The year is 2164. The past century has been devoted to the exploration of the universe, following the development of the starship, which allows us to travel great distances in space, and the ansible, which allows us to communicate with anyone in any place at any given time.

We've come far in that past century. Culture has evolved, technology has raced ahead, and we've even come in contact with a few other sentient races. A large portion of humanity has moved to another planet, which has been named "Earth II".

There are the sophisticated Aithnur, a psychic and highly advanced race, who are in alliance with humanity. There are also the savage Urth'kan, whom are the scourge of humanity, and whom pose a threat to the second Earth.

We've got colonies and businesses, military and mercenaries, all in a contorted galaxy that tries to go forward through time.
