Ash fell to the ground, underneath the loud crunch of size 13 boots. The leather heels were well-worn, with light scuff marks contrasting against the stygian color of Mark Jacobs. There was the rhythmic beat of the sway of dragon scales, and a muffled crackle of fiber glass in the butt of his filters. He had a vintage James Dean look, a visage of rebellion and morbid obsession. Slender fingers kissed his lips, and smoke escaped the corners. The cathartic shrug of each breath brought a feeling of firsts - first kiss, first wine, first taste of blood.
It was midnight, and the sky was blurred with overcast. The invisible moon shed no light and yet under the starless carpet, Erebus seemed to glow. A halo of white enveloped his towering, moving figure, but circling his head emanated a presence of evil, something Erebus could thank his sperm donor for. Hadeseus. He'd never interacted much with his "father", no less his "mother" as well. Both Rivenfael and Hadeseus were parents from Hell; literally. Having them in a family - a disjunct group of monsters - was both a gift and a curse.
What was leftover of the school's gymnasium had become something like a hideaway. The concave collapse of one corner of the gym had left a cave-like dwelling. Though Erebus had a strong dislike of foul, unkept appearances, he'd discovered he could no longer traipse around town as freely as before. Word had reached ear that the school had in possession a rule prohibiting vampires to feed on fellow citizens. He'd previous ignored this rule, though completely unintentionally until actually hearing of said rule. And yet as each day passed, Erebus found it harder and harder to quench his blood thirst. There were women who would fall at his feet, ready to give their blood to him freely, but it was the obsession of the afterwards that truly led Erebus off the edge. He found that staring in soulless, expressionless eyes was the most beautiful image imaginable. Only after death, could one see such pristine beauty.
Having smoked the clove to its filter, Erebus flicked the cigarette to the side and slowed his pace. Settling on a pile of wood, he fluffed his wings to shake loose a few dead scales. Pulling a near-empty pack from the front pocket of his washed, destroyed jeans, he lifted another filter to his lips and lit it with the flicker of a finger. Inhale, exhale. Casting the pack aside, he leaned backwards, raising his left arm above and behind his head and resting his back and wings on the tall pile behind him. He rest his outstretched legs on a makeshift footstool, and brought the filter once more to his lips. Inhale, exhale.
His eyelids fluttered, the irises and pupils hidden from plain view. He'd found no excuse to wear a shirt tonight, and rather fond of his own musculature, desired to show his sculpted torso. There was no one of high enough intellect among the humans in town. The next best thing after death was the clashing of minds. After himself, Erebus supposed the next genius-like persona was his sister, though she'd disappeared on some idiotic quest of her own, sans explanation.
Erebus' ears perked at a slight crackle behind him. Without lifting his head he opened his eyes and peered to the left, able to see in his peripheral vision, the opening behind him. Amidst the dark night and the white glow of his presence bore the red glint of his irises. Cold and calculating, he steered at the clearing, waiting for the presence to show itself. Slowly bringing his fingers to his lips, he inhaled and exhaled, eyes still fixated. Inhale, exhale.

It was late. Very late, her brother knew she was out at this time of night he would kill her. Ever since recent events her brother had become more protective then ever. She wasn't allowed out after dark. She was under strict orders not to be out of her brothers eyesight at any time and she was not to speak to anyone she didn't know. Even those she did know she was expected to treat with suspicion. Not that she had seen anyone she knew. She had mainly been cooped up her brother and Miss Hiragashi desperately trying to get her to remember anything. It was all very tiresome. She couldn't remember and her powers still hadn't come back. She didn't see what the big deal was. Sure of course she would have loved her powers back but she figured they would come back when they where meant to.
All in all even with the recent events Rohesia was very unphased. As always. She figured things would work themselves out in time. Most of the time they did. Even if the beautiful structure of the school had been destroyed very powerful people resided in the school. She was sure in no time at all it would be rebuilt. Her homeland had been rebuilt from worse then this.
In a strange way Rohesia found the destruction beautiful, the warped and twisted floor. The way the moon sifted through the dust that got knocked by the occasional student. It gave a strange aura to the school almost making it more magical then before. Well through Rohesia's eyes at least. Okay sure she wouldn't like it to stay this way all the time but it was nice for a little. For now though it was almost like seeing the school long after all the inhabitance had left and abandoned it. Like some old ancient ruin. All it needed now was some overgrowth.
