taped from Orlando, FL

Hosts are Bob Caudle and David Crockett

1. Yukon Eric submits Joel Deaton with the KODIAK KRUNCH
Eric just manhandled his opponent. He got Deaton into a full nelson right off the bat and then switched it over to a bear hug. Eric then lifted Deaton onto his shoulders and got the submission victory with the Kodiak Krunch. The announcers were really putting Eric over for his competitive match with Harley Race during the NWA World Title Tournament.

Lee Marshall is backstage. The NWA is coming to Toledo, OH. As he mentioned last week. Jushin Liger vs. Stan Lane is on the card. But there are many more great matches like Don Muraco vs. Al Snow, the Killer Bees vs. the Valiants, Rob Van Dam vs. Larry Sharpe and the main event of Mil Mascaras vs. Masked Superstar. Joining him now is none other than Al Snow. Al Snow asks Marshall to hold Head for him. Snow says that he's making a big push to be included in the upcoming NWA United States Title Tournament. He feels that beating an opponent the calibur of Don Muraco will give him a really good case for being in the mix.

2. Steve Corino pinned Doug Vines with the OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION
Corino made short work of his opponent here as he hit a Northern Lights Suplex and followed it up with the Old School Expulsion to get the win.

King Kong Bundy and Bobby Heenan are backstage with Lee Marshall. Bundy wants to know who this S.D. Jones punk is. No one calls out the Heenan Family. And no one calls out King Kong Bundy. He wants Jim Crockett to sign the match. He wants to face this S.D. Jones guy.

3. Ox Baker pinned Gene Ligon with a neckbreaker
Baker just destroyed Ligon throughout this match. He hit several knee drops to the head and a big clothesline. Baker finished his opponent off with a neckbreaker. The announcers spent most of the match discussing how big an addition the Dream Team will be for the House of Humperdink.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan is backstage with Lee Marshall. Duggan rips on Adrian Street for dressing like a woman. Duggan doesn't think he should be hitting a woman. Duggan thinks that maybe Adrian Street should try the women's division instead of facing him on next week's episode of World Championship Wrestling.

4. Koko B. Ware pinned Tommy Angel with the Ghostbuster
Ware hit most of his signature moves on Angel during the match. He nailed the Ghostbuster and got the 1...2...3.

NWA Worldwide #3: 08/22/09

from Orlando, FL

Hosts are Jim Ross and Bob Caudle

Bobby Heenan is out with NWA World Tag Team Champions the Hennigs. Later today on World Championship Wrestling they'll be announcing the team that gets the first shot at the titles. Curt interjects. He runs down the Road Warriors as being brainless brutes, he says the New Age Outlaws are overrated. And the Russians... well, this is America. He'll be dead in the ground before he sees a couple of Commies holding the NWA Tag Team Titles.

1. Midnight Express d. Randy Barber and Joshua Stroud when Condrey pins Barber with the FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP
Really quick and dominating win for the Midnight Express this week.

Jim Cornette stops by the announce table ranting and raving. He says the Hennigs have a lot of nerve ignoring his boys earlier today. They're the top contenders, they're better than all of those other teams. They won't take getting snubbed lightly.

2. Konnan submits Mark Hill with the TEQUILA SUNRISE
Another quick match as Konnan gets Hill to the mat and submits him.

Konnan grabs the house mic. Tonight he and Buff Bagwell are going to face the Sheik and Sabu. He wants to rid the NWA of a brute like the Sheik.

3. Masked Superstar pins Lee Ramsey with the SPINNING NECKBREAKER
Another short bout this week. Superstar applies a sleeper and then hits his patented Spinning Neckbreaker to get the win.

Sir Oliver Humperdink and One Man Gang are out. OMG says that he's going to show the world that he's the king of the giants tonight on World Championship Wrestling. He's the toughest man in the NWA and it'll only be a matter of time until he wins the World Heavyweight Champion.

4. Danny Hodge pins Rocky King with the OKLAHOMA SIDE ROLL
Hodge used a variety of submission holds to wear King down. He locked on an abdominal stretch and almost had the win. But finally hit his patented pinning combination to get the win.

Danny Hodge by the announce table. Ross asks him what he thinks about facing the winner of the Stan Lane/Jushin Liger match. Hodge thinks both men have their strengths and weaknesses. Hodge thinks Liger has an advantage in the match but Jim Cornette might help steal a win for Lane. Hodge looks forward to making the first defense of his championship belt though. He'll also be sitting ringside in Toledo, OH so he can scout the winner of the Liger/Lane match.

5. Antonina Rocca submits Tommy Angel with the ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER
Rocca wins the bout in relatively easy fashion.

Diamond Dallas Page is backstage with Lee Marshall. He reveals that he's the one that laid out the Mountie last week. He explains that the Mountie can expect more of the same until he agrees to a rematch.

