Flarepaws eyes gained a somewhat sorrowful gaze as he realized he had probably pushed her away. He walked over to her side after mewing to her."Oh I um...I don't mind...I mean,It's not that," He studdered a bit as he sat down next to her. "Ya know it's-not t-that your a Street Clan cat or- a-anything..." he continued speaking with her, she had seemed to calm him down.

He sniffed around, the smell of blood seemed to be stronger in this specific spot.He could see the battle in his mind, the grey Toms limp body among the autumn leaves.

"Then what is it?" her eyes narrowed. Ghostpaw had only been attempting to be nice to the tom, but he didn't seem to appreciate it. The ghost-pelted cat's tail twitched a little, as she rested her head on her paws. It wasn't the best idea to be around the clancat, as both of them could get in trouble.

Her body shifted a little, causing the teeth around her neck to clink once more, and it seemed the black around her neck contrasting with her fur. Of course, during winter she was going to wear a white one, which had a different set of claws/teeth on it, which was currently in her mother's possession. It had gotten too full of them, and she had to aquire a different one, though most of the claws were just broken claws from fights she had one in play-fights, which took up the majority of the collar.

The white cat looked up as a leaf tumbled down from a tree, guided by an extremely weak breeze to fall into the clearing, "because you'll smell like the streets?"

"It's, well it's out of surprise, not that I will have the scent of Street Clan" he studdered slightly,as the vowels slurred on his tounge. He layed down gently, trying notto disturb Tabby's last memories. His mind told him to leave, that he would get cuaght with the Street Clan cat but; his heart told him to stay with her.

"I'm just a bit taken a slur, I didn't think you'd be so comforting." he said to her in a low meow as his whiskers laid flat agianst his face.

"You know your leader will not be happy when they smell a different band of cats on your pelt, right?" Ghostpaw mewed quietly, "you smell like the forest, while I probably smell like the crowfood that your clan turns away from," she responded simply, "it wouldn't be difficult to distinguish that you were around someone else."

As if attempting to become comfortable, the she-cat shifted her hind legs out from under her, so that she was laying partially on her side, with her front paws still resting on the ground as if she were laying on her belly. "You didn't?" her ears twitched, "it's not hard to think. I'm one of the few StreetClan cats who have enough dignity as to protect a kit from danger, rather than steal it from right under their mother's noses," her tail lashed for a few seconds, finding that she had been pinned into the thought of considered a killer of any animal crossing her path. "I only fought the other day because Fang was teaching Tabby how to be a fighter and hunter, and I didn't want him to get hurt." She had failed at her plan, obviously, as the tom was no longer residing within the clan, or with any home at all.

"My leader, my leader will not bother me...at least I hope not." Flarepaw curled his tail around his back end letting it slightly hang over his paws, his ears twitched a little as they were tickled by the wind. "The forest is the wrecthed yet beautiful monster that got us into this mess...The obstacle that divides our clans." he shifted a little. "of course,it does create a good cover up scent." he mewed, agreeing with her.

He closed his eyes for a moment to let his vision come bacj into gear after he had blured it with his tears. He opened them slowly, blinking off any residue from his eyes that had been cuaght by the liquid. His tail now swayed at the tip from side to side tickling his paws from left to right."No, I didn't...Street Clan Cats have made a reputation for themselves, no offense!" he added quickly being sure to insure that he ment no insults.

"Ghostpaw, I really am sorry about...Tabby" He had brought up the subject again, not even thinking of what her reaction would be. "He was a noble cat, wether he was a Full Blooded Clan cat or not..." he stood up, shaking any dirt off of his fur. "Ghostpaw, I think you should come to the village with me....Just to see how it feels to you..."

Ghostpaw nodded a little, taking a look towards the area where she had come from. She felt her fur prickling a little, listening to the insult that the tom had just stated about her home. Her mother was there, Rayne was there, and Tabby used to be there. It bothered her that a cat dared to insult her home in front of her as he did.

"I do take offense," the she-cat responded bitterly, "StreetClan isn't well-known. We don't normally invade the forest," her tail lashed in annoyance, "we aren't bad cats. You're just judging without meeting all of us!" her tone sounded fairly threatening, "if it weren't for us not having a healthy supply of food, I'm sure StreetClan could own the forest," this was a dangerous thing to say to a cat who resided in the forest. Especially seeing as she was one of those cats that lacked a healthy meal, seeing as she had been bringing the majority of her catch back to queens, since they couldn't catch their own food, even though her thin frame didn't completely give this fact away. "This is the first time in seasons that our cats have stepped foot out of twolegplace without a good reason."

