The history books say there were only 5 Crusades...They're wrong. There were 7. The 6th Crusade was a war to purge all of Europe of mankind's only true rival for supremacy; nosferatu, the undead, vampires, beasts in human form that drink human blood...During the Sixth Crusade, the Spanish Inquisition hunted down and butchered much of the vampire population. In just 3 years, Europe's non-living population went from 100,000 to a little less than 1,000. Vampires were hunted, found, and killed where they stood, sat, or lay. Man, woman, and child; none were spared.

The vampires, deciding they'd had enough, fled to the other places of Earth. They learned to adapt to their environment and live without being detected as non-humans. In some countries, such as the United States during George Washington's presidency, pureblood vampires such as Benjamin Franklin and Alexander Hamilton helped forge secret alliances with the Americans. In fact, most of the American army was made of vampires at the time of the Revolution, vampires who believed in their dream of a world in which vampires could coexist peacefully with humans.

In 1941, Japanese vampires helped their American cousins bring over the Hiroshima bomb. The Jap vamps saw this as a way to say "We don't like you siding with persecuting and discrimnating oni like the Nazis."

In 2001, African vampires led a secret strike against 3 British corporations threatening to tell the world what they were. Needless to say, the vampires won in the end, since no one believed the corporations at all.

Sadly, some vampires aren't really as good as those you see above. There are many of them who wish to see humans dead or enslaved.

That is why the 7th Crusade began. In this crusade, its vampires and their human allies vs. the anti-human vampires.

Welcome to the Vampire Wars.

Name: Seifer Okai

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Race: Vampire

Class: Upper Class

Job: Legendary Doll Maker, famous for his specialty, hand carved wooden dolls with gentle touches of paint applied by his fingers for a more gentle feel; Teacher at Fujin High School,
Arts Division

Allignment: Sides with humans

Nationality: Romanian/Japanese

Family: All killed by Vampire hunters

Current residence: Tokyo, Japan

Favorite quote: He who sees no colors speaks all languages. (And yes, I made this on my own. Basically, it means that if you don't have any discrimination, you can be friends with all kinds of people)

Personality: Gentle and sweet-hearted, he is loved by many of his students. He has no problem with telling people about what he is. Heavily dislikes violence

Bio: Born in Romania around, he was brought to Japan when he was 3 years old, and raised there under two foster parents and their daughter, all of whom were human. At the age of 5, he went into his first year of school. Though treated badly by many humans who did not like vampires, he held no grudge against them. For he understood; humans will never truly like or understand something that is different from them.

After high school, he went to Tokyo University, becoming the first vampire to graduate with the highest possible degree at only 20, only to take up doll making and a job at Fujin High School, right across the street from his house. He is currently on his 8th year teaching.

Name: Jesie Nosurnam

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Race: Vampire

Class: Middle Class

Job: Street musician, Cello Director at Fujin High School

Allignment: Sides with humans

Nationality: Native American (Cherokee), Italian

Family: Father, Arik Roarke (residing in America) and mother, Elizabeth Peli (residing in Italy)

Current residence: Tokyo, Japan

Favorite quote: I will never let a man drag me down so far, as to make me hate him. - Booker T. Washington; while people can annoy her, it's very rare that she will hate anybody.

Personality: Sarcastic but charming when she wishes; she has a weird way of making people learn music: She'll bet an A+ they CAN'T do it, and most of the time they prove to her they can, therefore they get the A+. Just don't diss her tattoos; she will seriously not be happy. Generally does not fight with fists, but will if she has to; doesn't exactly let people know she's a vampire.

Bio: Born to vampire parents out of a wedlock, Jes has traveled back and forth between her home Cherokee reservation and her mother's abode in Italy. She loves both places, but she fell in love with Japan on a field trip there in her middle teens. The weather reminded her of the reservation, and the cities reminded her of some places in Italy; when she was twenty one she packed everything up and moved to Tokyo as soon as she'd earned enough money.

She came upon playing the cello when she was ten; she and her mother had been listening to an orchestra playing in a concert hall, and one of the celloists was offering free classes afterward. Elizabeth had taken Jes to the classes every day after a concert, and Jes loved the music; it was easy for her to learn, due to being a vampire, but also due to having her mother's long fingers and her father's ear for music. She taught people at her American school how to play as well, and after getting a degree at a college in Tokyo, began teaching cello at Fujin High. She's been teaching for three years and loves her job.