6. The Mongols d. Paul Garner and Mike Simone when Geeto pins Simone with a lunging double throat chop
The Mongols seemed more interested in causing damage than actually winning the match. Geeto finally ended the slaughter when he pinned Simone after a brutal double throat chop.

NWA World Championship Wrestling #3: 08/22/09

airing on WTBS

from Atlanta, GA

Hosts are Tony Schiavone and David Crockett

NWA World Heavyweight Champion Johnny Valentine starts the show this week. He tells Gorgeous George to bring it. The Beautiful People don't worry him. He'll take them all on. There's no rest for the champion though. After he defends against Gorgeous George he'll need to start preparing for Antonio Inoki. He mentions that Inoki has stated that he's going to help out against the Beautiful People.

1. Masked Superstar d. Koko B. Ware by count out.
Ware got off to a quick start in this match. He got a two count off a roll up after smashing Superstar into the corner. Superstar got control and things spilled to the outside. Superstar and Ware brawled wildly outside of the ring until Superstar smashed Ware into the guard rail and then slipped into the ring to steal a count out victory. Decent opener for this show. It was nothing special but it was a fun little match. **

Bobby Heenan and NWA World Tag Team Champions the Hennigs come out for an interview. Heenan pulls a contract out of a envelope and states that the Hennigs will defend the titles against Billy Lyons and Dewey Robertson on next week's episode of World Championship Wrestling.

2. the Ortons d. the Vachons when Jr. pins Mad Dog with the SUPERPLEX
Mad Dog and Butcher had Sr. in trouble early in this match. They double teamed him in the corner and looked to have victory close in hand. Jr. tagged in and cleared the ring and then hit the Superplex on Mad Dog to get the win. Great tag team bout this week. Good back and forth action. ***

Road Warriors and Paul Ellering are out. Hawk says that they're disappointed and a little mad that they didn't get the first shot at the tag team titles. But they're not too worried. It just means that they have to leave more bodies in the path of devastation that they're going to weave in the NWA. Animal says that one day soon they'll be the NWA World Tag Team Champions.

3. Adrian Street pinned Hacksaw Jim Duggan with the CRUCIFIX
Street had issues early on with the raw power of Duggan. He got hit with a clothesline and a big scoop slam. Street managed to gather his wits and used his speed to get Duggan off balance. Miss. Linda got involved to distract Duggan and Street rolled him up with a Crucifix to get the three count. Solid bout for these two guys. Street really carried Duggan to a solid back and forth match. **1/2

Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff storm onto the set. Koloff says that this is discrimination against them for being Russian. Koloff points out what Curt Hennig said about them earlier on Worldwide. He thinks Curt should be fined and his belt should be taken away. Koloff says that the Hennigs fear them because deep down they know the Russian athlete is superior.

4. the Sheik and Sabu d. Buff Bagwell and Konnan when Sabu submits Bagwell with the CAMEL CLUTCH
This was a short bout. The Sheik ravaged Bagwell with a fork that he hid in his trunks. Sabu tagged in and used the chance to get a submission on the very injured Bagwell. Pretty bad match, it was all about the storyline. DUD

Sabu nails Konnan off the apron. The Sheik grabs his fork and continues to destroy Bagwell's face with it. An army of refs come out but the Sheik and Sabu fight them all off. Jim and Mac Jeffers, Rocky King and Gene Ligon try to come out for the save but they all get tossed out of the ring. Sabu knocks Konnan off the apron again. The Sheik waits for Bagwell to get up and then hits him with the FIREBALL to the horror of the crowd. Schiavone makes them go to commercial break as Bagwell is in total agony in the ring.

The show goes to a rerun of Seinfeld before coming back. Schaivone explains that it took a police force to remove the Sheik and Sabu from the ring and that Bagwell needed extensive medical treatment. He promises that they'll keep the fans posted on Bagwell's condition.

5. Bruiser Brody vs. Jimmy Snuka - Double DQ
This was just a wild brawl that went all over the building. They even brawled in the crowd for awhile. The referee finally had enough of this act and DQed both men for their reckless behavior. Should be an interesting rematch between these two. 3/4*

Konnan is backstage with Bob Caudle. Konnan seems pretty shaken up. He apologizes for not being able to help out Bagwell. He vows to get revenge on the Sheik and Sabu for what they've done.

6. Main Event:
Giant Baba pinned One Man Gang with the NECKBREAKER DROP

Baba came out strong and brutalized OMG with a series of Baba Chops. OMG and Baba went back and forth as the match progressed. People were stunned at how easily the OMG lifted Baba for scoop slams. Baba finally got the upper hand with a Russian Legsweep and then hit his patented Neckbreaker Drop for the win. Really good main event this week. The action was hard hitting and both men really went all out. ***1/4

Ox Baker, Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine rush the ring. Baba tosses Beefcake to the outside and fights off Baker and Valentine with a series of chops. OMG recovers and Baba just barely escapes by diving through the ropes. OMG talks trash to the retreating Baba as the show ends.