Now, the white cat was upset, "you should be sorry. He was like kin to me," she mewed hastily, "he was full-bloodedly with us. He spilt that blood here," she added, as if trying to re-open the tom's wounds. Hearing his final statement, the fur on the back of her neck bristled more, "no!" she spat, "I wouldn't go to that place! The forest is not my home, Flarepaw, it isn't! My home is with my mother, and our leader, Rayne! "

Flarepaws ears flipped back into his skull as he cringed in the presence of Ghostpaws sudden bitter hiss. His fur stiffen, out of the sudden lash and his eyes widened as the harsh words burnt the fire off of his pelt.

"I guess it was just the way I was raised I guess...I'm sorry" He responded in a defensive mew, as not to get into another fight, he had cuased enough trouble. He pawed his way around to the other side of the clearing, clawing at the ground as if leaving a rememberence. He gazed into her eyes, almost sickenly stunned by how rigid they had become. He did not comment on anything she had said, other than saying, I'm sorry.

"I..." Flarepaw closed his eyes, swelling up with frustrasiton at their situation. His mouth stallled as his throat closed up. His tail trailed slowly behind him as he pawed over once again, back to her side. "I, I wish I could...I..." He paused for a moment, to think of a reason to escape her rage until she had cooled off. "Well, I have to leave, the Clan will be expecting me by now..." he purred jaggedly as his throat was somewhat closed up still.

Ghostpaw's eyes flickered to the ground, feeling her fur settle back down, and pawed lightly at the ground, not daring to dig into the dirt, at risk of finding a gray furred tom. That was something she was truly terrified of, and didn't want to see the face of her dear friend. Not like this, at least.

"W-wait!" she mewed after a couple of moments passed by, hearing his final sentence, and noting his stance. She bunched her weight onto her haunches for a moment, before using her strength to leap forwards, and dart towards the fire-like tom. The she-cat's blue eyes glittered in the light, before burrying her nose in his flank, and picking up the heavy scents of the forest.

Her ears were pressed against her skull, "don't leave me here," she mewed, feeling as if she felt rather pitiful and kit-like, "I want your company, just not your insults to my family and home!"

Flarepaw's tail twitched slightly as he felt the She-Cats cold nose pressed against his flank. He stopped and turned around in his place, fur flattening against him as he did so. He sat down easily, barely a mouse length away from her. "I...."

Flarepaw stared deeply into her eyes, seeing the emerald hue of his own in them. "Why, do you want my comapany...I killed your friend," he mewed lowly, letting the tone grumble in his throat. "I, didn't mean to insult you, or your family...but I did and probably will from time to time, unintentionally but possibly I will." He slowly nudged his face against hers, placing his maw next to her ear. "Do you really want to be here with a Clancat-a high and mighty wind bag, who killed your friend?" He mewed loudly as if talking to someone else.

'listen Ghostpaw, I thought I heard someone...' he whispered to her softly keeping his pur to a low rumble. 'If you leave now, they won't catch you....I, don't want you to be harmed becuase I strayed from my hunting duties.' he repositioned himself so that his mouth was facing up in the air. "You should leave now, so I don't have to bring you in...Go on!" he yowled, hoping she would get the hint and that whoever was there would get a clue that he was suposedly sticking with his duty. 'Go quickly....' he purred again even softer then before as if his last communications with her.

"It's better to be with someone than to mourn alone," the white cat mewed simply in responce. "I don't want to hear your insults, however. Keep them to yourself, as I don't sit around and insult your family and friends, when I can easily find ways to do so," Ghostpaw remarked. It was true, she could always pick away at everything leaving raw facts and rude remarks about whatever she desired. It came with being a cat of StreetClan. "If I didn't," the she-cat shifted just enough to make the sound of the claws and teeth echo into the tom's ear, "wouldn't I have an addition to my collar?" This may have sounded unintentionally bitter, but it was true. She wouldn't have hesitated to turn an annoying cat into crowfood.

The phantom-like cat stared at Flarepaw silently for a moment, "I don't really care what your clan tries to do to me," she mewed finally, seeming to dismiss the subject with a flick of her tail. As she stretched a little, she found her limbs tense from standing in one place for too long, and brushed her side along the orange cat's as she made her way passed, halting for a moment, her tail lightly flicking his flank, "I'll continue returning to this spot until I get caught and killed, I hope you do realize. My best friend is in the earth here, and I won't forget him as easily as one may think," she meowed simply, as if stating that Flarepaw could show up here and it would be likely that the she-cat would return.

With that, her tail twitched away from the flame-pelted tom, and she padded off, seeming to dissapear into the trees.
