Darbyville Academy
is a school unlike any other. You won't only find lessons in Math or Chemistry here; you'll also find a small community of outcasts, people born or raised with special powers or abilities, that set them apart from the rest of society. People who might be persecuted or humiliated because of their powers.

But in Darbyville Academy they can find a place of solace and learning, where they are taught to control their abilities and intergrate into society.

Of course, the school can't remain a total secret and some 'normal' people don't like the fact that thes students could be part of a 'super army' that could easily knock out any military force currently in operation. There have been attacks on the school, both physically and socially.

However, by and by, the students live happy and normal lives - as normal as they can. At Darbyville Academy it's not unlikely to encounter werewolves, wizards, angels and demons; hence the students nickname: Demon High.

The room was all ready, all she needed now was the students. The tables where pushed to one side the chairs removed completely from the room. It was the first lesson of the year and although a little late in the year she had been a little busy. Still better late then never she supposed and she was hoping today would prove to be interesting. Most first lessons of the year where though there was always the awkward matter of getting some of the more full of themselves students to pay attention. The ones who thought they didn't need to because they already knew it all. Maybe there would be none like that this year, still she wasn't going to hold her breath and wait.

Her long dark hair was tied loosely back and she was wearing her combat clothing, a simple pair of black shorts and a white t-shirt, the room was well heated so even though it was winter outside inside it was a warm, a little warmer then spring. The same enchantment as ever was on her room making it look like the forest outside, the only difference being the trees in her room still had leaves on and the sky was a bright blue.

She wasn't sure how many students to expect, she knew how many had signed up but often others came along and some who had signed up didn't. Still she didn't mind as long as she got a couple genuinely interested in her class she would be happy. Overall she enjoyed teaching, she enjoyed helping people to learn, when they actually paid attention to her that was. Which she had to admit more often than not they didn't seem to.

Still the class should be interesting, she thought sitting on the edge of her desk, if anyone actually arrive. Not that class had actually started yet anyway.

Erin checked the time on a big clock set on the wall. It was still too early to go to her next class, but she didn't have anything better to do. She set off in the direction of the 'Magic Class 101' classroom at a brisk walk. Her black converse made no noise because she was stepping on the ends of her jeans, a blessing and a curse in her opinion. Her strawberry blond hair was pulled up into a neat ponytail and curled in ringlets down to her shoulders. She was wearing a black jacket with a grey long sleeved shirt underneath that had a boat neck.

Erin shook her head in annoyance. She didn't want to take this class. Not because she didn't like school, but because there would be other people in the class. Probably a lot of other people. This wasn't one of those classes where you could sit in the back and listen without being noticed. This was one of those classes where you had to participate, and talk to people. She scowled at a passing student. Why would anyone want to participate in a class like that? Why would anyone like mingling with people? She crossed her arms, a sure sign that she was in one of her bad moods. This class, she decided, was going to be a nightmare.

Once Erin reached the classroom, she knocked softly on the door and walked in. A strange sight met her eyes. For a moment she thought she had walked outside. There were trees, and a very blue sky overhead. Much too blue to be the cold, dreary winter sky that day. Plus the trees still had their leaves. Erin puzzled over this before taking a few more steps.

"Hello?" She called softly. Then she spotted the teacher and to her surprise saw that she was wearing shorts. That was when Erin realized that the room was a lot warmer than the hall. She slid her jacket off and draped it over one arm. "Hi, I'm Erin." She didn't look at the woman in front of her but continued to stair at the trees and the sky around her.
