It was a couple of hours past midnight as usual a couple of people still lingered around the school. Which as usual made it all the more difficult to find a quiet place. Still there was once place Nympha had found that seemed to be deserted most hours of the day now. The Drama studio. It seemed there was no current teacher and as such no classes, which honestly to Nympha seemed a small shame, but in some way it was good for her. It was quiet. It was easier for her to keep out the way, she still wasn't good round people most of the time. Sure she had one or two friends which she could be around but she would never seek them out, she would feel like she was bothering them and she definitely couldn't seek out Ryan. Her stomach twisted every time she thought about that.
Her left leg dangled off the side of the stage, her back to the door as she sat on the side of the stage, her hair was a lilac in colour and hung just past her shoulders. Her backpack with a few blankets, some spare clothing a essentials flung on the floor, she still wasn't sleeping in her dorm or even sleeping at all really. She spent her nights in the drama studio and days wandering around the grounds. She hadn't heard from her mother since she had came to the school and truthfully didn't expect to again. It made things harder not only emotionally but financially as well. She managed though, sure she maybe didn't eat as much as she should but as usual she survived.
Music played softly in the background, her voice drifted up to the rafters singing along her voice holding all its usual softness. Although her voice was good, like most of her skills when it came to music, she had never performed in front of people. Not as a singer, actress or musician, all which she was proficient in. It wasn't down to her confidence, although admittedly she didn't have a lot, it was more so down to the simple fact she had never wanted the lime light, unlike her mother.
Still she wasn't too worried about anyone hearing her. Not many came to this section of the school and she wasn't even sure if any came to this room, apart from her. The thin covering of dust on most of the seats seemed only to confirm that, one of the things admittedly that had drawn her here in the first place.

Jade had been wandering around the school late at night when she decided to settle on the Drama Classroom. She had been pretending to be her room mate. The stage seemed an excellent place to pretend to be her room mate. Fortunately her room mate hadn't entered the room.
Aran K. Ziota was a delicate girl, but Jade could easily imitate her due to accidentally turning into the girl the day they met. Aran had passed out, and Jade had panicked causing her powers to be less concentrated, thus causing her to absorb the girl's DNA.
As a result of this use of the morphing power, she had gotten tired several hours ago and had fallen asleep behind a piece of scenery. Jade still looked like the dark haired aristocratic girl. Because of the girl's power, which was also stored during the incident, she now could hear things really loudly, and the dust in the room felt as though it was trying to molest her senses.
The wind carried things to her, as though it felt she needed to know about everything. It was as footsteps entered, and inspected the space that Jade realized that she wasn't alone. However, due to her still being sleep deprived, she rubbed her nose of the dust, and fell back to sleep. Several minutes later, she awoke to the music of a nearly angelic voice.
As though haunting yet beautiful at the same time, Jade sat up. Still having the basic structure of her room mate, the wind felt that she was required to hear this sound as loudly as possible. The fortunate thing about this, was that it also caused the dust to come off of her in a cloud, only a film of it remaining. Just enough to cause Jade to realize that her nose twitched with a sudden tickle.
She rabbitted her nose around a brief while, trying to remain hidden in the shadows. This effort became barely possible as she began to stave off a sneeze. Her mouth opened up, and before she could stop it, she sneezed loudly, with an echo. Because of her friend the wind, she also caused a cloud of dust to rise from the back of the small stage. She paused mortified, stumbling around in the dark to find something to hide behind.
Jade tried not to curse at herself for remaining her room mate so long.
Muttering to herself in second person, “Stupid, Jade. Why did you have to fall asleep looking like our room mate?”

The dust honestly didn't bother Nympha, she had never really suffered from things like allergies, which she supposed was a good thing. After all she had lived in the country for half of her life and spent a lot of her time out doors merely to get outside the house. she was kind of use to dust as well. She normally went places that where deserted and normally deserted places where covered in dust, she had found quite a few places like that at the school. Half the school in general seemed deserted and covered in dust. It didn't seem for lack of students either, now she had no doubt that the school wasn't full, but even half empty it was pretty busy.
A down side for Nympha, especially these days. She just couldn't face people, she felt too odd around them. Like she had to be cautious. Careful not too accidentally come in contact with them, careful not to let slip what had happened that day in the woods and careful she didn't upset them. She couldn't afford to get in any more...incidents. Not now. She couldn't go to the infirmary if she did and she would never ask anyone for help. It was too much out of her nature.
Staying out of the way in here was much safer.
Well or at least the girl thought. The sneeze seemed to want to prove her wrong though, the noise echoing through the rafters a cloud of dust puffing up from the back of the stage. Nympha's gaze shot over to where the sneeze had come from and stumbling could now be heard just above the music. If she hadn't have been frozen Nympha probably would have bolted out of there without another word, mind you it was probably a good thing she didn't, after all her bags where still back there.
Nympha frowned a little as the girl spoke, okay she was making very little sense, maybe she was ill or something? She was pretty sure she had only heard one person...Maybe she was wrong, maybe there had actually been two...She wasn't so sure now. If there was more then one Nympha defiantly didn't want to deal with them, she had a hard enough time dealing with one person. Still she had to check whoever was back there was at least okay...
“Are you ummm...okay?” The girls voice barely drifted over as she shifted round uncomfortable, she didn't stand or move closer to see whoever it was. “I can go if I disturbed you...” Not that she really had any where to go. She figured she'd find somewhere though.

