Just watched the first episode of this which I recorded off Channel 5 last week and I really enjoyed it.
It reminded me a bit of The Larry Sanders Show ( which is a very good thing it should go without saying ). The lead women is new to me but I thought she was very good as was Alec Baldwin. Be interesting comparing it with Studio 60 as while that got cancelled this got a 2nd series. |

I really enjoyed it.
It felt like a show which was finding its feet in the pilot a bit, but I`m looking forward to the next ep. |

I wasn't blown away by the first episode
but Tina Fey (the lead actress and, I think a behind the scenes person as well ) was a stalwart of Saturday Night Live in America and, over there, is considered one of the top female comediennes so I'm going to stick with it.However, I might have a problem liking it cos I love Studio 60 so that may cloud my judgement Having said that, Alec Baldwin has always put in a good comedic performance when I've seen him guest starring in shows, Friends comes to mind straight away So I'll be sticking with it but I'll be thinking of Studio 60 all the time |

Enjoyed the 2nd episode - I think Alec Baldwin is fantastic in it.
Only two episodes but compared to Studio 60 it doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn't take TV too seriously which is a big part of the problem with Studio 60 for me. |

Ditto. And I haven`t said that for years. They already seem to be fleshing out the characters ; I particularly enjoyed Jane Krakowski suddenly bursting into song. |

I've watched the first 2 episodes, and don't know if I'll stick with it or not (I totally missed Studio 60), but I've given up on Californication.

I think C4 have just started airing Studio 60 if you want to see it. |

I think we're all agreed that Alec Baldwin is pretty damn good in it, at least I'm still not hooked but still watching, since it's only a half hour show, it's not difficult to fit it in. I still find Studio 60 preferable but, whilst they cover the same suject, they're really quite different genres. 30 Rock is, more or a less, a sitcom of sorts whilst Studio 60 is a more serious comedy drama. And I do prefer the latter I have no doubt that I'll keep watching 30 Rock but, if it was a contest for a "behind the scenes of a tv show" show, Studio 60 would always get my vote |

Well if there was a contest for the best show set behind the scenes of a tv show then Larry Sanders would get my vote. Alec Baldwin Vs the page guy ( is that what they call them ? ) was very funny. He must of won an award for this role surely ? |

Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live;
<< Sarah Plain & Hillary Clinton >> << Sarah Palin & Katie Couric interview >> << Plain / Biden VP Debate >> She's very good not only does she look like her but she's got the voice and use of language spot on. |

Rats, AOL froze on me when I tried to watch those.
I`ve seen the clips that are up on YouTube though - the performance is uncanny. |
