"This is Theed flight command, please state the nature of your visit."
Jaigalaar glanced at the comm for a moment and considered his words carefully. If he brought Osira here they may very well quarantine his ship and he'd have a bunch of people he didn't know or trust scouring it for clues as to her sudden illness. Additionally they may very well quarantine her and he woud be unable to see her. They would ask all sorts of questions with him being in Mandalorian armor and they would likely want to confiscate his weapons. Nothing about this stop really settled well with him, but he wasn't about to let Osira die just because he was uncomfortable with people being on his ship. They would be unable to find anything to charge him on anyhow. His weapons were stored in a hidden compartment that only he knew about. What if they turned him away though?
"This is Jaigalaar Skirata aboard the Shriek-hawk. I am ferrying a passenger from Tatooine to Coruscant," he said in hopes that the information provided would be enough. Of course, it wasn't. It never was.
"Quite a ways from the Corellian Run aren't you? That would have been your best bet for getting there quickly," the flight commander said suspiciously. Apparently there weren't many people that decided to up and traverse several hundred light-years just for a stop off on Naboo.
"Yes I am, but there has been an unexpected turn of events that has me needing to stop on a civilized world before Corellia. You see," he continued, pausing for a moment to look over his shoulder back towards the state room. Osira had not gotten any better, though her core tempurature had stabilized for now. "My passenger has fallen ill. Somethign I'm not familiar with and I'm hoping your doctors might know more."
There was a long pause on the other end this time and the flight controller came back with "You're permitted to land but we're going to have a crew of people in hazmat suits bring her to the hospital. We cannot afford an epidemic. You're not infected are you?" he asked at the end. Jaig frowned from behind his helmet. How was he going to handle this without telling them he was a Mandalorian? It looked like there was no way around it.
"No, I'm not infected. I have taken measures to ensure that I am safe from infection," he said. "If you have armed officers meeting tell them not to shoot me on sight. I am unarmed." Jaig allowed the pause to linger for a while as the flight controller considered the implications of his statement. "I'm an ex-Mandalorian..."
"Of course," the man said after a while. "So long as you are unarmed I assure you that you will not be harmed. We will ask that you follow the security officer to the security checkpoint. Your passenger will be moved immediately to the hospital for treatment."
"Understood. I will wait aboard my ship for them once I land. I will leave the docking ramp lowered."
Jaig stood when the conversation was over and made his way back to the stateroom. Kneeling next to the bed he grabbed Osira's hand and held it in both of his. "We're going to get you help. I'll be along shortly after we land to see how you're doing. I have to take care of something first though."
For a few minutes he just sat there staring at her prone form. A strange sensation came over him just then and he realized that he truly and honestly cared whether or not she lived. Not because she owed him money, but because he felt bad for her. Maybe they had just gotten off on the wrong foot in the cantina, though he did appreciate her spunk. "I have to go land now. Hang in there..."

Osira was looking a little better, but Jaig knew more than to think that she was going to heal on her own. Whatever this was had sapped her of all energy and had put her in a comatose state. Nothing could be done on his end and he only prayed that the doctors on Naboo would be able to do something about it. As he looked upon her he felt a small tinge of sadness creep over him and gave her hand a squeeze before placing it on top of her other hand, which rested on her stomach. Jaig stood over her and stared at her face for a long while before he slowly turned and left the room and went back to the cockpit. There was nothing else he could do for her right now, and he hoped that she would be able to pull through this.
The flight through Theed to the docking bay he had been told to go to was fairly short once he had gotten to the city. As he brought the ship down he noticed that the hazmat crew was already there and waiting for them. His anxiety was through the roof when he landed the ship and shut her down. Immediately he lowered the docking ramp and stood from the pilot's seat, then made his way toward the entrace to the ship. At the bottom of the ramp were several people in hazmat suits and two of them had guns.
"Where is the patient?" one of them asked. Jaig backed up a few steps and pointed down the corridor. "She's in the stateroom. Her condition seems to have stabled, but she seems to be in a comatose state. Treat her well," he added in a threatening tone. He wasn't about to have them kill her when she had fought so hard to get here. "We'll do our best."
Jaig watched the men rush up the boarding ramp and moved toward the state room. Down at the bottom, the two with the weapons stood silently staring up at the man in the Mandalorian armor. His darkened visor turned towards them and he grinned, knowing that they couldn't see him. Even though he was no longer considered a Mandalorian by his own people, that did not stop others from associating him with them. Perhaps being dar'manda had its advantages.
After a while the crew that had boarded returned with Osira on a hover gurney and took her to a speeder, loaded her in and took off. At the bottom of the ramp, one of the men with a blaster motioned toward a second speeder. "Time to go." Jaig walked down the ramp and closed his ship up through his helmet's computer system. Following the other two men he climbed into the speeder and allowed them to take him to the security checkpoint, no doubt to be searched for weapons.

