More people were shouting now. Panic rippled through the room as people started to stumble, fall, and crawl out of their pod things. The noise wasn't helping her head in the least bit. In fact, her headache was quickly escalating into a full blown migraine. Great, just what she needed right now. She wished she could get out into the open. It'd be nice to smell something other than this damp basement. She also wanted to see the sky, but she was too disoriented to figure out how to get out.
She turned as someone shouted her name. A familiar looking boy half ran, half fell toward her. She saw him face plant, but he didn't seem to notice. Momentarily distracted from her panic attack, she tried to put a name to his face. He obviously knew her, and seemed to care about her. So why couldn't she figure out who he was? She was still pondering this question as he engulfed her in his arms. All right, they were at least friends, that was nice. What was his name, though?
Her question was answered sooner than she had expected. “Jeff?” She repeated, unsure of what to think. Her mind was sluggish and confused. One would think that if they knew each other his name would mean something to her. On the other hand, she didn't think he'd be hugging a stranger quite like this. Wait, sweetheart? That either meant he was an extremely touchy-feely brother, or her boyfriend. She looked up at his face. Maybe an adopted brother? She shook her head slightly, but quickly stopped as it was making her head hurt more.
Assuming this was her boyfriend, why couldn't she remember a thing about him? How long had they been together? What the hell was she going to tell him? Hey sweetie, yeah, turns out I have absolutely no memory of you. She got the feeling that wouldn't go over well. This, of course, raised the question of if he remembered anything. Maybe he'd know why they were there. And if not, he at least seemed a little more put together than she was. Erin tentatively returned his hug. Without thinking, her buried her face in his shirt. After a few strangled sobs, she regained control over herself again.
She tried to organize what she did remember, not wanting to forget that too. Her name: Erin Kale. That was something, at least. The school. Darbyville Academy, commonly referred to as Demon High. It was filled with vampires and people with special 'powers'. She had limited control over...weather? That would explain the claustrophobia setting in. Still, weather? Seemed a bit stupid to her. Other than that, she had no memory, which was starting to freak her out. She really hoped this was just an awful, stupid practical joke and that she'd remember everything in a few minutes, but somehow she didn't have much hope for that.
Jeff began nudging her gently toward the stair. Relief washed through her. There was an exit. She hadn't noticed it before. She started walking unsteady toward it when he started yelling at the only person who seemed to have any clue what was going on. She stepped slightly away from them both. Erin didn't want to make any enemies before she felt better. After accusing him of being the kidnapper, Jeff stared at his hand. She followed suit, wondering what he was doing. Did he have some sort of brain damage? That might have been why he had hugged her, which would mean she had nearly broken down in front of was was appearing to be a lunatic. Could this day get any worse?
Erin stared at the pocket knife in his hand, unsure of whether to laugh or be afraid. The thought of him protecting himself with that tiny blade was amusing to say the least. However, a possible lunatic with a knife wasn't exactly a reassuring thought. He also probably went to DA as well, which meant he had some sort of power. The more she thought about it, the more scared she become. Finally, just as yet another person start yelling, she turned and ran toward the steps.
Erin caught herself with her hand each time she tripped on the stairs. Her legs weren't working properly, but she had to get out of there. There was an alarm blaring as she climbed through a trap door into a storage room. Covering her ears with her hands, she ran through the door into a cafe and finally out into the street. She stood, shivering and crying, in an empty street at night. Staring up at the sky, she willed it to rain. Sure, it'd make her colder, but rain always made her feel better.
But something was wrong. Sure, she didn't always get it right, but this felt different. She tried again. Still nothing. She blew air out her mouth, trying to get a small breeze. Once again, she felt nothing. She swayed and fell over, still staring at the sky. Why wasn't this working? Erin let out a yell of frustration and punched the ground. “OK, ow!” Erin grabbed her now throbbing hand. Obviously the day could get worse.

