Urgent Dream, [Tag: Opalstar]

Still keeping a hurried pace from Mooncave back to camp, the medicinecat, Oddeye, looked around quickly, worry gleaming in his eyes. "Opalstar?" he mewed, sounding calm so as not to worry any cats. Noone seemed to notice that his eyes betrayed this tone, as he had managed to try to gain a calmer state of mind, though the prophecy that he had received from the medicine cat gathering was quite the opposite.

His body shifted, and paws lightly tapped the ground as he made his way towards the leader's nest, "Opalstar?" he mewed at a distance, waiting to see if the tom was even at his nest, or if he was someplace else.

Opalstar's eyes slowly awakened as he heard Oddeye's voice come from outside his den. He got up quickly, as the only reason that Oddeye would not wait until a more convienent time meant something urgent had come up. He came outside, his still blurry eyes searching for Oddeye. He saw him, and nodded his head.
"Sorry, needed some sleep, didn't get so much last night... What do you have to tell me? Something bad I assume..." He cast his eyes downward, waiting for a response.

"StarClan's words trouble me," Oddeye responded quietly, his tail twitching, "I think that something bad may be coming to the clan... or even all of them," his patch-colored pelt ruffled as a breeze swept through.

The tom took a few steps closer to the den, "I think we should speak in private... perhaps inside? I'd rather not speak of my dreams where the entire clan can hear," he mewed carefully. "I'm sorry for bothering you, Opalstar, however, I feel like StarClan is telling me something that I need to understand soon... nothing said was good."

[Jackal]

Opalstar nodded, and started to walk back toward his den. He knew the last few events were somehow linked, although how, he was not sure. He walked into his den, before turning toward Oddeye, waiting.
"Now... What has Starclan been telling you?" He listened intently.

"Blood will spill blood again.
Unknown kin will fight.
To save the forest or destroy.
The sins of a father to be repented by son.
A new battle will rise."

Oddeye meowed the words of the cat that had appeared in his dream, as he had followed the tom into the den. He cringed a little remembering the numerous sets of cat eyes, and the one set furthest away from the group had seemed to have a mist surrounding it that was as dark as a storm cloud.

The medicine cat's tail twitched, "I don't know what to really make of it - but it troubles me..."

Opalstar stared into the wall for a few moments, thinking about the prophecy.
"There is one thing that is certain. It isn't good..." He looked at Oddeye. "The part about blood spilling blood is connected with the second line no doubt, about kin... Heck, you are the one who is good at this stuff, not me." Opalstar felt something ominous, and moreover something that made him shiver, something he couldn't put his paw on. It was... strange.

"I know..." Oddeye's tail twitched again. "It's not a good sign, that's all I actually know. Nothing with blood in it results in good," he mewed. "Are there any cats within our clan that don't know their relatives, perhaps cousins?" he blinked curiously. "I know as a leader you don't need to tell me, however, if there are two cats within our clan who do not know they're related to one another... it may have something to do with them..."

His body shifted a little, sitting down. "Well, if I didn't have issues figuring it out, I wouldn't be bothering you to ask... but I don't understand more than that blood will spill..." he made a motion that appeared to make him shrug.

Opalstar shivered inwardly. He realized what he was feeling. This prophecy had something to do with him. Himself, Sabby, and all their children. His heart started beating, and his head started to hurt.
"Oh Starclan..." He said to himself, not realizing that Oddeye would hear it. Blood... And probably lots of it. He looked at Oddeye. "Is there anything else? Anything at all?"

"There were images in my dream - nothing more... Cat's eyes reflecting into the water," Oddeye meowed informatively, "there were sets on each side of the river, also reflecting by a large rock in the middle of the water... and on the further side - nearest to the thunderpath was a set of eyes that had a black mist surrounding it..." he described to his fullest potential.

His head tilted a little to the sides, whiskers twitching, "you know what it might be, don't you?" he easily read from the reaction of the tom.

Opalstar's eyes shifted downward.
"...Yes..." His mind was still rattling from this new discovery. He looked at Oddeye. He realized that if he could trust anyone, it was him. But still, was it right to tell? He had kept it secret for so long, and now it was arising. Could he trust Oddeye? He decided. "What I am going to tell you may never, EVER, leave this den, or even a word be repeated, do you understand?" He looked harshly at Oddeye.

"I'm a medicine cat, do you really expect me to tell your secrets to the world? We hold privacy a top priority," Oddeye meowed respectfully. "If it's something to do with the dream, I think it's needed for me to know what to expect..." his tail twitched.

[Jackal]

Opalstar started to pour his life's secret into Oddeye.
"Moons ago, when I was just a warrior, I was sent on a mission to investigate Streetclan. While I was there, I met Sabby, a she cat, who I befriended. She helped me finish my job, but... Well, we became more than friends. She was pregnant with my kits, and... I didn't know what to do! I couldn't leave the clan because our leader was on his last life and dying of a sickness, and many people were sure that I would be made leader. I left Sabby... We divided to kits, one was sent here, and, he is now known as Desertstorm," He stopped, looking at Oddeye's reaction. "Another stayed with Sabby, and I now know is named Ghostpaw, and horribly Flarepaw has fallen for her. Another was sent to Riverclan, and another to Nightclan. I felt terrible about the whole thing, but it was the best I could do. They do not know about each other, well, except for Ghostpaw. I have a suspicion that this prophecy has a lot to do with this whole situation... sins of the father..." Opalstar looked at his feet.

Oddeye listened intently, his breaths seeming to stop for a few moments, "Desertstorm is your kit?" he tilted his head a little. The tom must have taken after his mother. He really never would have guessed. His body shifted a little, listening to the remainder. There wasn't much to say about this. "Hmm... I didn't think Flarepaw would be so open about him liking a cat from a different clan... he told Snowkit about it..." he mewed, allowing the tom to know that he was aware of this part already.

"It's not really a sin to love a cat," he comforted. "But if it is about your children... there are troubles coming for them..."

[Jackal]

"Yes... if this prophecy is truly about them, I fear for them, and myself, and every cat in the clans." Opalstar mrrwed with laughter at his comment about Deserstorm. "In my opinion that's good, I mean, no one would suspect." He mentally shrugged. "Love is like a fire. You can never control where it goes."

"Should we try to do something about this?" Oddeye gave a vacant stare, "because if it is true, your children sound like they will be ripping the fur off of one another's backs..." he mewed.
