The year is 1524; King Henry VIII is young and full of life fond of sports, dancing and music. Yet he lacks one thing: a son and heir. He has begun to tire of his loyal wife, Katherine and his attentions have been caught by two cousins: Anne Boleyn and Kathryn Howard. But just as the two return to court after a long and lonely summer, the Queen reveals news which could change everything.

September, 1524

The last warm summer sunshine has begun to fade as autumn approaches. Ladies at court have begun ordering new, more fashionable cloaks and muffs; men go on hunting expeditions and participate in sport with a new vengeance before cold weather approaches. Leaves begin to chance color, and the fresh foods of summer give way to apples and salted meats.