First there was darkness. Then there was light and Cassidy was stumbling out of some kind of... pod thing. She blinked a few times against the bright lights before she looked around - it looked like she was on some kind of Star Trek medical set. Goody. There were other people around, and as her mind cleared it was evident that there were several things wrong with this picture.
One, she wasn't at the school. This was okay, there could be a perfectly logical explanation for that.
Two, she couldn't hear the thoughts of the people around her. Even if everyone in the room was adept at blocking their thoughts, there was still the faint psychic hum she could sense at all times. Again, could be explained by a psychic null or something. A little disconcerting, but not the end of the world. The silence might be a nice vacation.
The third thing was much more disconcerting. Judging by the evidence before her - the other people around, the pods, the weird track marks on her arms and the fact that she was now powerless and had a rather large gap in her memory - there was only one conclusion she could come to.
She'd been kidnapped. Again.
"Seriously?" she asked aloud, not really caring that everyone else could hear her. "What the crap is this? You'd think that after I became an adult I'd stop getting freaking kidnapped! How many more times is this going to happen before people get sick and tired of kidnapping me? Who's in charge of this rescue mission, anyway?"
She continued grumbling under her breath as she took in the rest of the room. One of the pods was just opening and out stumbled a rather familiar ginger-haired man.

Michael's head was pounding. A throbbing, pulsing headache the likes he'd never had. He knew his niece got horrendous headaches when she was away from his son - he didn't quite understand how the mind meld had happened - but he was lucky enough to just have regular, run of the mill headaches.
The first thing he did when he got out of the pod was that he sneezed. Nothing happened. No shrinking down to the size of a cat. No being covered in thick, ginger colored fur. No having his face smushed in.
It was a strange feeling, one that he liked before he realized what it meant.
It looked like he'd lost his powers.
Judging by how everyone else was acting, they'd lost their powers as well. Everyone seemed to look bewildered, except for one. His niece, his wonderful, calm, level-headed niece looked about ready to blow something up. With her powers, she probably could. It was a small miracle that she was now unable to.
"Cass?" he said, cautiously, approaching her. "Come on, let's just head back to the school and figure this out, huh?"

The tall blue boy felt extremely numb, he couldn't hear anything through his mind, nor feel any emotions coming from anyone. He touched things and couldn't feel anything. He couldn't hear near as much as he used to be able to. This caused his breathing to be rapid, as though in a panic. He didn't even know how much time had passed between when he had gone to get something to drink and now, but he knew it was some time, because the phase of the moon had changed. How many people would be scared for his life?
His powers had been integrated with his biology to such a degree, that to disable them would be like literally disengaging a large portion of his nervous system. Fortunately, he had not been physically disabled by what had happened. However, he felt extremely disoriented not being able to feel the types of aura's he expected from people. He tried to keep himself calm, but this was something he had never experienced.
Sol looked around the path to see who else was following the cop and the other students back to the school, and realized he had a girl leaning up against him. It turned out to be Jade Ferrington, who likewise seemed disoriented. She was crying for some reason, and he felt at a loss not knowing why. He seemed a bit aloof due to the fact that he wasn't able to feel any of the emotions around him. He held her up, because despite being at a loss of his mental abilities, he still remained physically fit. This was also underscored by a disorienting feeling, almost a light pain. He didn't know if it would go away or not. Perhaps it was a form of phantom limb, except with his ability? He didn't know, he just felt as though he was crippled in a way he never knew he could be, and the girl next to him seemed likewise disoriented and bewildered.
He could feel her hug him around the mid-section due to him being so much taller than she was. If he found out who had done whatever it was, he would going to make them feel the brunt of his frustration. Besides his loss of his ability to feel emotions or sense thoughts through touch, he knew they would be alright. He reassured himself in a whisper, that it would be alright. As he became more nervous, he felt the clasp of the nervous girl to his side. Who was so absorbed in her predicament that she had forgotten that she had a crush on the blue boy. She seemed to stare blankly forward as though lost and without will.

