Ok, this is an easy one. What are you reading at the moment? And is it any good wink.gif

Hmmm. At the moment I am reading the second of the Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter F Hamilton. I must admit they are pretty good so far wink.gif

I'm also kinda re-reading The Dark Tower series by Stephen King from the first book, The Gunslinger (only 2 months till The Dark Tower 7 unsure.gif ), Illium by Dan Simmons, The Killing Dance by Laurell K Hamilton (gotta finish up to Anita book 11 by September as number 12, Incubus Dreams is released then biggrin.gif ), and I'm waiting for the new Robert Rankin book, Knees up Mother Earth, to pop through my letterbox early next week.

There are some others too but I can't be bothered to think what they are.

I tend to prefer his 'Brentford Trilogy' books myself. This new one is one of that series thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

I think those and the armageddon books are some of the few of his that I haven't read yet.

Can't type rolleyes.gif

They are all totally worth the effort biggrin.gif

And his books are usually pretty easy to get a hold of at the library. He's pretty popular wink.gif

I've read the first 2 of Night's Dawn, but haven't got round to the The Naked God Yet.

It took me 2 attempts to read The Reality Disfunction, the first time I got to the part with the mutilated body of the child in the wood I couldn't read any more sick.gif

That bit is pretty sick. Fortunately it doesn't get any worse (at least I haven't found anything yet wink.gif )

Yeah, these books were recommended to me as Sci Fi is not really my bag. I'm more into horror biggrin.gif It took me about 200 pages to get into The Reality Dysfunction but then the rest of the book seemed to fly by wink.gif

I'm really enjoying this second book, though there is too little Joshua Calvert so far for my liking laugh.gif

Splash out. Or persuade someone else to buy them for you wink.gif

Okay, then, I'll post it again! angry.gif

After just finishing War of the Flowers by Tad Williams (which was very good), I decided it was time to switch genres for a while. So now I'm reading The Count of Monte Christo which I bought for a £1 at xmas. Its okay so far, but I'm only 40 pages into it as of yet. After this its War & Peace. laugh.gif

Then, I've got Black House & Everything's Eternal by SK to read, the first book in the Serpent War saga by Raymond E Feist, and I'm sure many more. And I'm waiting for the third one of Robin Hobb's Tawny man saga to be in little paperback before I buy em all and read them.

Black house is pretty good. Though not as good as The Talisman wink.gif

And I always enjoy SK's short stories. Everythings Eventual gets extra points in my book for including a Dark Tower short in it's line up (The Little Sisters of Eluria). I love me some Dark Tower biggrin.gif

War and Peace ohmy.gif

I little light reading there then.

I'm waiting for The Tawny Man too, although I've yet to read the Liveship trilogy. Assassins Apprentice was very good.

I love The Talisman. if its only half as good as that, i'll still probably like it a lot. Although, I have tried to start it twice already and not got beyond the first bit of the prologue or whatever comes first in that book.

Yep, I'm sure it'll be a breeze. wink.gif

The liveship trilogy was very different, but still very good. I loved the assassin's series, but I'm thinking I need to re-read it before I get to the tawny man cos I can only remember the bare bones of the story.

Hyperion? Is that about a hotel in which a group of detectives fight the forces of darkness? wink.gif laugh.gif

Not quite and its older than Angel biggrin.gif

Hyperion is a planet - its a Sci-Fi thing set after mankind has first spread around the galaxy a la Firefly.
