Team listing explanation, Why I did this.

Now, many of you may think this is stupid, and rather mean. However, in combination with the Same 6 Rule, this makes the tournament as level of a playing field as possible.

This allows newer players (And those of you legit people that don't use AR or Pokesav for ANYTHING, or have a buddy whom does for you) that don't have the selection of pokes to stay on the same level as the rest of you vets. If you have 4 boxes of pokes to wade through thinking how to counter a team, that's not fair to the guy who only has 9 pokes he can use. The fight is over before it began.

Also: if they WEREN'T posted, there would be no way to enforce the rule to make sure people are staying honest. If somebody loses to a pokemon that is not listed, or used a move that was not listed, report him/her and s/he will be Disqualified. The listing is to keep everyone in check since we cannot spectate the matches.

Think about it this way: You play in the NHL. The playoffs start, you know who you're fighting. You know who they have on their team, and the style of Hockey they play. You know what all their players can do and they know all the same information that you do. The true skill is not what you have at your disposal, but how you utilize your disposal to overcome another.
In fact, by revealing the "secrets" of a team, it actually brings MORE tactics into the game, as then both players expect to expect something that the other normally wouldn't expect. Aha! Tricky.

In short: The listing and the rule is there to HELP YOU. I hope you took the time to read this.

Where exactly do we post our teams, do u just want us to msg u and then when u have all the teams u will post it?

Bc if its one at a time ppl might change their team b4 their post bc there opponent posted 1st. (I'm talking about the very 1st match bc after that u cant use this to your advantage)

You message Xerxes your team, also, the system is built on Honesty, the best way to prevent cheaters is to video the battle or at least lie to them you can =P

Good thinking. That's why I get a PM, so when everyone is set, all come up at the same time and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Second: I just posted a list of who I have and who I don't have. There are currently 20 names on the list. Meaning I need 44 names.

The sooner I have the names and everyone signs up, the sooner we can start the tournament. It's all up to you guys

When is the deadline for our teams to be turned in?

This seems to be a common question. Originally I set none and expected teams within a few days.

However I only have around 25 teams so far, and many people are quite anxious. For the sake of the majority of the tournament, it would be appreciated if you could get it in before Friday, as the weekend will be full of free time to battle.

The sooner the better though really.

It wsa going to be Pokes names and movesets but no items listed. However now, I'll just post Poke names. No moves or items.

Is that more acceptable for people?

i think you should post another vid on youtube specifically telling viewers to pm you with their team on the due date also some consequences if there not in by thursday

wait a sec so not only will you know our team but our opponents aswell... well if that is the case i dont agree and belive u should jsut know the teams... becuz the game goes from strat to just prediction otehr wise =/

Well i personaly support this new rule it makes it more intresting not knowing oponents moves.

I sent out like 40 emails to those I haven't gotten names from so they would specifically get the message. I'm still looking for 25-30 though I think.

Just a note: The brackets I listed are just like that for the form, so that when I get the final 5-8 teams I need I don't gotta do it all at once, it will allow us to start *looks at watch to see how much time I saved...* an hour earlier or so.

When the final bracket is up, there will be a new vid up as well and some of you will be re-ordered to a new bracket. Just watch out for it if you don't see your name where you thought you would.