“Oh, no, no, no, no,” Jade clasped her hand over her mouth, realizing that she had frightened the girl, “You haven't disturbed anything. I-I, I just get really tired after I shape shift into something else....”
Having forgotten that for all extents and purposes, she was technically in the body of a different person, she stumbled awkwardly into what little light the room afforded. The thin film of dust, that normally wouldn't be on a person after a short nap, almost seemed to make her look ghastly white. The wind finding it a necessity to play with her, caused her clothes to flutter as though on a boat's bow.
Tonight, Jade wore a Metallica T-shirt, which was tucked into a red, white, and black pleated plaid skirt that went two-thirds of the way towards her knee, and was secured at the waist with a studded belt. Her shoes being dark-blue high-top Converse with over-the-knee red socks.
Jade began to dust herself off with abrupt directional strokes across her body and clothes. She felt filthy, and the wind seemed to want to keep that feeling going as long as it had the power to torment her. As long as the wind thought it could do that, she would use the wind to her advantage and let it carry the dust away from her. With a little coercion, the wind began to twist gently through the room, carrying the dust that was on Jade out towards the door of the room.
The wind was so delighted that it was being told to do something, it even added a step by pulling the dust swiftly under the gap below and around the door, and carried it out a hall window to the outdoors. It had been a very long time since Aran had played with them, and Jade being able to be Aran even for a little while pleased the wind greatly.
The wind swirled around Jade, gently caressing her, until she realized that she sort of did look a bit deranged smiling at nothing but a minor dust eddy. “Stop it,” She said to the air, causing it to rush out of the room. Only the typical circulation caused by ventilation remaining.
“Sorry about that, I always forget that my room mate controls the weather. The wind and lightning, in particular, being quite fond of her,” Jade clarified.
Jade still felt dirty, but considerably less so. She extended her hand towards the girl with a broad smile across her face, “My name is Jade Ferrington, who would you be?”

Now Nympha herself had never tried to shape-shift into anyone else, truthfully she tried not to shift at all beyond her own hair and eyes but half the time her powers seemed to have a different idea to her. It seemed the girl was a shape shifter too, a more successful one then Nympha, she seemed fully conscious and in control of her shifting, even if she had said she was a little tired. She also didn't have any massive injuries to herself, as oppose to what Nympha got if she tried to shape-shift. Mind you according to the magic teacher Nympha's shifting powers where only half formed.
The magic teacher had said she couldn't even tell whether they would develop any more, it was kind of like her powers had suddenly stopped forming. Normally training would counteract it but it was a part of her powers that couldn't be taught. It was something that would either kick in or wouldn't. At the moment it looked like it wouldn't kick in. still there was little she could do so she just tried to suppress her shifting the best she could.
Nympha watched as the girl dusted herself off the wind seeming to swirl around her and carry the dust away, her hair hung over her light blue eyes the wind now swirling softly round the room only shifting it a little. As the girl stumbled closer Nympha rose to her own feet shifting back off the stage so she was just a little away from the girl. It was the girl in particular it was just Nympha felt a little uneasy around anyone, she had never been great but currently she was worse then ever. The small amount of confidence she had manage to build up had been completely and utterly destroyed after that night in the woods.
As she said stop it Nympha's gaze shot up a little bewildered, it took a second or so to realize she wasn't actually speaking to Nympha on that one but clarified it anyway as she mentioned about her room mates powers. She guessed that whose current appearance the girl was taking on, after all it didn't take much to guess and the girl had pretty much said anyway.
It wasn't until she spoke her name Nympha turned her gaze upwards, Jade Ferrington, that was the friend Omen had thought she should meet but Nympha had been a little unsure about. “I'm Nympha Rose...” Her voice still quite and a little hesitant sounding as she shook the girls hand a little reluctantly, she was wearing gloves so her powers shouldn't kick in but she was still a little hesitant about contact in general. “ I've heard about you...I mean from Omen...I think he's your friend as well, he said I should meet you.” She said realising she maybe wasn't exactly explaining herself well.