Her three tattoos represent aspects of her personality or heritage. The dreamcatcher on her stomach represents her Native American heritage, the words on her left shin - "Made in USA" - are something of a joke, and an Eternity Flame on her back with a musical one-beat note in between the two prongs of the flame symbolize her passion for music.

Seifer hummed a soft tune as he walked into the classroom. The students all rose at command of the Class Rep. "Ohayo, Okai-sensei!" They spoke in their usual Japanese. Seifer smiled and waved to them softly. "Ohayo, minna!"

He sat quietly at his desk and looked through his notebook, calling roll. For most of the day, it was the same old stuff. It was as if no one in the class even knew their teacher wasn't human. They didn't care though. They all knew about his stance on the 7th Crusade.

The bell finally rang, and Seifer stood, heading to the teacher's lounge for lunch.

Jesie set the cello case against the wall of the teacher's lounge, making sure it wouldn't fall over, and she walked over to the coffee maker, rubbing her eyes sleepily; she didn't teach cello till afternoon, but she still never woke up properly. "Anche prima nella mattina, deve dormire," she mumbled to herself in Italian, yawning widely.

When the coffee maker beeped, she poured some into a styrofoam cup, not adding cream or sugar; she took a gulp, grimacing. It tasted horrible, but it woke her up better if there was nothing with it. "Eww." She grimaced, sticking her tongue out. "Yuck."

{{"Anche prima nella mattina, deve dormire," means 'Too early in the morning, need sleep."}}

Seifer stifled a laugh. "Good morning there, Nosurnam-sensei. Seems you might want to add some cream and sug-" He sipped some coffee at that time, with cream and sugar, and spit it into the sink, disgusted. "SWEET JESUS!!! That tasted...sooo bad!!!"

"Assaggia cattivo non importa che lei mette in esso. È appena una fermentazione cattiva, uni probabilmente ieri sedimenti." She shook her head, looking annoyed, and she dumped her cup in the sink; she had a habit of jabbering in Italian when half asleep or irritated. "Anche il sangue non potrebbe fare quel gusto migliore," she muttered, mostly to herself.

{{Translation: "It tastes bad no matter what you put in it. It's just a bad brew, probably yesterday's dregs." and "Even blood couldn't make that taste better."}}

Seifer nodded softly. He'd been around his junior fellow teacher long enough to understand what she said sometimes. Otherwise, he only spoke English, Japanese, and some scattered bits of French. "I have an idea. I'll be right back." He left for what felt like around 10 minutes, then came back into the lounge holding a pot of tea. From it appeared a bit of steam. "Fresh Blackberry tea, grown in my mother's Romanian garden. I have a cousin who sends a few batches every year for me to make some with." He smiled, pouring two cups of it and handing her one, stirring his own softly.

It was also too early in the morning for him. He grumbled softly, then sat up. "Je ne dormir pas!"
{French for, literally, "I not sleeping"}

Name: Alex Einstein

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Class: Upper

Job: Frontman for the band Deadguy

Allignment: Neutral, I guess.

Nationality: American

Family: Both his parents live in Hawaii courtesy of Alex and Deadguy's world-renowned success. He has a younger brother and two younger sisters that live in various parts of the world.

Current residence: Touring Japan

Favorite quote: "Ma'am, I may be drunk, but at least I won't be ugly in the morning." -- Winston Churchill

Personality: Carefree dude, laid back all the time. Although he is rich, he doesn't act like a high and mighty artist (like Metallica, but I'm not naming names, here). Alex just loves singing and having a good time.

Bio: Grew up in poverty in Maryland, USA. His father, Ray Einstein, is a brilliant man, but although he tried to invent things to sell, he never got very far. It was kind of ironic, considering the family's surname, but they weren't related to the famous Albert Einstein. He never went to a formal school, but his dad tried to teach him in his spare time. Alex was picked up on the band Heckler when he was sixteen. They only played one gig, but his singing was picked up by guitarist Damon Armie and his agent. Alex left the band Heckler to join with Armie. They soon formed one of the most celebrated metal bands in America, Deadguy.

Alex now has a private fortune, which he has shared with his family. The band is currently touring their album Femme Fatale in Japan.

----------------------------------------------------------------

A man in a pinstripe with spiky purple hair walked up to the off-loading truck.

"What is it, Bogen?" A short man with a tight black t-shirt and cargo shorts leaned up against the truck, puffing on a cigar. His own spiky hair was orange, and his bangs threatened to spill onto his face.

"Mr. Einstein, the concert is only in several hours. I don't feel comfortable letting you go like this." Bogen scratched his purple head.

