WELCOME TO THE GARDEN STATE.

Hoboken, New Jersey is a large town bordering Jersey City and in perfect sight of Manhattan. It isn't an incredibly glamorous town-- this is Jersey we're talking about --though it is home to more than thirty five thousand people. The city is known for its nightlife (as well as its diversity) and being in short traveling distance to New York City and all that it has to offer, many of Hoboken's residents, particularly the younger ones, are exposed to worlds that teenagers in the midwest or even a suburb of Los Angeles would never see. It is, after all, New York. No place quite like it anywhere else.

Though anyone who has had the opportunity to explore New Jersey could say the same for New York's neighboring state. It has a personality in and of itself, and Hoboken is just as much a part of that as every other city and town inside its state line. Many of its inhabitants are simply living their lives, faring the streets of Hoboken and neighboring cities, though there's also those who are trying to make it big but perhaps can't afford to actually live in New York just yet. The city isn't known for offering good housing prices and if you're a starving artist or wannabe Broadway Baby, paychecks also are about as plentiful as a moderately priced apartment in the city that never sleeps.

Hoboken is diverse, its many buildings dwell every type of person you could imagine finding, and they all have their own, separate goals. Some are simply living day to day, while others are thirsting for a particular dream and won't stop to take a breath until they can grab hold of it.

The town is always buzzing and full of characters who are simply living just enough for the city.

WELCOME TO
* LIVING JUST ENOUGH (FOR THE CITY),

MISSION STATEMENT
living just enough for the city was made with roleplayers in mind, with the idea that one day people would be bringing their characters onto it and would be looking for somewhere to let their creativity flow (or flourish, or both!)
We remember when role playing was unstructured and free and everybody stayed on their computers all day making a million posts and having fun.
Role playing today isn't the same, it's evolved as all things must (and of course, this was for the better). We all like structure (especially the LFTC staff) though we also thrive on the freedom to create our own plots and lose ourselves in our characters.

living just enough for the city is here to bring back role playing. We want to make it fun and free and about you, not about cliques or anything else that may damage the experience.
We aren't against other boards- all of us belong to other sites as well -we're simply here to give everybody a place to bring their characters and plots.

The average roleplaying board dies out within a month or two of opening: we don't want to be that board!
We want to be the board that you can put your all into because you know that we'll never close until everybody is ready to.
Change is a good thing and we understand that not everybody likes to stick to the same place forever, but come join the family for a while!

This is a board for roleplayers, for everybody who wants to take role playing by the horns and go crazy with their creativity.

We're not here to create a huge member base and take over role playing....we want to make it over.

    * There are rules set for the site. We're a town based rpg that allows only mortal humans with no special 'powers'
    * We have subplots and canon characters, though originals are more the welcome. You won't be ignored or shunned. The majority of the site won't be canons anyway.
    * This is more or less an advanced rpg, meaning that we all tend to write longer posts rather than shorter ones, though every style of writing is welcome!