Jade shook Nympha's hand, and smiled wide, “A pleasure to meet you Nympha. It is alright if I truncate it, isn't it?”
Jade thought for a second over the girl's pronunciation. Omen, omen, could she be referring to Oman? Ah yes, the bewilderingly beautiful blue boy from the stars. She closed her eyes, remembering when he had carried her after she had all but passed out in the lunch room once. Tall, strong, and could make her laugh without effort. Yes, she knew Oman, he was the stuff dreams were made of.
She smiled sourly at the girl's pronunciation, “Ah, yes, Oh-mon,” with a restricted gush, she then continued, “Very handsome and friendly. Don't tell him I said this, but I really think he's quite striking."
Jade, trying to get back to her bearings searched the few strands of DNA stored in her head for the one that was her usual visage. Jade's hair first changed color, as though paint were seeping through her strands of hair, and her body's overall stature seemed to shift as her bones and muscles reconfigured. She could of course do much more complex changes, but when changing from one human to another, it was merely a decision to assert control over the cellular structure and let the muscles and bones contract as necessary. It could get quite painful if she had to make rapid changes to something drastically different. This also depended quite heavily on how complete of a change it was. Without DNA, the changes could only be approximate, and far less painful.
As Jade released Nympha's hand, her skin became a shade or two darker in tone, closer to her latin roots. Well, not her family's roots, but the roots of the DNA that she had been gifted with when she began to realize she had these powers. Her more english family had been completely angered when she had opted not to remain a guy after being given such a gift.
“Oman, had always alluded to knowing someone else with a similar ability. I never thought to seek you out, guess we met by chance anyways.”
She had been forcefully changed once, a cat-like boy had clawed into her. Her blood was volatile, and any living DNA that came into contact with it, was copied and stored inside of her unique brain center. It got annoying when she was being treated medically. She fortunately didn't have to deal with that often. It wasn't as easy as Nympha, since she was wearing gloves, but it was close enough that Jade had to be careful about getting open flesh wounds, or becoming too concerned or worried when carrying creatures when their skin came into contact.
“I see you wear gloves, wish I had thought of that. Then again, I wouldn't have been able to be my room mate tonight if I had been that cautious with my abilities,” She laughed. “Don't feel sorry about it though, I'm sure it has good reason. Just as I try to avoid getting open flesh wounds. Blood to blood contact makes me change without my desiring to do so. I fortunately have more control when surface to surface contact is made.”

To be honest Nympha wasn't really thinking straight, if she had been she would have noticed the mispronunciation on her part but truthfully her mind was still a little all over the place. She couldn't remember the last time she had slept. A little sleep sounded like a good idea. If only she could, every time she closed her eyes it was like that night was on a playback loop in her mind only clearer. There was none of the fuzziness of that night that she had gotten from the blinding pain after being tossed around like a rag doll and the resulting injuries her shape-shifting powers had caused her.
Jade seemed a little over offended at her slip-up though, from her gushing though Nympha was guessing she had a little crush on him. She supposed his appearance was striking in an other worldly way but Nympha could never see him as anything other then a friend. “Yeah...Oman; sorry I've been a little absent-minded lately.” She muttered as the girl transformed, into what she assumed was her usual appearance. Though with shape-shifters it was always hard to judge if they had a normal appearance, after all Nympha herself didn't, she always stayed about the same hight, body and facial shape but her eyes and hair where constantly changing.
She tried not to wince as Jade changed her form, she didn't know if it hurt but from the looks of things it wasn't too bad. Nympha had yet learn how to change into other people, not that the idea particularly appealed to her, but she couldn't shift at all without ending up pretty much unconscious when she changed back.
“Last time I met up with him he mentioned you but since that I've been kind of...preoccupied.” She hadn't even seen Oman since then, she supposed she should maybe check her room as he said he would leave a note sometime but she couldn't face the four walls of her dorm at the moment she'd rather be just about anywhere else, truthfully she had never been too keen on staying in her dorm but normally she at least went back on the night, at the moment she was carrying around a bag of spare clothes just to avoid it.
It seemed the girl certainly had more control then her if nothing else. If Nympha came into skin to skin contact with a new person she didn't know when her powers would decided to set off, it seemed they where especially temperamental when it came to people with physical differences.
She tugged her gloves a little, “I don't have much control over my shape-shifting, especially not when it comes to other forms...I kind of don't regenerate properly, so I find it better to not force my powers too much.” She said shifting a little uneasily, the girl normally tried to keep her powers hidden as best possible but if the girl was a friend of Oman's she guessed it might be okay. Plus it wasn't like the girl could do much more damage to her then her own powers already did.

