Appearance: Jannus wears a rather complex outfit. Under the standard robe most Jedi and Sith wear – though his is black like the more traditional Sith robes – he wears a set of armor that seems to be more cloth than metal. Strips of metal with intricate designs criss-cross his chest and appear to offer little to no protection from any form of attack. He has a utility belt with sever pouches made from durasteel, the same metal his armor has. Nothing adorns his trousers, and though he wears gloves, the fingers have been cut off of them, leaving them open.
His eyes are yellow, rimmed with red. Across his beardless face he has three long scars running from the top left of his forehead, across his right eye and down his right cheek to the jaw line. His hair is a light brown and is kept somewhat longer, reaching his shoulders in the back and to the tip of his nose in the front.
Personality: Jannus is not necessarily a rude or evil person all the time. In fact, he is a generally well-mannered person who enjoys the company of others. However, when he is enraged there is no stopping him sometimes.
Background:
The Early YearsJannus was born on the planet of Corellia. A Jedi Watchman noted his sensitivity to the Force within a few months and the boy was sent to the temple on Coruscant for training. During his time there he seemed to making fairly easy progress with the tasks set to him, though he was somewhat lacking in his lightsaber skills. It was decided that he would be trained as a Consular to make up for his lack of lightsaber skill. Jannus began his training fairly early as did several others. Amongst his peers, Jannus was nothing special, being an average Consular. Eventually his skill with the lightsaber increased and he was taken by a Master at the age of eight to begin his training as a Padawan.
During his training with his Master, Jannus showed promise with his control of the Force and his skill with the lightsaber eventually evened out. However, to this day he prefers to mix his lightsaber combat with Force abilities for a devastating combination. While he was training with his Master he was forbidden to mix the two while dueling, because that tended to lead to the Dark Side of the Force. Jannus was naturally a curious person and often went to the archives to learn more than his Master would teach him.
Teenagers Are A PainDuring his teenage years, Jannus was a bit of a handful. His constant curiosity was starting to get his Master worried, because Jannus was constantly asking about the nature of the Dark Side of the Force. At first it seemed to be nothing but youthful curiosity and as the years dragged on it was becoming apparent that his fascination was becoming dangerous. Eventually his Master forbade him from going to the archives without supervision in fear that Jannus would find something he was not meant to. That would not last long, for eventually Jannus would lose his Master and be driven closer to the Dark Side because of it. Several Masters tried to wash the stain of the Dark Side from the young Jedi. All would fail.
In his late teens the Jedi Padawan left the Order, believing that their methods were all wrong. His strength in the Force continued to grow as he wandered about the galaxy learning everything that he could. In some areas he excelled, and others he did not. Piloting was something that he picked up on fairly quick, and the same went for several Dark Side powers. His wanderings would eventually lead him to Vjun where he found others like himself.
A Boy Becomes A Man (10 years ago – present)Jannus fit in well with the Dark Jedi on Vjun and eventually made a name for himself due to his control of the Force. During his time there he fell in love, and then quickly out. Finding that his love was seeing another on the side, he slaughtered her without hesitation. His descent into the Dark Side would have continued if he had not stopped himself. Though he was a Dark Jedi he did not want to become as evil as the Sith. Despite this, his soul had been tainted with the use of the Dark Side. Jannus has since hired himself out as a spare lightsaber for various criminal groups.