Rohesia's feet where bare so she barely made a noise as she padded along the corridor, since she hadn't expected to be in anyone's company she hadn't exactly dressed for meeting anyone. Her long slender legs were bare just having on her black shorts, her top half covered by a black camisole top. Maybe she wasn't exactly dressed by the weather, considering it was almost mid-winter but cold never really bother her. She supposed it was only right it didn't.
It was rumours of the destruction in the gymnasium that had brought Rohesia there, she had heard the entire room had been warped. She couldn't wait to see it. Someone had beat her there though. Not that she could make out much of them, only the glint of the red eyes in the dim light. Now that might put some off. Nothing put Rohesia off speaking to someone new. “Hullo!” She said with all her usual enthusiasm, plus it had been so long since she had spoken to someone new. She knew she was breaking her brothers orders but she needed someone to break this boredom. “I didn't expect to see anyone up this late. Glad I have though, I was getting bored. I'm Rohesia Omnia.” Her usual grin on her face, her slightly sharpened incisors the only hint she was anything but human.
[[Not great hope its okay though.]]

By the time the little creature overtly made herself known, Erebus' scales were ruffled in impatience. He'd finished another cigarette, crushed it between his fingers, and lit another one. All that was left now, were remnants of tobacco leaves and the smoky scent of an empty box. He wasn't fond of waiting for people, and it was important to make the difference between for and on. He hated waiting for people, but never waited on people. Waiting on was for the scum. Point being, having discerned a presence before presence was made, Erebus had become impatient. In a world where ordinary humans moved at a snail pace, Erebus depended on speed.
Focusing on the nearing figure, his eyes narrowed in scrutiny. Aside from the dead, who only reappeared in Hell as shriveled, black shadows, he'd never seen such a small figure before. Having spent time around those who embodied beauty and brains, such as his sister Nyx and mother Rivenfael (and himself, of course), he was unaccustomed to such... low stature. There was a certain charm to her face, but nothing more. She was rather... plain and boring. Erebus flavored mature women, with large bosoms and shapely hips. He'd get lost in the miles of skin, slender limbs and docile muscles. If only he could sink his fangs into a woman now.
Sitting up straight and straddling the pile of wood, he turned his body to face the female. She seemed overly cheerful, and made a ruckus with her voice. He'd come to the deconstructed gymnasium for some silence and inwards gloating, and someone had to come along. It was rare for his silence to be interrupted, no less at night when the students seemed to jump at the slightest noises. Erebus was not privy to the secrets of the castle, or the "dark" going-ons that seemed to be plaguing the students, and yet he felt there was nothing wrong to his ignorance. There was nothing here of worth, nothing to tie him down, no emotional or material bonds. As if they could actually exist within his family. Erebus, Nyx, Hadeseus and Rivenfael were so successful in their hunts and strengths of power, due in part to their inability to bond with anyone. Strength lies in an individual, not a group. Or so Erebus believed.
Bringing the clove to his lips, he inhaled and exhaled. Smoke dissipated into the dark, his lips slightly opened for the exhale. His upper torso, naked, rippled as the wind brushed his dragon-scaled wings. "Hullo! I didn't expect to see anyone up this late. Glad I have though, I was getting bored. I'm Rohesia Omnia." Erebus flicked the cigarette to the ground and smirked. "There's an idiotic saying," he began, "that humans love to say." Standing, he stepped away and down from the debris to stand closer to the trespasser. Licking his lips he smiled, his incisors glinting in response to hers - he hadn't ignored the hint of sharpness of her teeth. As if to mock some sort of thought process, he brought a pale finger to his chin, tapped it few times and mimed the founding of an idea. "Ah. That's right. Curiosity killed the cat." His smile widened, and yet he had the look of a predator.
"I welcome you, Rohesia, to my humble abode", he said sarcastically. He waved an arm in reference to the wreck that once stood as a gymnasium. "My name's of no importance. Actually, it's of great importance. If I told you, I might have to kill you." At some point the smile had become painful to hold, and his face had once again returned to a still life monument - cold and emotionless.
((Don't worry! It was fine :] ))

Now if Rohesia had been the type to fall for anyone she might have for this male. She could see the sleek preditorial beauty of him, his carefully crafted features and form. His well tones torso, perfect skin and fascinating eyes. Rohesia had never fell for anyone though. It wasn't that she couldn't appreciate the beauty of someone just intense physical attraction or physical attraction of any kind Rohesia had never felt. She could understand though why women would probably fall at his feet though, she could understand why most humans offered themselves up to vampires for snacks. Several had to her own brother. A few males to her.
