Description: Mando'ade are warriors, one and all, and Jiang is no exception. He is built tall, lean and strong, with a body of hardened muscle. The years of training, and the culture in general have made Jiang ready for a fight at any time, but in truth he looks almost laid back. Jiang doesn't strut around, fists clenched and muscles tensed, ready for a fight to break out. He is actually fairly normal, even bored looking, lounging around and laying back. Only his eyes give him away, constantly moving and watching, marking everyone and trying to stay one step ahead.

Jiang's casual dress usually consists of non-descript clothing. White undershirt, jacket, and earth-toned pants, with high boots. Growing up on a desert planet, Jiang learned to dressfunctionally, but he still has a few fine articles of clothing scattered around, just in case. Of course every Mando'ade has his armor. MAde of the fine metal, beskar, it is more than just protection, it helps to make the Mandalorians. Jiang's armor is less along the traditional style, and more reminiscent of the Clone's armor from the Clone wars. The traditional T shaped visor tapers off near the bottom, giving the helmet and the armor overall a more traditional feel. The suit itself is far from old though. It is completely airtight and allows Jiang to survive in the most dangerous situations. The helmet is fully decked out as well, " Sporting more sensors and gadgets than most ships!" As Jiang likes to say.

When decked out in his full kit (as he usually is) Jiang is a formidable figure. His twin blasters rest on his thighs, while his rifle is generally slung acoss his lower back and concealed by a short cape. A low hanging belt holds an array of other items that any Bounty Hunter worth his weight would have.

Personality: The Mando'ade are a proud and honorable culture, and it is not surprising that Jiang is intensly proud of his heritage. He is all about the Mando culture, which stresses strength, honor, and loyalty. He is a warrior at heart, and the looks forward to the adrenaline rush of combat. From the outside, he is unreadable, the helmet and armor completely masking all emotion. It is part of the Mando'ad charm, to look like merciless killer to everyon on the outside.

In truth though, Jiang is much more than just a killer. Like most Mando'ade, he is very loyal to those he counts as friends or family, and distrusting of most everyone else, but other than that he doesn't fit the stereotype (most don't). Somewhere growing up, Jiang developed a sense of humor, and an insatiable appitite to learn. He is almost always cracking a joke, or making a wise comment, mostly at the most inoppertune times. Even when his face is hidden, it is hard to miss the smile in his voice. Jiang is not a very trusting person, but he never avoids social contact, in fact he prefers it. One of his most facorite things to do is sit at a bar and gossip, talk the trade, or just mingle and watch the crowd. When not playing the siocial card, he is usually trainging or reading up on some new skill or hobby of the week.

Make no mistake though, Jiang is not a push-over. He can switch from friendly to cold hard killer in a second. He is cold and calculating, rarely losing his cool in the heat of battle. The more serious the situation, the calmer he seems. It is almost as if he treats everything, even a fight, like a big game. A game he always intends to win.

History: Jiang was born to two Mando'ade parents, on Ordo. Ordo was a desert planet, and one of the few still under control of the Mandelorians. For the first 3 years of his life he stayed with his mother, clinging to her leg and following her everywhere. It was from her that he got his need for knowledge and learning. She was a scientist, specializing in the study and understanding of animals. Vicious creatures fascinated her, and Jiang grew up among some of the most dangerous creatures in the galaxy.

When he turned 3, his mother gave Jiang over to his father to be raised and trained, just like every other Mando child. His father taught him the basic of combat at a very young age, and they practiced until every movement became second nature. The rought desert weather of Ordo taught Jiang to be tough, and his father taught him to be ruthless and calculating. Jiang's caring side came from his father, who was a nurturing perosn by nature, which led him into medicine so he could help people. Not many people got the family at first glance. Three Mandalorians, a scientist and a medic, with a small child running amok with wild animals his mother was keeping.

His mother's job kept them constantly on the move, and Jiang spent as much time in a ship as he did planetside. His childhood was a blur of planets and training, and only three places still stand out to him today. The first was Tatooine, where his father told him to steal to eat. Looking back on the time, Jiang can understand what his father was teaching him, and can recall the pain it caused him to see his son go hungry. After the first few hungry nights, Jiang learned, and learned quickly. The next was Mandalore, when he was 13. He had just become a man in Mando society, and his uncle had crafted his armor for him, the parts that weren't handed down from other family members. Jiang had taken a distinct interest in history, particularly the clone wars, and how so many unrecognized men, Mandalorains, had fought and died. In respect, he had his uncle craft his helmet much like that of a trooper.

The last planet that stood out was Cholganna, a forest covered planet where his mother stopped to do some work and stay about a month. Jiang was 15 at the time, and was moving through the woods, just checking the area and the local wildlife. Something wasn't right though, the sounds were all off. Normally there was so much sound in forest like that it was almost impossible to hear yourself think. Not now though, and it set Jiang on edge. Jiang had his armor painted green and black just for the trip to the surface, and had no trouble blending into the dark canopy.

