I enjoyed this episode till the Enterprise/Columbia story ended, and they went back to the dull Klingon virus story, which was only alleviated with the Section 31 elements.
However, kudos for them creting a believeable reason for the forehead excuse (even though it was never necessary in the first place ) |

This was my favourite mini arc of S4 so far by a long way. The Klingon plot sounded a little stupid at first, but it held together pretty well, and did explain the differences between TOS Klingons and TNG Klingons (not that it was really nessecery). The section 31 plot was the best bit though. This was mostly because of a great performance from Dominic Keating. I though they scenes of him when he wanted to tell Archer were very well done . Phlox was good too . Bakula was still rubbish though .The trip/t'pol story line didn't seem to move on very much, but it looks like Hoshi might be getting sucked into that one. The bit with Trip crossing between the two ships was a little silly, but fun.
Sorry Ken, too little too late. Its not enough to have two decent episodes in a whole season. If they were doing these all series, they wouldn't have a problem. |

A good finish to this two parter. As Bakhesh said, excellent performance from DK, who's often under rated, snd from John Billingsley. The Section 31 was interesting and the Trip's transfer scene was good, though I did wonder how long it would take for both ships to drop out of warp, beam Trip over and then go back to warp.
As an afterthought, I got to find out about Klingon ridges, too. |

I enjoyed it, a much better 2 parter than I was expecting. The Klingon ridge stuff was pointless, and not required, but having said that was interesting, and at least the explanation seemed well thought and plausible, by recent Trek standards anyway.
I enjoyed the Section 31 stuff. (Did we know from DS9 how they got their name? Interesting I thought.) All in all, good stuff. Andrew (HM) |

I'm pretty sure in one of the DS9 episodes (probably Inquisition) there was a mention to the name coming from "Section 31 of the Federation charter".... |