Despite being somewhat cleaner and now in roughly her own body, she still felt a bit wobbly. A sort of vertigo did happen every so often, especially when she had to get used to the fact that her own form had a heavier chest than that of her room mate. Jade stabilized herself on a piano that was on stage. The last time she'd used a piano was when she was at the Charleston Host Foundation back in Boston. They had a very nice building, which was expected when you knew that the man was loaded, and had chosen to start a foundation to help people like his now deceased son.
Jade didn't ignore the girl's shyness though, she seemed distracted. Having stabilized herself, Jade approached the edge of the stage, noticed where the girl had been sitting and sat with her legs dangling off of the edge. Jade patted the edge of the stage next to her, “I don't bite. I'm regularly pretty lonely. My most regular friend is gone a lot and we don't get to see each other much.”
She had other friends, Oman being one, and Shadow being another, but she hadn't thought of any exploits that they could engage in together. Maybe she'd enjoy having a party, something that King Kat would be known to throw, but without him being there, hopefully. Jade had been wanting to give him a taste of his own cruelty at some point, she made a fist and hammered the stage lightly at the thought. Then she smiled to compensate, and looked back to Nympha.
Preoccupied... Yes, that did happen frequently, even to her. Jade knew what it was like to be preoccupied. Before coming here, she was preoccupied with survival. The streets were an unforgiving place. In Boston especially. She had fought long and hard to not be enslaved by the emotions that had made her life perilous back then. However, here she was with someone who wasn't nearly as outgoing, but was someone with a similar power. Perhaps they had more in common than that.
Jade smiled mischievously, “Might I ask what you were preoccupied with?”

Okay so Nympha knew the girl was just trying to be friendly but the words 'don't bite' still make her stomach twist a little. Though of course there was no way the girl would know that and really Nympha was glad, the fewer people who knew the better as far as the girl was concerned. After all it had been her fault the vampire had ultimately been killed, if not for her then things probably wouldn't have gotten so bad. She shifted her shoulders a little uncomfortable, suddenly very aware of the half healed stitches in her back.
Still, if a little bit hesitant Nympha took her perch on the edge of the stage again sat a little away from Jade. It was the lonely comment that had got her. If nothing else she knew how that felt, though for Jade it seemed through no fault of her own. It just seemed the person she cared for the most was gone a lot. For Nympha it was better off if she avoided people, especially the person she cared for most. All she seemed to do was cause him trouble. She seemed to be rather good at that in general at this place.
“Oh its a shame you can't see that person more.” Nympha said titling her gaze to the side slightly to half meet the girls eyes in the was she did so usually, still slightly off when it came to meeting peoples eyes fully.
As Jade asked what she was preoccupied with Nymphs felt that all too familiar twist in her stomach, now she wasn't about to go spilling her guts but she didn't feel like outright lying either. After all it was a little too heavy to tell a girl she barely knew all the details about the past couple of days. She hadn't even gotten her head properly around it all.
“Just the past couple of days...They've be a little painful.” The girl said with a wry smile and she meant painful in every sense of the word. Every inch of her body still ached, the marks on her body still hadn't healed properly and at the moment she didn't know if it had been a couple of days or in fact longer. Truthfully since she hadn't been sleeping her sense of time was becoming a little warped.
“Do you like music?” The girl said not particularly trying to change subject but music had been her focus for the past couple of days, plus she was finding it hard to keep track of any one subject.

