrestling skills have never really developed much past the basics, aside from a few more exotic looking finishers.
Brief Bio: The very day he debuted in Mexico, Hidealgo proclaimed he was too good for a mask and would never wear one. His abrasive personality carried him into the midcards, where he completely stalled out. He began to be seen as someone who couldn’t back up his talk, and his heat levels suffered. So he sought out El Gran Bŕrbaro, asking him to be “concert security”. At first Bŕrbaro chose to thrash Hidealgo all over the arena, but after destroying Hidealgo on a weekly basis for about a month, he began to see Hidealgo’s point of view – Hidealgo needed security, Bŕrbaro needed a mouthpiece.
A couple months after Bŕrbaro and Hidealgo formed their team, they were approached by Electric Head, who proposed forming a trios tag team. The team caught fire, and the Manos del Muerte were born.
Although not high ranking in the stable, Hidealgo is considered by many to embody a big part of the Manos del Muerte spirit, and is considered by many fans north of the border to be the stable’s big name. He’s also the member of the stable who’s most adapted to the North American wrestling style, the only one who’s given his finishing moves names.