Jaig watched Osira as she glanced down at her covered legs. No doubt it was hard for her to believe that a man who hardly knew her would go out of his way to bring her to a decent hospital. There weren't many people that would do that, especially mercenaries. However, Jaig was far from your average mercenary. Jaig was a man that kept to his word and wouldn't take advantage of a situation. Osira had fallen ill and had gone unconscious. In his mind it was his duty to get her some professional medical help so that he could see her safely to Coruscant. Whether or not she saw that as a means for getting more credits out of their deal or not was her own matter. Right now he was only thankful that she was well again.
While she continued to look at her lap she expressed that she was feeling better and Jaig nodded softly. "That's good. You had me worried that you weren't going to make it for a while," he admitted. "Whatever you had, I haven't seen it before. I'm lucky that the doctors here were able to treat you, otherwise I might have had to risk traveling all the way to Corellia, and that was another day and a half, if not two."
Osira turned her gaze back towards him and if he wasn't so sure that he was healthy as a ronto, he could have sworn that her expression had softened. When she had first met him she had been very critical and even sarcastic. At times he had thought that she was truly angry with him, as she had been when she had come to his ship. Now she seemed to almost be thankful to him, even if she didn't come out and say that she was. Knowing that she was at least being civil to him right now was enough of a thanks. Then she threw a curve ball at him, admitting that she had known she was sick.
Now he was angry again, but not nearly as much as he should have been. Even though she knew she was sick she had come aboard his ship without telling him about her condition. What she had said next kept him from blowing up at her though. Apparently her goal on Coruscant was the jetii's home. Either she was going there in hopes of infecting the entire temple, or she had wished to go there in order to get her illness treated. Jaig wasn't sure which one he preferred at this point.
"You knew you were sick?" he asked skeptically. "And you didn't bother to tell me when you came aboard my ship. If I hadn't taken certain... precautions, you could have very well infected me too. I'm not going to strand you here, but I want to know now if there's anything else that could kill me during this trip." Following a short pause he added "And I want you to be truthful about it. I'm glad that you're all right, but I need to know if there's something that's going to get us both killed. My life isn't worth much anymore but if I had become infected on our way here, neither of us would be here now."

Jaig watched as Osira shifted uncomfortably in her bed. Through her body language he could tell that she was ashamed that she had done what she did and all anger that had been with him a moment ago melted away. He sighed softly and shook his head, turning his gaze to his lap. Blowing up at her had not been what he had intended, but when you were used to playing the badass mercenary, sometimes it was hard to drop the act. He would make it up to her somehow, but now he wanted to hear her explanation for what she had done. If there was going to be an explanation, that was. Either way he really did not care whether or not she shared her reason for doing what she did. Now all that mattered was getting her to Coruscant as per their deal.
When she appologized for her actions, Jaig was honestly surprised and looked up at her with an expression that mirrored his emotion. Jetii never appologized for anything they did. Why then, would Osira be any different? Then again, Mandalorians were all supposed to be bloodthirsty war mongers, and Jaig was very much not. Perhaps everyone in the galaxy had their own prejudices. "Don't worry about it," he said with an honest smile. "What matters is that I wasn't infected and we're both still here."
Then she did something very un-jetii like. Osira commented that she wasn't worth saving and he should have allowed her to die, taking what she owed off her corpse. Jaig frowned and his emotion changed from surprise to something akin to disappointment, but not nearly so severe. "And why would I do that?" he asked, almost hurt. "I promised that I'd get you to Coruscant safely. No way I was going to let you die on me. Besides, what do you think that would do to my reputation?"
While his words were centered around himself, if Osira searched his feelings, he would find that they were firmly centered around her. Jaig honestly cared whether she lived or died. It wasn't love or adoration, but something more like a strong attachment. He saw a little bit of himself in her, and that had drawn him in.
