What you need to know about our vampires:
Do they come from a certain source?
It is uncertain if Sabine was the first, but she is certainly the oldest that is known. Most vampires would be considered from her line, but their sire is their source.
Can sunlight kill them?
Yes. Ouchie. Stick to the shadows.
Can crucifixes and other holy items affect them?
Yes, to an extent. Holy water will burn them but only if it has been faithfully blessed. Likewise with crosses. If held in true faith, the symbol will repel them.
What are the ways you can kill a normal vampire?
Decapitation, sun light or a wooden stake through the heart. Though I imagine if you blew him/her up that would also kill them. A word of advice though, I’d make sure the head was removed from the body and the ashes scattered with salt.
Silver bullets?
That's a werewolf thing.
Running Water?
What about it? A clean vampire will bath quite often. 
Do they need permission to enter a dwelling?
Nope. Not unless you’ve managed to meet a vampire with manners.
Can you be cured of vampirism?
No.
How does one turn?
The sire vampire must drain the victim of almost all the blood, then allow said victim to drink from itself. The victim must drink from the blood of its maker to change.
If you do turn?
You will experience a mortal death and then be reborn with the dark gift. You are then subject to all the laws that govern your kinds survival.
As a vampire do you eat food?
They can indgest the food and drink of mortals, but it holds no joy and gives no sustanance. They must have blood to live.
Animal blood?
Yes. A vampire can survive on the blood of animals, though most do not choose this existance.
What happens if you are a vampire and your sire is killed?
Nothing. Its not an umbilical cord.
Can they shape shift? Turn into mist or fog? Hypnotize you?
Only Vampires of some age and power or those under the protection of another powerful sire can shape shift. Most have to content themselves with the form in which they died. (Talk to an admin if you wish to create a vampire with this ability.)
How strong are they?
Their sences are heightened and become more so the longer they survive. Their strength is greater and likewise grows with age.
Can they fly?
Do you see a big red S on the front of their chest? No? then there you have it, they can not fly.
Leap tall buildings in a single bound?
Guys, you’re thinking about Spiderman aren’t you? That’d be a no, they can not do this. Though they are incredibly agile and fast.
Faster then a speeding bullet?
No. shooting them might slow them down but in the end you’re just prolonging the time frame you have to live. They are fast folks but not faster then the human eye can see but definitely faster then a human can react to.
Are they telepathic
To an extent. They can read each others thoughts and communicate that way. They can also read human thought when the person is relaxed and unaware of things around them, like day dreaming. But lets not go overboard with that. You can't RP thoughts into someone else's head, work it out in a plot.
Can they have children?
No. Duh they're dead
Have sex?
You betcha.
Sexual preference?
Most vampires are tri-sexual as in they’ll try anything and if they like it they’ll try it again….all kidding aside folks, the sexual orientation of your vampire is totally up to you.
Can a vampire turn a human into a vamp?
Only those with some age can give the dark gift. It takes a lot out of the sire to create another. *You must have permission to turn someone.
What about Dracula?
He makes for a nice bedtime story kiddies but he doesn't exist. Least not in this plot. His atrocities as a human made him into a legend which in turn gave birth to the myth.
How old are the vampires on this board?
Depends on you. Lets not go beyond 2000 years though.
