For my upcoming character of Jadis, I generally use the original creation of the planet Jalawaar as the setting. It's a remote planet in the outer rim that factors in very little to the politics of the galaxy. Would Jalawaar be allowed to exist in this RPG or would the staff prefer only planets that we know of from the Star Wars Universe?

I have no problem with a planet being inserted into the galaxy especially an outer rim planet. There are countless planets in the galaxy that don't make it into the films, books or games.
The only problem I can really possibly see is the planet has to be reasonably believable and not hideously min/maxed e.g. your character is not the Supreme Overlord of the planet which just happens to be a haven of technology rich, military geniuses ... (you know it really sounds like I'm describing the Chiss there but it's not intentional lol).
Aside from that? Yeah you will probably want to be careful where your planet is due to the invasion which is currently building in the outer rim if you wish it to stay as you describe it. Planets taken by the Yuuzhan Vong quickly change becoming unrecognisable to their original inhabitants, the process quickly becomes known as Vongforming.
If you put your idea for the planet with a brief overview of how you see it. For instance it's politics (rebel, neutral or Imperial and democracy, republic dictatorship), how it earns most of it's money (farming, technology trading stop etc), what its main land type is (Jungle, ocean, plains whatever), Give us that kind of information we'll give it a look over and consider it.

I would be more than willing to write out as complete of a stat review of Jalawaar that I could, just tell me where to do so. Here, or would you rather me make some kind of stat sheet and post it in the pending creations board?

The planet of Jalawaar sits so far out on the Outer Rim that it's almost in a sector all its own. Relegated to only the most backwater of politics, Jalawaar is so remote that most governments are not entirely aware of where exactly it is if they even know it exists. This splendid isolation have given birth to a culture and world with very little outside influence.
The whole of Jalawaar is one steamy jungle save for the massive swamps that separate the "continents." Vegetation is in more than abundance as is wildlife of all sorts. As to which race - if any - is native to Jalawaar it is uncertain. There seems to be no unique race that call themselves Jalawaarians while being biologically different than any other. Members of all different races - from Humans to Hutts - have come to call this jungle paradise home.
However, Jalawaar is far from a paradise when you get to the social and political landscape. Since the jungles hold horrors to terrible to try and brave, all of civilization is crammed into a handful of cities. There, the dictatorship that disguises itself as a monarchy rule over the populace. With the power of the secret police and the military, the ruler of Jalawaar can be assured that total power resides in their hands. The bulk of the population lives in poverty and with few rights. The rest are either from the aristocracy, the military, or the secret police and live rather comfortably. There are frequent revolts but they are crushed so quickly and soundly that one wouldn't know it.
For entertainment, the Jalawaarians have only one preference - blood sports. Gladiatorial matches are frequent and bloody as they serve as a way to take the mind's of the poor off of how horrible their lives truly are. Podraces are not uncommon but not frequent either.
Jalawaarian architecture is unique and surprisingly beautiful. Since the Jalawaar is so overrun with vegetation, the Jalawaarians prefer to build their structures around the environment rather than through it. Most structures are made out of stone though some are made of more organic materials such as woods.
For what little trade the Jalawaarians do with the galaxy outside of their world, it is mostly crops, animals, and natural resources that are common to environments such as itself. Jalawaarian art is very rare - as most artists are jailed for "counter monarchy" beliefs - it is also an export. Jalawaarian jewelry, however, is far more common and another export. The bulk of the planet's trade is made on Jalawaar itself, the government preferring to leave Jalawaar self-sufficient rather than at the mercy of foreign trades.
Despite its remote location and small size, Jalawaar has a surprisingly large and powerful military. Though it has never engaged to offensive actions, Jalawaar's troops are well trained especially for jungle and swamp combat. While the armor and weaponry of Jalawaarian troops are not the most cutting edge, they are far from primitive and certainly worthy of some respect.
On a curious, final note it seems as if the Dark Side of the Force has a slight hold over Jalawaar perhaps brought about from the slaughter and persecution of so many innocent people. Some of the native wildlife have begun to show signs of the Dark Side's taint, growing to nightmarish proportions with devastating strength.

Sorry about the grammar, I was a tad out of it when I wrote this up and not wholly focused. Anyway...
They're more than mass-murders but closer to slaughters or actual genocides. For example, the entire population of Dugs on Jalawaar was wiped out for a short while after they staged a revolt against the monarchy. Events like this have been going on for centuries, so I'd figure that by then the planet would start to be affected. And yes, it's really only the various plants and animals that are showing signs of the Dark Side's corruption.
Jadis would be the current queen of Jalawaar.

This is very true. It's not like Jadis can be gallivanting down a busy Coruscant boulevard like Gene Kellly in "Singin' in the Rain." However, I have played Jadis before from exactly the same position and know how to wield her effectively even if she spends the bulk of her time behind the stone walls of her palace. If you're concerned about how effective of a character she could be while essentially being rooted to a single location that is so far removed from focus of the galaxy, I can assure you that I'll be able to pull my weight.

Well... on my end of things and from reading this thread I'd say go ahead and put up your application, and we can have a look at that. That's what it's all about anyway, the character, so go ahead and post that if you have it done and we can go from there.

The first bit is from one of Alk's posts earlier on in the thread. The military geniuses part doesn't really apply as far as I know, but being Ruler of the planet does. I think... that's what's making us a wee bit leery but as I said, go ahead and post the application and we'll go from there.
