I started this army a while back, and its progress have been posted on the Eternity gate, but unfortunately the "gate" will soon be no more. So I'm not going to back track and post everything I've already painted and posted all over again here.
I will over time post up a few group shots etc. And if anyone wishes to see pic's of anything in particular then please feel free to ask, and I'll post the pic's up.

Here's the latest edition to my army, my demolisher/punisher/exterminator.

Have you had a chance to use them in any games yet mate? The painting, as usual, looks good VFS.

Hell yes I have, and they look really good in the new terrain I made (will post pic's of that later). The only down side is that the really do blend in a little too well.

The good thing is that I've got more painted squads than unpainted now, so that really helps keep the motivation up to keep on painting.

Yeah, once you paint over half the army it doesn't seem that bad and you tend to put the effort in to getting it finished.

What's this "finished" bit your talking about? I haven't even stopped trying to convince the wife what else I need!

Nice job with those tanks smile.gif b

Better then anything I can do. I especially like what you've done with the plasma cannons.

Design wise a little cliche but I was thinking of building the same designs so I can't talk laugh.gif

The plasma doom stick of....doom. Easy, I just painted it the same as everything else....green. Then starting at the end of the barrel I used tin bitz, from there I used dwarf bronze followed by boltgun metal.

Reinforcements arrived last week and I spent the weekend cutting and gluing. I should really have been finishing painting a squad of storm troopers, but...... When you've got a hell hound and demolisher just sitting there on sprue, and the fact spearhead has just arrived. It would have been dam near impossible not to have a tinker.

One think that I did have a go at changing was the end of the chemical cannon, to be honest I felt that the existing nozzle looked more like a "ray gun" from Flash Gordon. Not something that squirted marine killing death. So here's what I came up with.

Now back to the storm troopers......

Good stuff mate.

You must have quite a few guard tanks now.

Not many for the New Maw 54th. They've been supported by tanks from the Brytanium 8th armoured division. So the plan is to get enough so they can take to the field unsupported.

I really want to get my hands on a Death strike missile, but there are other things I need before that.

First of my 2 storm trooper squads finished. For some reason this squad has taken me quite a while to paint? I guess you get that from time to time.

Next up will be a veteran squad followed by a chimera. Hopefully I'll get them undercoated tomorrow.

Sharp VFS, very sharp. The Kasrkins are my favourite IG units. You've done a choice job mate.

I started work on an officer of the fleet for my company command squad a week or so ago, I changed the arm holding the las pistol today and decided to post a pic.

I wanted him to fit in with the rest of the army so no flying gloves or googles and the royal air force moustache is completely out! But I did relent and gave him a pecked officers cap. Also he carries a beefed up simplified vox. I figured that it would be a plain and simple system for contacting aircraft etc, no need to worry about ground based interference or broadcasting propaganda to the troops.

Since I had the modelling knives and glue out I decide to convert a priest for my guys as well. I got the inspiration for this from Treadhead's guard topic back on the Eternity gate, and the idea for the F.B chainsaw came from warseer.