Jade began to swing her legs back and forth off of the edge of the stage, periodically hitting with a hollow thump. She half smiled, trying to conceal the bitter-sweet memories. It had been a while since she had talked to anyone.
Cyrus, her zombie friend and partial crush had been out doing whatever he did between the long periods she saw him. She missed him a lot, and wished they could see each other more, but it didn't happen. She expected that it wouldn't happen often. Especially since Jade herself was excellent at getting into her own brand of trouble. Including attracting large spiders to the school, killing satanic apparitions, and flying half way across the continent to get luggage.
Jade shrugged when the other girl consoled her, “It's ok. He's nice enough to me, that I cherish the times we are together. I guess, that's all anyone can do with someone they love.”
It was pretty easy to notice that the girl was trying to avoid looking her directly in the eyes. Why, she had no idea, but it was likely a social aversion. People who were used to being alone did that. She had been somewhat like that, but she also wanted to be with people. Something she never really understood about some people. Why would they not want to be around people?
The girl seemed extremely uncomfortable talking about herself. As though speaking about herself would ruin some form of anonymity that she had. Jade knew too well that anonymity had benefits, but it also had problems associated with it. It could easily be the end of someone. If you were anonymous on the streets, you could die without anyone caring, but at the same time, you had nobody to love or be loved by. That was probably the one attribute of being alone that hurt Jade the most.
When the girl said that the distraction had been painful, Jade pushed herself towards the girl, and hugged her tight. Jade had always been a bit stand offish. Having been born male, and been given the gift of this new body at puberty she had never really acclimated to the social proximity of most other girls her age. The fact that she had been on the streets for her lower teens didn't help to do anything but increase that proximity aversion. But she could sense that this girl needed some love. So she had hugged her. Which seemed oddly uncharacteristic.
It was then that the girl asked if she liked music. Which loosened Jade's hug, and she held the girl's shoulders lightly with the palms of her hands, “I love music. I play the guitar when I get the chance.”

It wasn't that Nympha didn't want people around, in theory the idea of having people around her most of the time sounded nice. In theory. In practice things seemed to go wrong most of the time. She had witnessed what could go wrong first hand and god had it ever gone wrong. Two people had died because of her. Sure Ebony hadn't been her friend and Ryan had come back but they had both still died because of her careless actions. What if it had been Sol or Jeff or even the teacher? What if she got someone else seriously hurt? Not everyone was as invincible as others at this school.
Nympha included. She knew she was far from invincible, it was like the constant ache in her body was reminding her of that. Reminding her that she needed to keep her head low for a while, if anything happened now she wasn't so sure she'd survive it. She had barely survived last time. Nympha had always tried to keep her head low though, it rarely worked though. Somehow things always seemed to have a way of finding her.
“I suppose.” Was all the reply the girl gave. She was still really only learning in that area, she had never really felt that strongly about someone until she had come her. Her feelings had always been very muted.
As Jade hugged her though if given the room Nympha probably would have fell of the edge of the stage. Her body tensed, hugging was still a very foreign thing for her, close contact of any kind was still very awkward. To some it might have seemed odd, especially from the out side, after all Nympha had a relativity normal upbringing but she could still say she had only ever shown real affection towards one person without flinching and that wasn't even her own mother. She had realised from a very young age her mother wasn't the affectionate type of person and Nympha had never really craved it. So having pretty much a stranger in her personal space felt more then a little uncomfortable for her.
Though she tried to hide it. After all she knew the girl was only doing it out of kindness. She couldn't help but feel a little less uncomfortable as she moved away a little just keeping her hands on her shoulders. “Have you ever performed or sung?” Nympha said moving on to a topic she felt more comfortable with. “Do you like any other of the arts?” The girl spoek deciding to stick to a subject she knew plenty about.

The girl had chosen to change the subject to something less sensitive, and Jade could understand that. When the girl asked her if she had ever sung or performed. “I've done that often. Although, since coming here, I haven't really been given the opportunity to perform in public in front of any crowds.”
Jade then drew a rudimentary torch in the dust on the stage, “I do enjoy doing sculpture, too. I've always wanted to learn more about welding. I've mostly just done drill and bolt assembly when it comes to big metal pieces. However, I've always wanted to make one of those massive sculptures with metal, and better skills welding would be needed for that.”
Jade thought about the fact that she liked to draw as well, but she wasn't nearly as good at that as she was at molding objects. She was far better with sculpture, something she had thought to ask the art teacher for help with. Since she was trying to learn to draw better.
Jade touched the bare skin of her legs and tapped the stage with her gym shoes, then sat on the edge of the stage. She thought about the girl's questions to her and then decided to ask her one of them, to satiate curiosity about her singing, “Have you ever performed in front of anyone? And if so, would you ever consider performing with me if I decided to perform in front of the school?”
She had no idea how Nympha would react to the question, but she had hopes that it would be answered and received positively. Jade would love to have an opportunity to perform in front of people. It'd also give someone an excuse to clean the auditorium. Filthy place, someone had told her the place was worse than the drama studio they were in. And considering how much dust had collected on Jade when she had napped, it must have been in need of dusting for months. Jade now understood why Aran was so staunchly against dirt and dust. She seemed to think to herself about that, a sour expression crossing her face before being replaced with a closed lipped smile. It wouldn't be hard to clean the auditorium with the powers of the wind, maybe. She shook her head to herself, it would be better to ask for help. It wouldn't be good for her, having almost no experience with her room mate's ability to start a tornado in the auditorium.