(I hope it's ok that I integrated some of their story together. it seemed logical considering they are walking together, and they are my characters)
Jade gripped onto the boy for her life as she searched her mind for some of the genetic materials stored there. She knew she should be able to find something, turn into something, but she couldn't will anything to happen. It was like walking through a mental museum of items she couldn't interact with as she normally would be able to. See the internal structures and DNA, it was as though she had been robbed and left with figurines. She began to cry, remembering the feeling of flying, would she ever be able to do that again?
Her body ached horribly, and all she could remember was the fact that she had wanted a drink before she woke up. What kind of cruel joke was this? Was evil really this necessary in the world to make it exist in such ways as to cause this kind of torment?
She stumbled over the cobblestone streets as she walked, only being held up by the rather tall Blue boy. Sol, despite his own stability seemed just as rattled. Jade tried to stop the crying, but the pain seemed to fill every part of her body, it hurt just to walk. It was as though she had been in a coma for a week. Where did the time go?
“I have to figure out where it all went,” Jade seemed to pout quietly to herself as the two walked. She held him tighter, as she thought more on the subject of what she had lost. It was more than time, more than experiences. She was used to being secure wherever she was. Living in Boston had taught her to be tough, but this, it left her feeling awkwardly vulnerable. At this thought of the loss of security, she held tighter around the Oman's waist. By now, she was pouring tears from her eyes in such quantity that she felt both dehydrated and unable to see. Fortunately, she knew the boy wasn't crying. He was too calm for the situation at hand. Perhaps it had something to do with him being an alien? Well versed in the sciences? She didn't know.
“I hope we figure this out,” she heard from Oman. It made her more unsure as to whether anything good would come of it. She just closed her eyes and trusted him to lead back to the school. She still tried to push herself to change anything, but she was too flustered to concentrate on much of anything. Even her breathing seemed labored because of this.

Almost on autopilot Nympha stumbled forward as the air hit her and her brain seemed to switch back on. She couldn't remember a thing. She had just been walking. Going for a walk round town then nothing. Nothing until now. She wrapped her arms round her self, shivering slightly. She couldn't feel her powers, normally when she was feeling like this when she was feeling so disorientated and confused she would be able to feel her body trying to shift. Now nothing.
A strange numbness crept over her, she couldn't access her powers. Any of them. She couldn't even change her appearance. She didn't know whether to mourn for the loss of her powers or be glad for it. She had never particularly been fond of her powers but she had never imagined losing them. She did even have her old security of changing her appearance now, she was suck like this for god knows how long. That scared her more then anything. At the moment she didn't even have it in her to consider what had actually happened in the gap in her memory.
She felt people walking past her but her feet seemed routed to the spot, her body seemed to have shut down, she was vaguely aware people were crying and making their way towards the exit, most supported by others. Nympha couldn't will herself to move though, not just yet. She lifted her head just enough to glance round, she noticed the tall intimidating figure of Oman leading Jade out and Jeff standing watching the others out. Three she knew and a considerable few others. Nympha didn't move to seek out anyone she knew though she just returned her gaze to the floor.
She had to get out of here. She had to get out to the fresh air again she felt like she was suffocating. She managed to pull herself up and take a step towards the exit, her movement was less then fluid but she had to get out of here. The space itself felt so confining, not to mention all the people.

As the pod opened Jin immediately felt herself come to, stepping out the pod with most of her usual demeanor. The last thing she remembered was being in town looking for Rohesia after she had been announced as missing. Then nothing. Not a thing. Just blackness. Though it wasn't the gap in her memory that worried the teacher most. No. It was the massive gap she felt in herself. She couldn't feel one speck of her magic, normally it was a vast presences one that almost seemed to surround her. Now nothing. She couldn't feel her other forms either, her senses seemed dull and human. Something Jin had never had the displeasure of knowing before.
Still she couldn't allow herself to panic. Luckily half of her training hadn't been focused on her powers. Her training allowed her to be calm for now, it allowed her to push aside her own worries. She could focus on those later. Now she had to help make sure everyone got out okay.
Still she was a teacher, even if she couldn't feel her magic. She gave a glance round, most of the students seemed to be making their way out okay, if not a little disorientated. There was one who wasn't though. A very familiar little blonde vampire who was standing there looking rather lost. To any that didn't know Jin her steps seemed rather steady and calm, to any that did they lacked her usual grace.
She clasped a hand on Rohesia's shoulder, “Come on lets get out of here and back to the school. Your brother will be worried.” She spoke her voice a note softer then usual after all it was hard not to notice Rohesia's disorientation and usually worry. Jin couldn't help but forget sometimes that despite her appearance Rohesia was still no more then a child in vampiric terms and when it came to certain situations she simply didn't know how to deal, after all she had been cages and withdrawn from society most of her life. With a gentle nudge Rohesia started moving Jin staying by her side as she took her back to the school.