Though she knew by the standard of her race she was little special. She was slender and small where most females of her kind where tall and well formed. Curved. The most unusual thing about Rohesia though was her angelic appearance. There was actually very little preditorial about her, very little threatening. To most she came off as stupid and naive. She could live with that though, she could live with not being the perfect predator. She had all the intelligence her kind should have. More then most of her sisters and at time more then her brothers, not that she would ever admit that.
Rohesia was simple oblivious.
Her oblivious nature did have some advantages though. For example now, the sarcasm in the boys voice or the very obvious snipe at her was turned out. Her taking his words as simply words with little meaning behind them. “Humans always get things wrong though.” She said moving passed the boy hopping on the twisted deformed planks of wood. “Care killed the cat.” She spoke half to herself half the the male reciting the original. “I don't know why humans also feel the need to change things. Focusing on a particularly interestingly piece of warped wood. “Though they can be amusing.” She said chuckling to herself.
“Oh I'm not very easy to kill. Even if I am I don't think brother would be very happy.” She said actually turning to the male this time her usual smile on her face, nothing malicious or threatening behind her statement. Though she did thing the male strange for not telling her his name. He was either very self-obsessed or just a little bit strange. Rohesia preferred to think he was a just a little bit strange. “If you don't want to tell me your name that's okay.” She said with her usual smile. “I suppose it'll be a little strange not having anything to call you if we are having a conversation but I'm sure I'll think of something to call you.” Only holding gaze with him a second before turning it up to the pile of rubble and steel that had once been a ceiling.
“I wonder what went through here...” She muttered musing to herself guessing judging by the formation of the planks it must have been something liquid.

In the short time - as of this day - Erebus had spent on the surface of this planet, he'd only met three types of women. The first group consisted of the weak humans that inhabited the world; too soft-spoken to voice their opinions, and too demure to speak against anyone. They were the ones who always ran away, yet the ones who always tasted the best; There was nothing comparable to the taste of fear. The second group consisted of the beautiful, vain and materialistic humans, who saw Erebus as a way of gaining something. For some reason, these women always believed they'd become someone like Erebus. Blinded by their need for acceptance, they never quite understood that their surrender was really their call for death.
And then there was the third group, who consisted of only two known to Erebus. The beautiful, the deadly, the conniving, the knowledgeable. As much as he hated praising others, rather than himself, he had to admit Rivenfael and Nyx were quite the prestigious pair. Mother and daughter were deliciously witty. And if there were to be any in this third group of his, Erebus could only accept these two in it, although begrudgingly.
But strangely enough this young girl or Vampyre, whatever it may be, did not seem to fit in any of the three groupings. Cheerful, overly so, she had no facade, nor hidden agenda - that Erebus could tell. She seemed completely oblivious to the true dangers around her. Glaring at the noisy mess, he frowned. Red eyes flashed. "There would be no use in killing you. You're of no use to me." This was true, in a sense. He did not find her blood desirable, and killing her would do nothing to his social status in the world below. Unless there was any benefit to him, it was only a mess he currently had no desire to deal with.
"But humans. They live to service the needs of others." By others he really only meant himself and the like. They were mines of blood to feed on, nothing more. "To know such a weak race could inhabit such a world is unimaginable. Useless creatures." As if he'd smelled something rotten, a pained expression crossed his face. Aside from their blood, Erebus truly hated humans. They were never up to any good.
Erebus caught Rohesia's gaze, before her eyes moved onwards to the rubble. He was stumped as to her presence. Did she want something? Need something? It never came to mind that someone was just looking for someone to talk to, or for a way to pass the time. Erebus was so used to using others that it never donned on him, that not everyone was like him in this manner. "Whoever or whatever did this, left a scar. Not say the castle was pleasant to look at in the beginning, though." Running a hand through his dark hair, he ruffled his wings again. They were growing restless from underuse, and a muscle in the right continued to spasm. There was a small tinkle accompanying every spasm, as scales clashed on scales.
"I suppose I rather you call me by my true name, rather than something made up." Erebus was rather fond of his name. He'd heard of those regular, Biblical references such as John or David and the like, and found them dead borin. "Erebus. Do call me Erebus." He looked at her and grinned, tiny lines around his mouth creasing. But the lines around his eyes were smooth and untouched.

