Have to hand it to them they are bloody brilliant..

I was heading up the N7 last night, 3.40am (or4.40am)
.... Anyway

I'm sauntering along listening to re-runs on Radio 1 and up ahead 'FLASH'

What the...?

There was a giant road sign with the flashing yellow message and hidden just in front.... GATZO VAN !!!

They got the poor sap in front of me, had he not been there,
2 points for Al and a fine...!!

But respect to these guys they must have brain storming sessions because they are just so innovative.

Wait till the privateers start running the mobile cameras. You will look back on the good old days of the gardai running it with fondness. The contractor will be revenue driven. It will be like the Uk where they park just inside speed zone changes etc etc. Mind you with the halfwits in DCC implementing new speed limits in the city rolleyes.gif you will be better on a bike.

Everything in this sad little country of ours is money driven in some way..
the really sad thing is that most of us just can't afford to pay these silly fines.

I have no quip with speed laws being inforced on dangerous roads, or accident black spots.. that really does save lives... probably mine !!

But this horrid, sneeky way of getting motorists on a motorway with a 80kpm limit is just rediculous.
Ok the N7 is not officially a motorway but it is 3 lanes, straight clear road.
Unlike the Navan to Slane road with a 100kpm limit, noting but twists and bends.

Ah.... I see what you mean Greg,

They have several different coloured vans now so beware,
They are all Transits, all hi-roof..

Saw a red 10-D this morning....

Seems like the privateers are now a reality.
