Very good opening episode I thought.

I stayed away from most of the pre-publicity so didn't now it was a cable ( Showtime ) rather than a network production so wasn't expecting some of its more graphic aspects. Hopefully this means its less likely to get cancelled prematurely.

Great cast, I think Damien Lewis is a cracking actor and the Claire Danes character seems very promising, a touch of the Lund about her ?

^^ Ditto.

Shall stay away from reading anything about it though, seeing as the finale`s already aired in the US.

The blog has a link to a twitter feed which may be Damien Lewis where he says that the suspicious finger-jazzing is actually the theme tune to Match of The Day.

I wasn't sure watching the episode but the blog suggests some of the flash backs may be really dreams which would cast doubt on everything we've seen in flash back.

My sympathy was much more with Brody this week, Carrie beginning to come across pretty creepy.

Ooh, hadn`t considered that at all. And ditto - I`m finding Carrie even creepier than last week - can`t believe ( at this stage) that Brody is a baddie at all.

And - apropos of nothing - Brody has my bed.

The bit where the cell door is open and he walks into the light seems a bit strange to me so that could be a dream or maybe a delusion.

Ooh I'll have to pay close attention to the bed next week, I take it you mean the bed in the family home and not whatever he was sleeping on during his years of captivity in that cell.

Yikes, didn`t seem them bumping off the girlfriend/hooker quite so soon, and didn`t see who was behind it.

Oh I thought Prince Farid's friend was a goner firstly when Carrie lied to her about her protection and then once she'd copied the phone.

I liked the detail about the use of jewellery as a way of moving / getting money. I wonder if they actually made her or just killed her for the necklace.

Very awkward sex scene made even more awkward by the fact that Carrie was watching the whole thing. Again.

And I know its the least of her faults but is Carrie ever on time for a meeting at the CIA, I swear she's been late for every single one so far.

Really good episode.

I was wondering where they were going to go after the removal of the camera's but I did not expect Carrie to do that. Not the only nice twist as I loved Carrie's boss ( David ? ) putting Carrie under covert surveillance, makes things nicely complicated.

So, there appears to be a mole in the CIA who tipped off the supposed baddie that he was being followed ? How Spooksian.

I thought that Carrie was getting found out by Brody outside the church, when she said she only went to a single meeting at different locations, then told him that they don`t expect you to speak till the 3rd meeting... Does he realise she`s spying on him, perchance ?

Oh dear at the deer.

Am I the only one who's finding Claire Danes's performance really poor? Badly miscast, I think, especially as everyone else is so good.