Rohesia had one simple motivation when it came to her motives behind anything. If it was fun then that was all she really cared about. She had little thought for the consequences of her actions, the potential trouble that her actions could have. Mainly because she had never got in such trouble that she had never been able to get out of. Or that she found worthy of changing her life style. Even recent events had little effect on her. Sure she had been a little shell shocked at the time but now she had pretty much gotten over it. Unlike most of the other students. They seemed almost like zombies. Barely aware of what was going on, lost in their own little worlds. It was kind of depressing really.
The ironic thing was half the students at this school moaned about their powers in the first place. Rohesia had loved her healing magic. It had given her the ability to help out others, given her strength and a stature in her home. Healing powers were extremely rare in her homeland, she knew they could have been of use. They had already been of small use at the school, she had helped Miss Hiragashi get Eran out of that coma. Without her powers she would have never met a friend like Eran. Still though she knew they would come back in time.
“Oh I don't know.” She said hopping to another plank of wood, glad she was lighter then the average person otherwise she would probably have to worry about the wood giving way . “Sure humans are a little stupid but their actually quite amusing.” Now it wasn't that Rohesia particularly didn't like humans but she just found them rather ignorant and stupid.
They where such young creature though, she could hardly blame them, their entire lifetime was barely a speck in time for her kind. “I don't suppose there is really much wrong with them inhabiting this world but I don't think they should rule it.” She said standing on her tiptoes trying to reach a particularly twisted piece of metal. “In my homeland humans would never be allowed to govern others.” She muttered giving up on reaching the twisted steel girder.
“Oh I don't know I quite like the destruction.” She said turning to the male. “I mean it makes the place so much more interesting.” Of course she wouldn't want it to be permanent.
Erebus, if she was right that was Greek. Or at least from a Greek myth. She loved myths, she knew most by heart. She moved a little closer so she was only a couple of inches from Erebus. She scanned him up and down for a second. “Erebus. It suits you I like it.” She said with a grin holding her gaze for a second before turning her back on him, moving back across the wood to examine more of the gymnasium trying to look down between the warped floor boards.

Erebus quickly dismissed her comment on humans. He felt strongly against them and nothing anyone else said would change his mind. There were many things he felt strongly against. If asked, the majority of his dislikes had no backing; he simply disliked things for the purpose of disliking. But for some, it was due to his vanity. Erebus believed in keeping appearances. His face was his pride, his body a temple. Beautiful things deserved praise; anything else could be ignored. And thus, Erebus could not stand anything even a hairline away from perfection.
Erebus was lucky enough, that his temple did not need much maintenance. Even with a gluttonous diet and lack of sleep, he was still able to maintain his physique. Quite literally born this way, Erebus had a warped understanding that everyone was born endowed with certain features. If you were lucky enough, you would be born beautiful. If not, forget any attention. Erebus did not quite understand the concept of change. His parents had been alive for centuries, and change had not made a dent in them. Change was not as constant as others believed.
Watching Rohesia reach for a piece of twisted metal he slightly amused at seeing such short arms reach for something surely out of grasp. What was the use in trying? "There's something about causing the ruin of someone. That destruction is quite beautiful." Smirking, Erebus recalled his last kill. Though it was weeks ago, he could never forget the lackluster gaze in the eyes of a fresh kill. He couldn't quite put it, but there was a type of innocence in the dead that Erebus desired.
"However, I draw no interest in material items. It's silly, how someone can develop bonds or ties with an object. This building, for example," Erebus waves his arm in reference to the rubble, "was rarely inhabited before. A useless dwelling then, and even more so now. Not to mention the mess is so unpleasant to look at." There was a small lie behind his words. A lie unknown to Erebus. Or rather, a lie he would never admit to. Though he called it useless, the fact that Erebus had countlessly returned to this site made him a hypocrite. But admittedly, the reason for his constant return was the solace he found in the ruins. He never imagine to be disturbed here.
Watching as she took a few steps towards him, he remained emotionless, mind absent of thought. Aside from the repeated alarm of intruder. He disliked such close proximities with uninvited persons. Previously, anyone who was ever able to get this close to Erebus either fell to prey, or was family. "As it should be. I wouldn't have a name that wouldn't suit me." Looking up at the moon, he sighed out of yearning. He missed the Underworld; perhaps a visit was in order. Looking back at Rohesia, he made a frustrated look as if rolling his eyes. "Aren't you out past your bedtime?" He asked sarcastically. "Wouldn't brother bear be worried?" He'd taken note of her earlier comment of her brother.
((ergh. sorry if this is hard to work with. roleplaying with Erebus drains all my creativity -_- ))