Nympha herself had only performed a couple of times, she wasn't really one to choose to be in the lime light. Truthfully she kind of avoided it. Not really all that surprising, it wasn't that being on stage or her lack of skill was what made her nervous, it was afterwards. When people tried to talk to her, ask her about her performance. It was the attention she didn't like that came with performing. Truthfully the girl didn't really like any form of attention. It was why she didn't sign any of her artwork with her actual name.
In that way she was completely opposite to her mother, her mother wanted to be known, wanted her name to be spread around the world. Nympha didn't. Sara wanted to be famous, she wanted fame for not only her but her daughter and their entire family name. Nympha on the other hand would be quite happy to remain anonymous, a nobody for the rest of her life. She just wanted a quiet life, earn enough to get by, not that the girl could ever really imagine having a job, not a proper one. What would she even do? Even if she was skilled and fairly intelligent she had no formal qualifications. One of the downsides of being home-schooled and moving endlessly. She had never really stuck on one schooling system for more then a year or two.
As Jade mentioned metal sculpting Nympha perked a brow in interest, admittedly that had to be one of the few art forms she had never tried. “Never tried metal craft. Maybe I'll have to sometime.” She had only done minor clay sculpting as well, truthfully she was more of a painter. She loved painting. Not that she really ever attended art class.
“ Well I've only performed in front of a crowd once or twice.” She said shifting a little. “I kind of like not being known by many. It makes things easier.” It certainly made it easier to keep her head down and stay out of trouble. She got in enough trouble as things were the last thing she needed was to get in more trouble then she already got in and she could only imagine that with more attention would come more trouble.
She supposed though it would be a real test of her shifting skills though, if she stood up on stage and could still after that remain pretty much unrecognized it would bode well as a test. She suppose once couldn't do any harm and if Jade was there she guessed Jade could probably take most of the attention off her. “It could be fun...” Nympha spoke sounding a little hesitant still. “I mean I suppose I can always alter my appearance afterwards.” She muttered half to herself. “I guess if you wanted me to I could perform with you sometime...As long as I can stay in the back...I'm not really fond of the attention that comes with performing.” She muttered a little uneasily.

Jade nodded at her mutual interest in metal crafts, perhaps they would have to sneak into the lab when a class wasn't working and build something together. It would be kind of fun, especially since she had just barely begun to read on the topic of welding. The air, the heat, the fancy masks, she found all kinds of stuff like that almost too interesting. Ironically, her dad would have been thrilled. He was extremely into all sorts of tool related endeavors, mostly car repair and restoration. Despite this reflection, she gushed at the chance to be a real artisan smithy. Oh baby, she could feel the energy already, or was that her room mate's DNA talking?
Jade shrugged at the thought. She hadn't really spoken much with her room mate, it was almost as though they had grown apart due to academic schedule. Maybe they needed to have a long chat in their bedroom. Share a little love, like sisters might do in a shared space. Jade hadn't seen her own sister or brother in years, and really, wasn't sure what her parents had been up to since she had left. Even though they had sent her a card around christmas. Perhaps they were warming to the idea of her being who she was.
Jade nodded at the mention of anonymity having it's benefits. She had been in a few situations where her choice to have a regular appearance could have caused her additional troubles, “Yeah, I can imagine that anonymity could have it's benefits. I'm sure if I needed anonymity I could find a way to achieve it. Probably similar to your changing your appearance a lot.”
The girl gushed at the mention of being in front, “of course, if you want to be in back, your more than welcome to stay back doing something that keeps you more comfortable. Besides, I'm kind of a showy type anyways. Although, you'd probably end up getting thanked publicly for your awesomeness.”
Jade had only a few friends at this school, most of which had been somewhat stand-offish recently. It was kind of sad, but she knew that you couldn't push yourself on friends, they tended to hate that. So, here she was forging onwards into the amazing future. New friends, perhaps revisit some older ones, maybe even an adventure or two. She just hoped that didn't get her into trouble. She'd been in trouble before, and it could have been worse. Jade tried to keep her face jovial, despite her more serious deliberations, “I'm sure you'd be great on stage.”