A moan sounded from the floor as Jack regained consciousness. Slowly, she pushed off with one hand, rolling over onto her back. As she rolled, her hand came to rest on her chest, which suddenly jerked her to full awareness. Catapulting upright, Jack pulled her shirt up and felt at her chest, then yanked the shirt as far down as it would go. Her binding was missing. Normally she bound her chest down to help her look more like a boy. Had anyone seen? Her head flicked back and forth, but nobody else seemed to really be paying attention. Good.
Jack stood up, leaning back against what was once her pod. Her head turned as she got her bearings, then looked around for anyone that might be taking a bit longer to acclimate themselves. It seemed that everyone was in shock. Suddenly waking up in an odd place will do that, but Jack had been shocked out of shock by her own little problem. Everyone was being told to leave, and most people were managing to file their way towards what seemed to be an exit. Jack's first instinct was to run and get out, but she fought it down. Some people here still needed help. Looked like she wasn't the only person who noted this, either; several other students were assisting in the evacuation. Good show, good show.
Jack picked a student at random, a comparatively smallish girl who barely managed a faltering, jerky step toward the exit. Making as if to catch her, Jack straightened up and smiled at her, lowering the pitch of her voice just a bit, still trying to appear as much like a male as she possibly could. "C'mon. Gotta git outta heah." The alarms seemed to insist that they do so post-haste. Calmly, she held out a hand to the girl, offering herself in use as support, physically or otherwise. She didn't really mind either way.

Jessup stopped halfway up the hill towards the school, and glanced back. People for the most part were following him, but a few still hovered inside. They were probably still stunned. He needed to go back, and help them, but there were still people who needed to be taken back to the school. The alarm gave him a haunting feeling, and he needed to get the students into that tower and fast. His usual calm and collected exterior had melted away into concern and panic.
"Hrrrr, I will take them back; you go back there and help the others, hrrr..." spoke a lone werewolf. Jessup eyed him over once, and noted the honor in his eye. The wolf felt honored to be able to rescue the group.
"Alright; take them all back, and get the whole school into Ben's tower." he turned his head towards Treager, and called out. "Did you catch that? Get the whole school into Ben's tower. He knows where it is." Jessup patted the wolf on the shoulder, signalling a thanks, and turned back to the group. A few were hovering by their pods, and a few hadn't even left it yet. He walked over to the first one, and reached a hand in to wake the young girl on the roster known as "Angela Baker". She was a young vampire werewolf halfbreed, a rare occurrence. When the girl did not rouse, he felt for a pulse. After a moment, he stepped back, and pulled the pod lid closed.
"Rest in peace, child."
Next, the second pod, he recognized the student "Dakota Chaos". He was haunted by the ghost of his older brother, who could manipulate metal. It was the same story with him. He closed the glass on this one, as well, and spoke "Rest in peace, child." It burned in his soul to bury children in this fashion, but something told him they didn't have time.
Two more pods were closed like this; one containing a young telepath, a Kathryn Troxell, and the other held a poor young bird who could turn into a human - the poor little thing looked like swiss cheese from the human sized IVs that streched the skin as she lost her form.
"Kids;" he spoke out, turning to the dawdling group. "Unless we get you back to the school and to safety, I can't guarantee that you won't be one of the ones left in these pods like that. Come on; smarten up, and panic later. We need to go; NOW. You will be safe at the school, where your friends will want to see you. You all have been missing for over two weeks. Now, get out that door, and follow the group home."

