The new FAQ has given me options to look at for my tournament list. I have rewritten my list to add in more terminators and a Vindicator at the cost of a dreadnought with pod and the attack bikes.
Marshal with PoLC, Iron Halo, Terminator Honours, Frag grenades 150 points
E.C with Accept Vow 140 points
5 Assault Terminators (3 PoLC/2 TH&SS) with Furious Charge 215 points LRC with Smoke 268 points
5 Terminators with 2 CML and Tank Hunters 265 points
7 Initiates, 2 Neophytes with Power Fist and Melta Gun Rhino with EA and Smoke 215 points
7 Initiates, 2 Neophytes with Power Fist and Melta Gun Rhino with EA and Smoke 215 points
7 Initiates, 2 Neophytes with Power Fist and Melta Gun Rhino with EA and Smoke 215 points
Vindicator with PotMS 160
Total points = 1843
I could add a chain fist into the Terminator squad for more tank hunting goodness.
Thoughts?

The only thing I would say is that it lacks in numbers, not that I think its something you need to address. Any chance you can give it some play testing before the tournament?

I had a game today against a Khorne based army with a unit of plague marines. The game was a good one, ending in a draw at the bottom the 5th turn. We did play for 2 more turns as a "what if" and I was able to finish him off. So over all I am happy with the list. The Vindi was good, I often rolled low or a direct hit, and when I rolled high it scattered onto enemy troops. The Tank Hunting Terminators did well. They stopped his Land Raider from shooting most of the game, and wrecked it in combat when it got too close. The new storm shields failed first time. Two lascannon hits, so I pick up my dice and boldly claim 3++ to save, and rolled a 1 & a 2. But all in all, a fun game. We are thinking of doing a combined BT list for the doubles at the end of the year.

I was a initially a bit dubious about your ability to deal with some armies- Orks, Guard and Tyranids. The combination of masses of lesser troops and some big nasty stuff. I think you've got a good list, you're just going to have to play well and to the mission against some army's. But I'm sure you'll be up to the challenge. I think that's the good thing about the Vindicator and Cyclone missile launchers- being good at thinning numbers and cracking armour.

I'm wanting to try something else for my BT. I'm thinking of a combination of footslogging and Rhino rush.
I need to play test against a few opponents as it has some obvious weaknesses.
The list:
Emperors Champion with the Accept any Challange Vow
Chaplain (MoS), Frags, Terminator Honours, Bolt Pistol, 3 Cenobyte Servitors.
10 Initiates/10 Neophytes, Flamer, Powerfist
7 Initiates/2 Neophytes, Melta Gun, Powerfist, Rhino, EA, Smoke.
6 Initiates/4 Neophytes, Melta Gun, Powerfist, Rhino, EA, Smoke.
6 Initiates, Missile Launcher, Razorback, EA, TLLC, Smoke.
Predator Destructor, Las Sponsons, PotMS, EA, Smoke.
Predator Annihilator, HB Sponsons, PotMS, EA. *
6 Initiates/4 Neophytes, Flamer, Powerfist, Rhino, EA, Smoke. *
5 Initiates, Missile Launcher *
2 HQ units with power weapons, one is str 6 40 Initiates 20 Neophytes 2 Predators 3 Rhino's 1 Razorback
If the army lacks a certain punch I could drop these three units marked with an * and replace them with a LRC with 5 Furious charging Terminators. The thing I find is plenty of opponents target this unit and usually stop it before it gets too far into the table.
The idea of PotMS on both preds is so the Lascannons can target armour while the HB's and the AC target infantry. If one tank dies then I still have the same option, just on one tank.
I'll organise some games prior to a local tourney in May 19-20th.
Cheers

I like the look of it more than your last one, I think the landspeeders are going to help tackle some of those annoying pie plate lobbers. And also add that fast moving flanking element that should take some of the heat off the rhino's and ground pounders.

Maelstrom posted my speeders yesterday so hopefully they arrive soon and I can get a game in.
My biggest fear with this list is is AP3 flamer templates directed at the footslogger unit. Hopefully a RZ move will see me get in close with any survivors (Sorry Neophytes) and melta gun and melta bomb the offending tank.

The only advice I can offer is not to get lax (lazy) with model placement, keep the spacing between models. A think long line with protected flanks would be the ideal formation. Not always possible I know but it was either that or a good old fashioned dose of "harden up"

Glad I could fill you with confidence! To be honest I think it really falls into that learning curve through gaming category, more than advice from internet generals. Just be prepared for the "new model dies in the first turn" curse. Hows the painting going, haven't seen much progress in your army development thread?

So so. I am on leave now till the 2nd of April. This week is all about getting the chores out of the way and next week I'll start painting the stuff I need for the tournament. Hopefully those speeders can get here and I'll get stuck into those as well.

I had a game yesterday, and while it was a loss I felt the army did well considering it was it's first hit out. I made a few minor changes today, just a few weapon swaps. Here is the updated list:
Emperors Champion, ACC Vow
Chaplain (MoS) Frags, BP, Terminator Honours, Melta Bombs, 3 Cenobyte Servitors
10 Initiates/10 Neophytes (BP&CCW), Powerfist, meltagun
6 Initiates/3 Neophytes (BP&CCW), powerfist, meltagun, Rhino, EA, Smoke (Champion rides here)
6 Initiates/4 Neophytes (BP&CCW), powerfist, meltagun, Rhino, EA, Smoke
6 Initiates/4 Neophytes (BP&CCW), powerfist, flamer, Rhino, EA, Smoke
6 Initiates (bolters), plasmagun, Razorback, TLLC, EA, Smoke
Predator Destructor, LC sponsons, PotMS, EA
3 Typhoons with MM.
Thoughts?
I have made a start on the unpainted models. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll put a photo up on their progression.

Can you elaborate a little?