NWA Worldwide #5: 09/05/2009

from Orlando, FL

Hosts are Jim Ross and Bob Caudle

NWA United States Champion Rob Van Dam is out for an interview. Just as RVD begins to speak he's interrupted by Ed "Strangler" Lewis and John Pesek. Lewis explains to the crowd that he passed on the United States Title Tournament to stay fresh. Now that it's all over he wants a shot at the title. RVD cuts him off and says that Lewis hasn't earned the shot. Lewis accuses RVD of being afraid of him. RVD laughs at Lewis for saying that. RVD wants Lewis to give him a reason to accept the challenge. Lewis sucker punches RVD right in the face. Lewis and Pesek put the boots to RVD and Pesek drags him down to ringside and rolls him into the ring. Pesek slams RVD to the mat and Lewis applies the Strangler's Headlock until security comes out and breaks it up.

Bobo Brazil pins Charlie Fulton with the COCO BUTT
Brazil showed off his strength by tossing Fulton around like a rag doll. Bobo used the Bobo body slam. Bobo applied a bear hug and then took his opponent down with the Coco Butt.

Diamond Dallas Page is out for an interview. He's finally going to get a chance for revenge against the Mountie. He promises that the Mountie will feel the Bang!

Road Warriors d. the Mulkeys when Animal pins Bill with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE
This was absolute domination on the part of the Road Warriors. Hawk hit a running clothesline on Randy and then they ran over Bill with a double clothesline. The Doomsday Device finished it.

The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering stop by the announce table for an interview. Hawk goes off about how they're being overlooked for a title shot. Ellering says that the Road Warriors won't take this sitting down. His team will continue to destroy their opponents until the NWA is forced to give them a shot at the titles.

Killer Bees d. Doug Vines and Paul Garner when Blair submits Garner with the SLEEPER
The Bees showed off a lot during this match. Thye hit a lot of their high flying offense. The end came when Blair locked on the Sleeper and earned the submission victory.

NWA World Tag Team Champions the Hennigs and Bobby Heenan are out for an interview. Curt blames referee Tommy Young for last week's defeat. Lyons and Robertson are overrating their performance in that match. The rematch will be a completely different story. Larry agrees and says that he'll pound both men into the dirt. Heenan promises that the Hennigs will be holding the NWA World Tag Team Titles for a really long time.

Konnan pins Tony Russo with a sit out face buster
Konnan came out of the gate a little slow here. Russo caught him with a series of arm drags. Russo gave Konnan a big scoop slam. Russo went for a suplex but Konnan countered it. Konnan hit the sit out face buster and got the pin.

Konnan stops by the announce table for an interview. He's disappointed that he came up short against Rob Van Dam in the final of the tournament. He still got really far in the tournament and no one expected that. He did it for Buff and that gave him the extra motivation. Now he's going to use the momentum to take out the Sheik.

the Sandman pins Brady Boone with the HARDCORE DDT
The Sandman spent the entire match beating on Boone with fists. The Sandman nailed him with the Singapore Cane and then caught him with the Hardcore DDT.

Jim Ross and Bob Caudle discuss the upcoming United States Tag Team Title Tournament. The following teams are confirmed for the tournament:

Killer Bees
the Valiants

Fritz Von Goering and Maurice Tillet

Main Event:

Bockwinkel worked an armbar for most of the match. Bockwinkel finally kicked the pace up a notch and hit a back suplex and a piledriver and then locked on the Bockwinkel Sleeper for the win.

NWA World Championship Wrestling #5: 09/05/2009

airing on WTBS

from Atlanta, GA

Hosts are Tony Schiavone and David Crockett

Ed "Strangler" Lewis and John Pesek come out for an interview. Lewis says that what they did to RVD on Worldwide was a statement. It's a statement to the fact that they are going to do whatever it takes to wear championship belts in the NWA. If that means they have to injure their opponents then so be it. Pesek chimes in. He's going to put on a little wrestling clinic to start off this week's show.

John Pesek pins the Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant with a waistlock slam
Valiant kept Pesek off balance early with his roughneck style. Valiant hit a running elbow smash and then some big roundhouse punches. Valiant tossed Pesek to the outside and worked his arm over on the ring post. Back into the ring as Valiant nails Pesek with another big fist. Pesek manages to escape a choke from Valiant and grinds a series of forearms into Valiant's face. Pesek wore Valiant down with a body triangle and crossface. The ending came when Pesek hit a big waistlock slam and got the pinfall victory. ** for a decent opener this week.

