The lift descended quickly down the forty stories towards the lobby level. Thankfully, the lifts were on a generator system that would help to provide a quick escape for those caught during emergencies. Seth stood there motionless with the long hilt of his light saber in both hands, holding it in front of him in a relaxed stance. His head was tilted downward slightly, causing his long hair to fall around his face, so that his orange eyes seemed to glow menacingly from between the loose strands. The man began to reach out with the Force as he neared the bottom floor, gathering the energy to him and charging his body with a ready attack. Blue electricity began to circulate around the Sith, sparkling here and there with something similar to a static discharge, as the attack grew in strength. The entire lift began to sparkle with the blue energy, and as the lift reached the lobby level, the doors of the elevator began to crawl with the blue electricity.

Even as Tarrah sensed Seth, Seth sensed Tarrah, for he knew that the Jedi was not far away. The doors to the lift opened and Seth took two quick steps out, igniting one blade of his light saber. The blue lightning seemed to follow the Sith out of the lift and Seth raised his light saber above his head as if he was calling the energy to him. The man then swung the blade down until he pointed it directly at Tarrah, and the blue electricity stormed suddenly in her direction. It was not a continuous blast of lightning, simply a very large build up of energy that would all be aimed at her all at one time. This action was done in a very timely fashion, all as Seth stepped out of the lift, identified Tarrah, and sent his attack flying with the speed of lightning towards her. As he sent this attack towards the Jedi, the man's entire countenance seemed to go crazed, and he screamed out loudly. His eyes seemed to sink in and widen at the same time, his nostrils flared, and his mouth opened wide as he yelled out, sending black spittle into the air. His gums were entirely black as was his tongue and his skin seemed to fade to an even more sickly color. (Imagine Bilbo Baggins when Frodo would not let him see the ring in Rivendale.) The other end of his blade was ignited, and Seth took another step forward in a ready Juyo stance. "I grow tired of you, JEDI!" Seth exclaimed, his voice growing deeper and sounding more unnatural than it had the last time she had spoken to him. If Tarrah had any doubts about the Sith before... well... Seth may have been being over zealous in his current actions.

Meanwhile, in space, four Star Destroyers began to come out of hyperspace just outside the atmosphere of Vulvarch at about the same time that Seth was arriving down on the lobby level of the generator building. The Slayer flew out towards them as if greeting them and immediately turned around to lead the way back down towards the city that Seth had disabled. The propulsion systems ignited and the Slayer took off with great speed towards the city. "Follow me down, commander," Leroy stated to the fleet's Admiral, who immediately complied and dispatched several squadrons of TIE fighters accompanied by TIE bombers and drop ships. The Slayer almost seemed to fall towards the earth for a long moment, before suddenly shooting forward just in time to fly over the city, causing yet another sonic boom to shake the buildings below. However, this time the sonic boom was followed by the menacing sound of TIE fighters flying over head and the sounds of precision guided bombs dropping from the bombers.

It seemed to be happening just as Seth had planned, as the city above was quickly being over shadowed by one the large Star Destroyers, which was as large as the city itself. Drop ships began to land in strategic places in the city, and the Storm Troopers immediately began to battle with the Rebel resistance that were there. The large cannons on the Star Destroyer began to hammer the city below, focusing on the military staging points that were in various points in the city. However, seeing that the opportunity was there, the Admiral of the fleet sent several drop ships of Storm Troopers towards the port that Seth had intended to overcome personally, with the intentions of taking it over himself. In just a matter of moments, the city changed from a peaceful place, to a war zone.

She saw immediately as he stepped out what was going to happen, his transformed face twisted in a rictus grin of hate. The lightning would follow the path of his blade, and she'd be hit. It was probably the precognition that saved her life. Small shocks of lightning she could survive, but not such a massive buildup as this. Tarrah used the protection of the Force as she sent out her own answering arc of lightning, though it lacked the intensity of his.

His lightning hit her shields, and she shuddered, starting to feel them give, sweat popping out on her forehead and she knew a moment before it was going to happen. She dodged to the side as the protection gave, but not quite fast enough. It hit her arm, striking it numb and useless and sending a massive shock throughout her entire system. It hadn't been avoidance enough, the force of it dropped her to the ground where she hit her head, her eyelids fluttering on the verge of unconsciousness.

In the city things were bad. This planet relied on it's orbital defenses to keep it safe, and the quality of it's standing army was poor. They were being slaughtered. This city at least, if not the planet, was a loss. Until the power turned back on. Automated defense systems started to come back online, the booming of ground based cannons and other weapons filling the air. The fight was on.

Tarrah though was in trouble.

Jerking on the ground from the shock of the lightning, she was fighting not to pass out, fighting to get up, but she just couldn't do it. Her body wouldn't obey her right now. Her entire right arm was burned a bright, livid red streaked with charred black as she whimpered slightly.

This man was going to kill her, she knew it.

The outer wall suddenly burst in, the hovering, matte black X-wing firing right over Tarrah's head and towards Seth, a constant barrage of several seconds and there was a cry in her mind.

Tarrah!

Gelin?

Droid piloting, wake up! Move!

Under the cover of the fire she dragged herself towards the X-wing, and about halfway there her legs agreed to cooperate, and she surged to her feet, using some of her last energy to leap for the open cockpit. It immediately snapped shut as she tumbled into the seat with a pained cry, and Gelin was immediately in her lap, chittering worriedly and sniffing at her burnt arm.

Stinky... Tarrah all right?

No, but I'll be fine.

She took the controls and sent the craft zipping off. Hopefully the bastard Sith didn't have any way to follow her.

As Seth began to feel the Jedi's shields give way, the sound of the blasters on the X-wing interrupted his train of thought. The Sith was forced to give up his attack and leap out of the way, barely making it out of the line of fire. He took cover and relaxed, knowing that the Jedi was fleeing. It was a good thing, too. It seemed as if he was beginning to grow weary from the amount of effort that he had just put into taking this city down. If she had known that, perhaps Tarrah would have stayed a bit longer to fight. But then again, perhaps she had her own wounds to lick.

Seth waited in the safety of cover until he heard her craft fly away, not at all concerned with chasing after the Jedi. He had achieved his mission. As he moved down the street with lightsaber in hand, he could see that the Imperial forces were doing exactly as they were trained to do: dominate. The Rebel Alliance would take a small blow on this day, but he was sure that there were plenty of other smuggling operations throughout the galaxy to find.

Seth continued to move along down the street until he came up to a make shift command post that the Imperial invaders had set up. "I am an Adai Adept," Seth said as he made his way past the guards, who were all eyeing his weapon. "I need to speak with your commander at once."

The guards complied and led the Adai to a communicator that was directly linked to the commander of these Imperial forces. After a small briefing and after assurances were made that the ground troops could handle the "mop up" duties, Seth called for his ship and left the planet. His job was done.