Zeon awoke with a start, kind of feeling like he'd actually gotten a good nights sleep for once in his life, despite this one apparently being medically induced because he couldn't for the life of him remember where he parked his car and he didn't really care since things seemed to be growing increasingly more dramatic as his mind started to shake off whatever drugs had been used on him. There were any number of people who would want to do something like this to him but none of them would know it was him they wanted to do it to, or at least if they did, none of those people would dare less it not work.
As the world came into focus around him, he caught a look into the eyes what he was going to assume was their rescuer since he looked about to be assaulted by some overly panicked student that was being over excited by another even more panicked girl near him. At that point, he noticed something was wrong and knew what it was. He was missing something he'd never been without and he instantly understood what was wrong with the others to make the usually calm, if high strung, residents of his school so edgy. His prized power was gone and he wasn't even going to bother wasting the effort needed to check his other. All he needed to do was contain his rage at the audacity that someone would do something so unspeakable to him.
In the time it took him to stabilize, something he hadn't realized he'd been subconsciously augmenting with his powers since he was young, it seemed as though most of the people had already headed through the door out and the rescuer had returned, assumedly after leading the first wave of people out of here while he was lost in his emotions. He'd been laying still up until then and once he moved, he was thankful that he'd taken his time, otherwise he probably would have stumbled about like most of the others and he hated to look weak, particularly when he felt it.
Neatly climbing out of his pod, he stepped onto the floor and took a quick but good look around, looking for anything he could grab and have some sort of way of tracking down the blasphemous pricks that did this to him and stole his holy power, just in case he could never get back here. Revenge was one of his favorite hobbies, and if he wasn't going to have to be secretive about it, it was going to be reminiscent of his home town's end if he could manage it. No-one got away with slighting Zeon Arious in any way, shape or form and he was not about to change that fact.
With all the strength he had in him after his stasis, he planted a resounding kick against the side of his pod that held the iv that had been running to him and after a satisfying cracking sound, he grabbed the iv cable and ripped it out and with a look of defiance that didn't seem natural on his face, he calmly strode past the man checking the remains in the other pods and towards the exit, his souvenir in hand. The alarm that was going didn't sound like the kind that was left running for long and he was not going to take the time to find out what would cause this one to turn off. "It's time to leave I think, don't dawdle too much longer chief, there's work to be done and I don't like the sound of that alarm." And with that, he left to follow the rest that had already gone.

As everything else happened around him, Jeffrey closed his eyes, took a breath, and folded the knife back up before slipping it back into his pocket. "Okay. Okay. Bod'n'boltai, this is weird. This is weird, and I go to a school for superheroes, which makes this weirder than weird." Opening his eyes, the sorcerer looked around again. Erin was out, which was good. Everyone else seemed to be making their ways out of the facility. Wonderous.
A familiar face caught his eye. Something was off about her, something he couldn't quite place, but he remembered Nympha Rose. She was being gently led toward the stairs by some short guy. Cute little pair of midgets, when he thought about it, but that wasn't the issue at hand. Jeffrey hopped around some other late-waker to get to the two. "Well, hello there, short-stuff. 'Member me?" Last time they'd met, she'd been trying to sleep on the stairs, and he was trying to find out why she looked so dejected.
Which reminded him. He needed a cigarette. He hadn't had one in weeks, according to the guy he had accused of perpetrating this nonsense. If his knife was still where it should have been, then his cigs should still be in his cargo pocket, along with his lighter. Normally he didn't need one, but this was a unique situation. Taking both from the pocket, he applied one to the other, then gulped down a blissful lungful of smoke before setting the cancer hazard into the corner of his mouth and giving the little guy a hand. "Wow, bro. You're almost shorter than she is," he remarked offhand, uttering a quick, "Nevermind, sorry," when Jack glared at him in response.

Some seemed to be coping better with this then Nympha was. Truthfully Nympha wasn't really the coping type and for her losing her powers had set her in a real daze. She had lost her anonymity. That was her security blanket. The one reason she had first even been able to speak to people, if something went very wrong she could hide afterwards, hide in a new appearance. Even if things went okay she still normally hid her appearance to some degree, her hair and eyes changed on a daily bases. She couldn't do that any more and truthfully it was kind of setting her into panic mode. Not too mention she had never really gotten over what had happened during the summer.
As the boy, well what Nympha naturally assumed was a boy, told her they had to get out of her Nympha flinched a little. More out of natural reflex then anything. It took a moment for her to remember she didn't have her powers any more...She didn't have to worry about her body randomly changing shape any more if she made contact with someone. She looked at the guy, not that she had to look up much mind you, he wasn't the tallest of people, if Nympha had been a little more observant she might have noticed the slightly feminine nature about this 'boy' but truthfully Nympha was barely even aware of the alarm blaring in the back ground.
Shaking she took slight hold of the edge of Jacks shirt, mainly for some form of lead, only managing a few steps before someone she did recognize approached. Jeff. Him she knew. She was vaguely aware she had registered him when she had stumbled out of the pod. Though she couldn't quite be sure. As he said hello asking if she remembered him she gave a meek nod raising her eyes mumbling a barely audible “Hello.” Admittedly a strange place to be exchanging pleasantries. Her breathing seeming to get a little more strained as time passed. The claustrophobia was getting to her, she really needed to get out of here.
“W-we shou-ld p-probably get o-o-ut.” She stuttered Not even sure she could be heard above the blaring alarms still clutching on the the edge of Jack's shirt.