Not far from where his mother and father had landed their ship, there was a smaller shuttle. The torn up vegitation and muddy footprints meant it had landed recently. Scattered around the craft were plasteel crates, nets, and a variety of weapons. Hunters. It wouldn't have bothered Jiang so much, had he not seen the small bundle that was curled in one of the crates, hissing and clawing pitifully at the metal. Adult Jiang would have simply strode in and started up a conversation, but at 15, he didn't think so clearly.

That night he returned, intent on breaking loose the hunter's catch and setting everything free. What he hadn't thought of was the animals reaction to being released, or how much noise they would make. He got through opening about half of them before the hunters woke. There were two of them, and neither was very happy to see someone bent over their catch. A blaster round shredded the leaves next to Jiang's head, and fear only had a second to set in before training took over. Jiang ducked and rolled to right, his vibrodagger already in his hand. The hunter's caught the faintest glimpse of the T-shaped helmet, and faltered for a moment. It was a moment too long. Jiang pushed off from his crouching position and lunged forward. The first hunter broguht up his pistol, but he wasn't quick enough, and Jiang batted it aside with his gloved hand.

The vibrodagger led, and Jiang followed. The hunter tried to move to move to the side, but couldn't react quick enough. The dagger flashed up, cutting through the loose material of the man's shirt and through his neck. He fell with a soft gurgling sound. Jiang caught the man's pistol as it fell, and by the time the hunter's knees hit the ground Jiang was bringing his pistol around to the second hunter.

The other man had a head start though, and Jiang found himself looking down the barrel of the mans pistol. He was too close to dodge, and not close enough to strike at the man. What should have been fear was replaced with exhileration and rage. Then the man faltered and stumbled forward. In that second, Jiang fired. The shot took the hunter in the chest and he crumpled. A small hissing balll of spines and fur fell from his head, and Jiang picked it up, recognizing the little Nexu.

Of course his mother let him keep it, it gave her an excuse to watch it and see how it developed. Jiang named her Ka'ra, and between he and his mother they managed to get her trained and civilized enough to take out.
---

Like most children, Jiang didn't want to stay under his parents forever. When he was 19 he signed on with a trading vessel with a few friends of his as protection. His 'career' started there. After working in protection for a few months he went back to Mandalore to visit his parents and family. While there his aunt, who was a celebrated bounty hunter, asked Jiang if he would like to help her out. She was after a particularly large bounty, and didn't want to trust another hunter. Jiang jumped at the oppertunity, and gladly followed his aunt. Just before he left, his father gave him the pistol his father had, the modified Dallorian, and told him he had to give it to his first child.

Jiang's first hunt went exceptionally well, so well that his aunt asked him to stay with her awhile. It was with her, as her partner, that he began his life as a bounty hunter, and got enough credits to buy his own ship, and a few odds and ends. Since then he has been working on building a reliable reputation, and thinking about the future, becuase he doesn't want to find bad people for the rest of his life. The future though, has taken on a note of uncertainty as of late.

Example RP: From a Firefly RP, where Leon is taking his crew to see the new ship for the first time.

Leon could hardly keep himself from glancing over his shoulder as he moved through the small crowd that separated him from his ship. He could hardly believe he had found Kalii, and that she was following him. It was almost like a dream come true, if he had ever dared to dream of something like this. Usually when he got his hopes up things just turned out badly.

Thoughts like that didn't ever help a man, only served to make the fall worse, least that's how Leon saw it. A long metal nose rose up from the crowd, and Leon smiled, recognizing Ember's distinct cockpit. It only took a few more seconds for the whole ship to come into view, and for Leon's stomach to knot up. He was already in love with the ship, from the moment he had set eyes on her he was in love. He was worried about what Kalii would think.

Silly. Why are you worrying about that now?
He silently berated himself.

Ember had a sleek, almost equine helm that was attached to the main body of the ship by a long, thin neck. Two fins stuck out from the helm to help stabilize the long ship when it entered atmo. Small squares, the quarters, protruded from the underside of the neck, keeping it from being completely round. Ember's body was just like her helm, sleek and streamlined, with only the twin engines jutting out at right angles breaking the curves. The large square engines tilted and moved to provide the ship with lift and thrust enough to get up off the ground.

Overall she looked sleek and smooth, if a bit old and used, and Leon couldn't love her more. He grinned, his hands in his pockets, as he walked up to the loading door and hit the button. There was a small hum as the hydraulics worked to move the door down. Leon stepped onto the door and stared into the large cargo bay, taking in the empty space, the catwalks that led to the main part of the ship and the passengers dorms. He could see the passenger's dorm door just ahead on the first platform, then on the next level up the door leading to the dining hall.

He turned on his heal and swept his arm out. "Welcome home."
