Langley, USA, 2010
In March 2009, a new recreational drug was in wide use by society’s subculture. D-40, known as D or Dapplegrim to its users had been gaining popularity for the last few months, but was now in wide circulation. What was remarkable about this drug was its low price. It was also particularly easy to get hold of and the effects rivalled that of cocaine or heroin. Yet officials seemed to do nothing about it while activist groups petitioned for it to be reclassified or banned.

Why does the government do nothing? Why do the petitions of activist groups go unread? For now, we can only speculate.

A New Group of Digidestined…
A year after the defeat of MaloMyotismon, and the uniting of Digidestined world wide to defeat him, the Original Digidestined are being joined by a new group. All over the world a new group of Digidestined are receiving their Digivices and Digimon. With it comes great responsibility, both in the Real World and the Digital World. The Digidestined veterans have been working hard to help these new Digidestined with this new life, but obviously they can’t be everywhere at once. Will these new Digidestined keep on with the honored tradition of defending the Digital World from those who would destroy it? Or will they instead fall to the dark temptations that having a Digimon and a whole new world before them bring?

…An Unstable Digital World…
With MaloMyotismon gone, the Control Spires and Dark Rings and Spirals gone, and Holy Seeds replacing the Holy Stones destroyed by BlackWarGreymon, one would think the Digital World would return to stability. Sadly, recently there has been a wave of random Digimon attacks, many caused by rampaging Digimon. Some believe, however, there may be a darker force behind these attacks as some Digimon have escaped to the Real World to cause destruction as well. Whatever the cause of it, one thing is clear; the Digidestined, Old and New, must step forth to protect innocent Digimon everywhere.

…And Mysterious Callings From the Dark
There are Digidestined that have been plagued with darkness and negative feelings of doubt, worthlessness, anger, rage, and more. Many have succeeded in overcoming these feelings, but recently something is happening. When they’re alone, a strange calling has come out to them, drawing upon their inner doubts and feelings. It isn’t known where this calling is coming from or what it means, but it plagues their minds and dreams at night. When with friends, however, it disappears to the shadows, but lurking ever more. They fight it, but it is still there….

Will the new Digidestined be able to overcome the challenges and the darkness looming in the shadows of their minds? Or will they succumb to….

The Darkness Within?