"Nonsense." Alex gave a last puff on the cigar and crushed it beneath his sneaker. "What's the point of going to Tokyo if you can't pick up a few kinky Japanese girls? Besides, I'm taking protection this time." He patted on of his pockets, a small handgun pressed against the material.

Bogen shrugged. "If your late, your late. Keep that in mind."

"Yeah, yeah." With a thud, the truck had finished depositing Alex's two seater DirtyJet hybrid. It was debated that it was the most fuel efficient model of car, but Alex loved it because of the numerous gadgets it supplied. What's better than having a camera on the bottom of your car that lets you see the road?
"Tell Damon I'm going out this time. I don't want him to panic come warm ups."

The agent nodded, and Alex hopped into his prized vehicle, driving through the massive garage and out into the Tokyo daylight.

-Chuck Palahniuk (American freelance Journalist, Satirist and Novelist. b.1961)

Personality: Complete apathy bordering on pessimism. He tends to just go with the flow and prefers not to be influenced by much.

Bio: Law was born and raised in England for the first 7 years of his life in England with his mother. His parents had divorced shortly after he was born and he went with his mother to England whilst his father and older brother stayed in Scotland. Before his 7th birthday, Law's mother became ill and could no longer take care of him. Confused as to what was going on, his father picked him up and took him back to Scotland to be raised there. Law and his father never got along during the next 6 years and he turned to his brother for comfort. On Law's 14th birthday new arrived that his mother had died after 7 years of a slow grueling disease. Utterly shattered by the death, Law became secluded from his family and would mindlessly wandered around. One night Law stumbled into a back alley, not thinking of where he was and was confronted by a shadowy man. The man grabbed Law by the shoulder and he blacked out. 6 hours later after he came to, Law felt somthing strange, a small pinching on his lower lip. Running home to look in a mirror Law was shocked to find his neck and torso covered in blood and his teeth pointed. Law had become a vampire.

-----

Law yawned as the two teachers chatted at the front of the class, "School is soo boring..." Law struggled to stay awake as his eyelids slowly closed over his dark green eyes.

"C'mon! Wake up lil bro! Its our first class here and we want to look like good exchange students!" Drogo argued, messing up what little blonde hair Law had.

Law and Drogo looked nearly exactly alike. They were both the same height, build, and even had the same blonde hair that they both kept buzzed very short. Most people would confuse them as twins untill they noticed Drago's violet eyes, a trait which he inherited from his mother.

After drinking the tea, Seifer mentioned something about having to do something. He turned and walked outside, down the stairs of Fujin High and across the street, not presently aware of the car speeding down the road towards him.

Otherworld cranked out of the DirtyJet's stereo. Alex wanted to get to know some Japanese rock, so why not start with the Black Mages? Games were great ways to spend boring commute hours, and Final Fantasy was probably his second favorite. But nothing beats the original Mario Bros.

The song peaked at it's solo and Alex let his attention slip for a moment, glancing at a nearby building. It had great architecture, way cooler than many things he's seen in America. As he focused back on the road, he caught sight of a shape coming across the street and he slammed the brakes. Alex felt a jarring thump, but didn't know if he had hit something or if his car had dropped something from the brake strain.

It was neither of those. The figure had merely noticed the oncoming rush, performed a flip just as he was about to walk into the car's path, and tapped the hood with his hand so as to flip completely, landing on his feet. he turned to the man in the car and bowed his head. "Gome-" He noticed the man was not Japanese and blinked. "Oh, sorry. Is your car dented?" he asked, looking at the hood. There was the tiniest scratch. Nothing a 3 yen paint job wouldn't fix.

{3 yen = about 30 cents.}

Jesie sipped the tea, watching Seifer outside, and she cringed when she saw the car coming and looked away; she wasn't a fast runner. She heard a thud, but no cracking; she opened an eye and sighed in relief when she saw her fellow teacher was alright. Gonna get himself killed one day. She set the mug down, scratching her nose.

"My god. Are you allright?" Alex could hardly believe the man before him was so calm. He himself was shaken, but he swallowed his nausea and climbed out of his car. He managed to slow his racing heart and leaned against the car.

"Well..." he huffed, "There doesn't seem to be any real damage. E-excuse me for a second." He gripped his knees and his stomach. "Ah." Alex raised his hand to Seifer. "Sorry about all this."

Seifer shook his head. "It's nothing, sir. I was just a little careless. Normally I can hear better...I guess my mind was wandering, then. But where are my manners...Seifer Okai, Art teacher and doll maker at your service." He bowed, the glint of his gentle red eyes rising a bit as the sun stopped glinting off of them.