Masked Superstar and Bobby Heenan come out for an interview. Masked Superstar is planning to get a little revenge against Mil Mascaras for his recent loss. He's going to show everyone that he's the best masked wrestler in the NWA. Heenan chimes in and says that tonight will prove that Billy Lyons and Dewey Robertson are not in the same league as the Hennigs.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan d. Maurice Tillet by DQ
Duggan hit a Flying Spear early into the match but Tillet got a foot on the ropes. Things spilled to the outside and both men brawled around the ring and into the crowd. Things finally got back into the ring where Tillet smashed Duggan in the head with a chair and drew the DQ call from the ref. 3/4*, not much of a match.

Maurice Tillet applies the Bear Hug to Duggan while Fritz Von Goering runs down to the ring. Tillet keeps the Bear Hug on while Goering pounds away at Duggan. Tillet breaks the hold and Duggan falls to the mat. Both men put the boots to Duggan until Koko B. Ware, George South and S.D. Jones run in for the save.

New Age Outlaws d. the Dream Team when Road Dogg pins Valentine with the PUMP HANDLE SLAM
Dogg missed a corner charge and Valentine quickly took him down and applied the Figure Four Leglock. Gunn came in and made the save. Valentine went for a body slam but Dogg managed to escape the hold. Dogg hit the Shake, Rattle and Roll Knee Drop and then hit the Pump Handle Slam to get the pinfall. Big win for the NAO here as they needed to make an impact in the tag team division. *1/2, really fast paced and short match.

NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Danny Hodge is out for an interview. He's working and training really hard for his match with Jushin Liger at Halloween Havoc. He's spending 10 hrs. a day at the gym and training like he's never trained before. He's really in shape. He's stronger and faster than he's ever been before. He wants to retain his championship really bad. He wants to hold this championship belt for a really long time.

Missing Link pins Pepper Gomez with the BACK FLYING HEADBUTT
Missing Link brutalized Gomez during this match. Link busted him open with a wild chair shot to the head. Link tossed Gomez to the outside and choked him with the camera cords. Link drug Gomez over and smashed his head into the announce table. Back into the ring as Link hits an atomic drop and then finishes Gomez off with the Back Flying Headbutt. **3/4, for a decent match.

The Sheik and Abdullah Farouk are out for an interview. Farouk brags about how his man the Sheik injured Buff Bagwell. As Farouk continues, Konnan suddenly storms the set. He catches the Sheik with a big right hand. Konnan pounds on the Sheik and tosses him into the ring. Konnan catches him with a sommersault lariat and then hits a dropkick. Konnan clotheslines the Sheik out of the ring. Konnan climbs to the outside and chases the Sheik and Abdullah Farouk to the backstage area.

Johnny Valentine pins Johnny Rodz with the ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER
Rodz took control early with some big roundhouse rights and the Unpredictable Slam. Valentine bailed to the outside and gained the advantage by slamming Rodz's face right into the apron. Back in the ring as Valentine uses several forearm bludgeon and then an abdominal stretch. Valentine finished things off with the Atomic Skullcrusher. 1/2*. A really quick squash match that was nothing to write home about.

Gorgeous George, Buddy Rose and Adrian Street attack after the match ends. Street controls Valentine with a full nelson while George and Rose pummel him with forearms and fists. George grabs Valentine and slams him to the mat. Rose climbs to the top rope and his the Bombs Away knee drop. They put the boots to Valentine for awhile until George waves everyone off. He applies the Spinning Toe Hold to Valentine. Suddenly Antonio Inoki jumps into the ring. Street charges but Inoki tosses him to the outside. Inoki ducks a clothesline from Rose and hits the Enzugiri. Inoki hits George with a dropkick and knocks him out of the ring. Street catches Inoki from behind with a forearm. Street backs Inoki into the ropes and beats on him with forearms and fists. Street lifts Inoki into a fireman's carry and then drops him throat first onto the top rope. Street goes to apply the London Bridge Leglock but a recovered Valentine catches him with a forearm and then tosses him to the outside.

Main Event:
Masked Superstar and the Hennigs d. Mil Mascaras, Billy Lyons and Dewey Robertson when Curt Hennig pins Lyons with a standing dropkick

Lyons and Robertson gave Larry Hennig fits with their superior speed. They kept him off his feet. Larry managed to tag in Curt. Curt hit a running knee lift on Lyons and then finished him off with a standing dropkick. **, pretty by the book six man tag.

The Killer Bees roll into the ring as soon as the bell rings. They help Mil Mascaras and Dewey Robertson keep Masked Superstar and the Hennigs at bay as the show fades to black.

Next week:

Main Event:
Antonio Inoki vs. Adrian Street

Bobo Brazil vs. Bob Orton Sr.
the Valiants vs. the Armstrongs
