Well, no big surprise that Pond, Melody = River Song, though it was nice to see the Doctor`s gradual realisation and his smoochy lips bit.

A big yikes moment when Melody turned out to be a ganger.

Hurray to Rory the Centurion. Great scene with him and the cybermen ( and their blank faces ).

Hee to the lizard woman knocking out the soldier with her tongue.

So... Is it Melody/River in the astronaut suit who kills the Doctor/ Ganger Doctor ? And was it Melody who regenerated on that street ?

And yikes to the brief Autumn preview we got of the sonic screwdriver and someone`s `hand`....

Doctor darkest side? River hasn't met the last doctor then because he might have look a little bit upset but if that the best this version can throw at bad guys going after people he love, hard to be scared

k, so baby melody get kidnapped in the past (before the america episode), somehow end up in the 1960ies, grow up surrounded by the silence, get free, go back in the shadow, grow up to kill the doc in 2011, get arrested somehow in the future (5000 and something) , get in a jail where she break out-break in every other day (it's fun but the joke is gonna get less fun if they play it every time) to date the doctor (that bit need to be told), get released, get a job and die (or get downloaded to live in a numeric world)

and i suppose there is more to "the doctor gonna learn who I am" because she seemed very sad to know it was the time for it and the doc was more shocked/flirty/happy than anything else (human DNA plus time lord DNA because amy/rory when at "it" on their wedding night in the tardis). and she didn't seem to care that it was the time Rory was gonna learn that she is his daughter (someone who is a lot older than rory/amy )

when/where/who forest people?

do love rory going after the cybermen ("oh please, less with the blank stare" )but really how can you scare a bunch of robots even with a bit of explosions

blue saleman Dorian seemed to be doing deal with everyone (he was the one River went to get the time vortex thingie last season)

and need to know who is one patch lady and why she is at war with the doctor (apart for his reputation that his name make armies turn around), the way she revealed the baby was a ganger was a bit mean (to Amy)

I thought it was a bit meh, meself.

Mind you, exploding baby was a bit of a shocker!

I thought the "we're the gay fat and thin.... blah, blah" a complete waste of time (and space? ).

As for the tongue bit, did you not hear the dialogue just before "....... I wonder why you put up with me" [[tongue thingy]] [knowning looks between the two women].

Again, not necessary in my view. Yes, the tongue thing would go over the heads of many kids, but the two guys on the spaceship thingy was wholly unnecessary, unless we were to see their characters grow.

But we didn't. Next thing you know the "fat" one is being asked to volunteer his head to be chopped off, and that's the last we see of either of them.

Same with the pirates. There they were for a split second, then never seen again.

I thought that the River Song = Melody Pond was a bit obvious, but am still intrigued by the little girl who began to regenerate at the end of the 1960s-set ones.

And wasn't one of the people in this episode supposed to be Jenny, his daughter?

Or am I going crazy?

But before I do, just thought that he thinks Jenny is dead, so it could have been a misunderstandingthingy on the part of the person what wrote the article I read.

Or.......... or............ it could be that the maid person was called Jenny just to confuse Bouncy.

Ah, now it makes sense.

It did take me much net-looking-up-ness to see where the characters had appeared before in the Doctor`s Army.

These sort of epic season ending episodes are never the best episodes imo as they always seem to be most interested in the spectacular which can get a bit boring whereas the best bits are always the more personal character bits which was the case in this episode, overall however I enjoyed it as there were some great moments throughout.

Loved the moment when River reveals all ( so to speak ) have to admit even though I was aware of the River being Amy's baby theory the penny didn't drop when Amy called the baby Melody.

Nice to get a proper answer but as always more questions - if ( and its a big if ) baby Melody / River is the little girl in the spacesuit and if baby Melody / River in the spacesuit kills the Doctor why doesn't River remember any of it ?

Oh and should Melody Pond not mean its Song River.

Loved the Doctor showing real anger loved Colonal Run Away

Rory was great and aww at him trying to remain cool.

I loved the Victorian Lesbian Lizard Dectective ( and her tongue ) would love to see them again.

And I did at the title of the next episode.

I thought The Guardian guy was a bit too negative and I disagree with him about something he said.

He's right about Tennant getting angrier ( or as angry ) most weeks but the point is that Matt Smith doesn't which makes that moment of raw anger much, much more effective and meaningful.

Imo anyway.

now i was wondering about loana addition, thought it was an older version of Melody (somehow found her way back and trying to help) but nope was just looking for the doctor after her short meeting with him

I also wondered why the doctor rushed out after finding out about River and telling Amy he gonna find the baby, is it because the hint that it was the forest people who changed River's name gave him enough to know where to go and that it was too dangerous after the all "we ran a lot" comments about when he was there? or was he trying to avoid the family reunion scene or probably the yelling at from Amy/Rory about "dating" their daughter?

I`m liking Matt Smith`s performance more and more; there are some nice cutesie bits ( like giggling over the Tardis being a woman, or the smoochy lips bit ) which come across as charming and innocent - and I think in a different actor could come across as tediously annoying and mugging to the camera.

Hmm I'm not sure about that do the Silence actually wipe peoples memory ? Don't they just erase themselves from your memory. Or am I misremembering myself.

and a silent told "ganger" amy to tell the doctor about being pregnant, she did and she was confused about why she told him, they manipulated the NASA (well the doctor implied) to have a first moon landing to get a space suit
